Nexx X60 Ice Helmet
wanna look like a martian?
I did a lot of looking at this helmet and from the pictures I saw and reviews I thought that it was going to be awesome and a perfect fit for my bobber. The helmet itself is pretty cool, awesome design and fits on the small side so order one size up if you decide to go for it. The only real downside to it is its roundshape. You cannot tell from the pictures but you will straight look like an egg with this thing on. Think of the martian from the Jetsons and you will know what i'm talking about. I have a narrower face and typically wear a size large, and this thing made my head look so big that I am afraid to walk outside with it on.

No what I expected.
After reading many positive reviews I went against my better judgement on ordering new helmets online.
Now, to look at this helmet is to love it. If you were to see any of the X60 models on a shelf you would be immediately drawn to it. The goggle like flip down visor, the stitched leather accents and the quick and easy chin strap connection, all make you want this helmet. Until you put it on.
I measured carefully several times and determined that I was a large, just like I am in most other helmets.
Now, when you first put this helmet on you realize that is fits quite snug. I would go as far as to say that it was to the point of discomfort for me. This helmet is very round and I have a slightly oval shaped head. The helmet put a generous amount of pressure on both the back and front of my head. I figured that I would have to send it back and exchange it for a XL. Lucky for me a I decided to look in a mirror first. That's when I realized that I just put a hot air balloon on my head. This helmet is Huge! I almost laughed at my resemblance to the Great Gazoo from the old Flintstones cartoon. If you don't know who that is, google it. You'll get a laugh too. So, needless to say the helmet went back in the box and was shipped back the next day. Very disappointing!
In summery: If you have a very round head and don't mind looking like you have a elementary school globe attached to your neck this is the helmet for you. But, if your head is in any way oval shaped or you don't enjoy the thought of looking ridiculous (No offence to those how like the way they look with the X60 on) I would choose a different helmet.

Great looks and functionality
Make sure you measure your size well. I typically wear "Large" and I can’t wear my hat backwards under the helmet like I am used to with open face helmets. There is no room. The design is not quite typical. It is larger than a 1/2 face helmet but smaller than a 3/4 face helmet.
The quality is great and the helmet looks fantastic. If you like the classical appeal, you shall definitely enjoy this product. Visor’s aerodynamic design provides surprisingly, a superior wind deflection which makes the long rides quite comfortable. I mostly ride with open face (half) helmets spring through autumn. Most cruisers know that without a windshield, riders receive considerable amount of wind resistants’ while riding with open face helmets, particularly for the tall boys. I am 6’4” and 250lbs. it feels like it reduced the resistance by 60-70%. In addition, I feel the cold while wearing a full face mask with an open face helmet when the temperatures go down to low 40s and high 30s. Nonetheless, I do not feel as cold with this helmet, I suppose due to its functinal design which also provides coverage for the ears. Perhaps other (3/4) helmets provide similar attributes, but I can’t comment since I have never used one. There is only 1 small issue: you will still need to wear glasses if you will be riding above 55mph. Nevertheless style, price and comfort make this product a fantastic purchase.

nice helm :)
I ride year round in all weather conditions normally with a full face helm. In the past I've used $100 (and less) helms and this time I wanted something nice, rather than simply functional. With the change of seasons I discovered a desperate need for something to wear in the heat and humidity of summer. My bike is my only means of transportation outside of subways and buses.
This helm is exceptionally nice. More than meeting my expectations for what I wanted with both fit and finish. For me it is a size smaller then I normally wear, knowing this I ordered the next size up. This was a good call and fits comfortably. Upon receiving the helm in the mail last week I was immediately impressed with the details. For instance the finish of the paint on the crown and the quality of the leather making up the trim. This is a sharp looking helm and very well built. It is much nicer in person then it appears on the internet.
My only concern is the stock visor is a little dark for my comfort. I frequently ride at night coming home after work and such. the other night on the expressway I had a close call with a pot hole that I hit and didn't see, as it blended in to the black top even thoe the road is well lit. Now I could see cars and other vehicles just fine. But anything on the road surface that wasn't white I had a hard time with. This was easily remedied by contacting Nexx and getting a clear visor. Which I received yesterday and was easy to change. I used it last night could see every thing clearly. Now I am an extremely happy camper.

I am very happy with the X60 Ice. It is well made and has a very unique style. The large size does seem to be on the smaller side though. This is a fantastic helmet for summer weather.

White Nexx X60 Ice
Love this helmet. Not only is it stylish, it's the most comfortable helmet I own.I normally wear a full face helmet, but with the temps in the 90's this is a must have.Incredibly quiet for an open face.So light weight and comfortable.Worth every penny paid. You can't go wrong with this helmet!!My first purchase from Revzilla and won't be my last. The service is "Outstanding"!Thanx Revzilla.

Exactly what I was looking for.
After riding around with a full face on my Fatbob for a year, I decided it was time to get some wind in my face when around town. But, I didn't want to go with a shorty, so I was looking for something unique that wouldn't give me that Kazoo look.
I came across this helmet and decided to take a chance after speaking with a rep at Revzilla. The helmet is smaller than a normal 3/4" helmet, but larger than the shorty.
I am very impressed with the high quality feel and solid construction as well. It fits like a glove and I can hardly notice it's on there.
In short, excellent helmet. I highly recommend it if you want a helmet that you won't see on every head in the neighborhood.
