well, I installed this bluetooth kit and the basic kit on my helmet Nolan Trilogy N43, which wasn't listed in the manual as a compatible helmet for the kit. the installation was a bit tricky but I got it right after spending some short time.
pros:
amazing sound quality. the buttons are easy to reach. fits in the helmet perfectly because it was made for it.
cons:
this kit came to me with a battery that isn't functioning correctly. there is some mode in the kit thats called "reserve mode" which is turned on when there is only 1 hour left in the battery power. I used it only once and the battery died very quickly and I started hearing the low battery beeps while I was raiding very far away from home. it worked only a couple of times after that and never worked again. I plugged it in the charger for 24 hours and it turned on, but still on this "reserve mode" and that meant it didn't charge at all.
I didn't like this product...I dis nolan for this...but revzilla you guys are the best
I would prefer Sena HSM10 or scalaRider headsets. way cheeper and the actually WORK...

Installed in my N-103, everything worked just as the instructions showed. I charged the battery and plugged in my radio and sounded great. I turned on my I-Phone's BT and connected with no problems. Phone calls sounded good and clear, the transmit is a little hollow with the shield down, sounds better with it up. I am well satisfied and recommend this product.

A week after installing and setting up through my Zumo 660, I went through a downpour storm and the bluetooth continued to work. Standing along the roadside, with trucks going by, I could still make and rcv phone calls. Battery was still good after one 14 hour day of riding. When the sun was glaring on the gps screen, I could still hear even with earplugs. With earplugs, I have to make sure the volume is turned up. It does seem to default to a lower volume and that is the only fault I can find except price. The helmet liner was more difficult to get back in than installation of the basic kit and N-com. I believe Nolan has done well.

I am more than please with the speaker system and N-Com Bluetooth unit. They work very well together - I can take the visor off of my helmet and ride at 60mph+ and the person I'm speaking with would not know I'm not home!
Just a note to prevent frustration when assembling the units: the instructions do not mention that some of the parts needed for one unit, such as the battery, is in the other box, i.e. the battery for the speaker system is in with the N-Com unit! I wasted lots of time trying to figure this out - wasn't around when a friend discovered the same thing and I could have saved him time!
Overall - very happy!

The clarity between Ncom devises via bluetooth and bike to bike is amazing. We definitely got over 150 yards apart and we were still able to chat with no issues or static. It also works well with my phone and Zumo GPS.

This synced up effortlessly with my android phone, Zumo and an n-com equipped passenger helmet. Using bluetooth, I dialed through my Zumo and checked in at the end of a ride while I was parked and the system worked flawlessly.

I'm guessing it is but wanted to make sure as the Bluetooth is v2.1 on the Nolan site where the Basic Kit is listed as 2.
