Volume is excelent, paired with a smartphone you have it all.
I have tried to use different headsets to listen to music, i either could not hear the music or the earbuds kept falling out. Using the phone was impossible. I purchased the sena sph10h-fm a week ago after much research and have to say im glad i did. It installed into my helmet in a quick minute. I paired it with my galaxy S3 and went for a ride, the volume while using pandora was great i had to lower the volume when stopped at a light and did it with my gloves on, all of a sudden i heard a series of three beeps, i pushed the jog dial in and i was on the phone riding the motorcycle, my buddy on the other end heard me just fine, when the call ended i was back listening to pandora. Now for the gps test, put my navigation on my galaxy S3 and had it take me home, while listening to pandora, the music would get quiet and the turn by turn directions would come on and direct me where to go. Cant wait to take a trip and not have to pull over to check the map. I am very satisfied with this unit.

Works better than expected
The wife and I had purchased the regular units for our full helmets and loved them, so we bought the half helmet units as well. We both listen to Bluetooth music while wearing ear plugs - just cinch down the helmet strap to get the ear speaker pads tight. Sound quality is surprisingly good with the only issues when speeds get up to 50+. At 50+, you can still hear, but conversations are not practical. My biggest gripe with all of Sena units is the slow recharge times - 4-8 hours. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

does what they say it does!
Very pleased with this product, a little learning curve to toggle between functions after you master it you will enjoy this. I have not synced with another unit yet as I ride solo but I think it will do just fine. The noise cancellation on the mic is great/awesome the caller thinks they are on speaker phone. I have answered the phone on the hw at 75 mph, no probems. The product works and is of goog quality. Buy one!

Great Product!
Did a lot of research and comparison of products and decided to go with the Sena as a Christmas gift for my son and I. Purchased bundles and accessory kits to be able to have speakers and mic pre-mounted on two Scorpion half helmets and a Scorpion modular full face helmet that my son uses. Now we can move the modules around to what ever helmets we are using. Now we just need for the 25" of snow to melt so we can ride some more and use them. Can't wait til summer. Love the sound quality, features, and ease of use. Works great with our Samsung phones and even the FM tuner for local news and radio broadcasts.

Sena Half-Helmet Bluetooth Intercom
I received this product in the usual manner.....fast. The system was very easy to install. Syncing the system is also easy. The volume coming out of the speakers and the clarity from calls is poor at very best. The target group of riders for this setup I'm assuming would be Harley riders. I don't have loud pipes and I was almost unable to hear or communicate while riding. The system works fine while stopped.

This product works well and is easy to use
I am in the process of completing a trip from Georgia to Blue Ridge Pkway to New York to Washington D.C. The product is working well EXCEPT for one area. The range advertised is 700 yards and I have found it is much less than half that distance. Fortunately I only have one other biker with me and he keeps up however several times in New York City he got caught by a red light. Even in the distance of one city block we would lose reception with each other. My estimate is this product is only reliable for only 200 yards and NOT the 700 advertised. There is some wind noise at 60+ mph but you have to keep in mind this is on half helments so there is going to be wind noise that you wouldn't expect with a product designed for full helmets. The blue tooth works great and the audio talking or listening to music is very good. It is tricky to try and find a new radio station and it takes some practice to keep from keying the mike to talk. For my usage (low number of riders in a group) I am satisfied but if you plan to ride in a larger group with a leader and tail gunner, then you will be disappointed, I feel, with the limited talk range. It would be ideal for a rider and passenger usage but from bike to bike, the range is limited.

Good product
Sound quality could be better. A little disappointed. Changing options on the fly are not that easy but would purchase again. Very easy to connect to other items.

Don't have comms on my soft tail with my rider and it works well for music and intercom
Richard G on Jan 29, 2016
My bike does not have a built-in stereo. The open road without tunes is not an option. Having nav commands is cool. I rarely use the phone while riding, but I have and it works perfectly well. I have never had the opportunity to ride with others and chat, but others have told me how well this works. I own two Systems. I have had others and would never go back. The idea of a comm system in a 1/2 helmet is amazing.

Update: received in good time and the product works great! It's a little harder to hear at high speeds, but that was to be expected.

Can this be used for 3/4 helmets? Can the speakers and boom be removed from the pouches and reused?
A shopper on Sep 24, 2013
BEST ANSWER: its fits in the ear flaps, you can unplug the speaker mic harness, i do know that you remove the main control box it just slides on a weg fit. i bought the sena helmet clamp and speaker set to use on my full face helmet and its work great now i use it on both helmets
harley rides and sport adventure rides

sena clamp, mic and speakers set #5mh5-a0311 about $36.00

Al
can you pair it with a gps?
A shopper on Sep 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes you can. I have mine paired with my Garmin. So when I am listening to the stereo the gps will override the stereo to inform me of a turn. Or if you're just riding without a stereo the gps will take priority. Same goes if I am using it on intercom mode
My wife ands I switch from 3/4 helmets with face shields to half helmets without face shields depending on season and weather. Also would like to communicate with riding friends. What unit and accessories are recommended?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately I cannot speak of communicating with others. I do not know anyone else who rides that uses a comm system. On the other hand I am a huge fan of Sena. I have two. One in a full face Schuberth helmet and one in a 1/2 Bell helmet. I use the FM constantly, Pandora a lot, nav commands, and on rare occasions, phone. If I did not have a windscreen, the 1/2 helmet system would be hard to hear. I do and I love it. Sena's support is top notch. The unit is tough. I have rode in heavy rain, no problem. I have owned other comm systems . Nothing beats the quality, sound and durability of Sena. It was pretty easy to install as well.
I have the Sena SMH10 on my Victory and use the Victory/Sena dongle so every function of my Victory Cross Country Tour audio system makes it to my helmet. That includes AM/FM/WB/XM/iPod and iPhone.

Will this SPH10H unit also pair with my existing Victory/Sena dongle or will it ignore the bikes audio system and be a stand alone system?
A shopper on Sep 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I. believe the answer to your question is yes. I have a Sena installed in my Bell 1/2 helmet which I use daily around town and another in a Shuberth for being on the highway. You have to pair the comm system to any other you want to communicate to. Truthfully I rarely use the comm functions, but use the FM and Bluetooth stereo functions all the time. The 1/2 helmet has more wind noise, so above 45 or 50 MPH it is only OK. The full Schuberth helmet the sound is phenomenal, but I do not like the mic on my chin or lips all the time. I suppose that would be more acceptable if you were actually talking in it. The only time I used the phone function was when I was going about 70 and accidentally butt-dialed my office! It was amazing. They said it sounded as though I were sitting at a desk inside. I got a little off topic, but I think you were asking if you would be connected to everyone around, and that is no. To have such a quality sound system in a 1/2 helmet is incredible.
Can I operate this on battery only? My battery dongle is tied to the iPhone itself.
David B on May 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: YES, I RODE 6 HRS FROM WEST GA. TO PANAMA CITY BEACH FL. AND PULLING INTO THE HOTEL IT GAVE ME A LOW BATERRY ALERT. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST ACCESSORY I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. GET IT YOU WILL ENJOY IT.
Hi looking to get this for our farm motorbike helmets but just not sure if they will fit our helmets as they have to meet New Zealand safety requirements. How can I make sure? They look amazing, just what we are after. Thanks Mathew
A shopper on Dec 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: If you have a half helmet it should fit fine. I have this and it is easy to put on and does not interfere with the function of the helmet. Hope this helps.
Will this unit install fine in the HJC IS-Cruiser Helmet?
Marcelo Y on Dec 20, 2015
I have been using this unit for a month and I have no complaints. The mic is phenomena, cell phone conversations are perfect. My question is how do I( on my iphone 6 s) summon "SIRI"? She would be good the actually make a phone call while riding.
JohnFed on Nov 30, 2015
I have a Sena SMH10 system on my Victory Cross Country Tour which works very well. The Victory audio system needed the Victory/Sena dongle so the Sena headset can pair to the Victory audio system. The Victory audio system consists of AM/FM/WB/XM/iPod/iPhone, all getting sent to the helmet and the Sena SMH10.

Will this Sena SPH10H system also pair with my existing Victory/Sena dongle so it ties the bike's audio system to the helmet or will it act as a stand alone system?
