Big Guys Rejoice ! ! ! ! !
Im 6'4", 180, 44-46 waist. Bought this for track days to zip to some leather pants. Being a large guys its almost impossible to find good leather for track days that fit. I did not want to make the investment in custom leathers or the JR one-piece that i am not sure would fit anyway. I got the 3xl long and glad I did as i needed the extra length which I still could have used a couple more inches when zipped to the pants. Very good quality and works well although I have not crashed with it. I also use it for a summer leather jacket. This jacket runs big, so if your not gonna zip it to some pants, then get a size smaller than you usually wear. Revzilla ships fast, has good prices and the Zilla cash is a nice touch. Thanks

Perforations are small, cooling effects are Huge.
I spent a great deal of time researching items for a new gear kit. The Joe Rocket Sonic 2.0 Perforated Leather Jacket received consistent praise from those who have worn it before me. Having worn mine on several three and four hour backstreet pleasure rides, never getting over 45 mph and temps 85-90 degrees, I know that all those dudes were spot on in their reviews. Logic would point out that this jacket is a bearing suns dream. Black, Heavy, and Leather with Tiny Holes. Let me tell you boys, this jacket breathes very well. I wear a medium weight long sleeve jean shirt sometimes. This jacket is much, much cooler than my old riding shirt. Fit...well I weigh 175 at 6' 3". Went with Large Tall. It's perfect in the shoulders and sleeve length, and a little big in the chest and waist. (That fit is typical for me as I am fairly lean). This jacket doesn't flap, ride-up, or balloon up, even at go directly to jail speeds. Hope this helps.

Bang for your buck!
I was looking at the Dianese cage and the alpinestar avro and I think I made the right decision. I waned a more biker look too. It smelled like good leather when I got it and to my surprise it fit! i have a 39 inch chest and the medium fit great. The dual density armor is very much like thick memory foam and unlike cheaper jackets it is CE approved and also it feels safe while wearing it. Even the spine is CE rated which usually you have to buy an upgrade for so all in all im very happy with it. All the armor fit where it should.
It was in the 80s today and while the lining around the armor felt like it clung to my arms a little when I was sweating, the removal inserts create good air flow and since you can remove the thermal vest im not complaining. The back protector kind of curves and sticks into my belt while walking around, and its a little turtle shellish but thats the worst of it. 3 decent pockets, CE armor, and snaps for adjust-ability, biker look, plus sweet little embroidered rocket logos make this very much a good buy.

Great looking jacket for a great price
I'm 6'2", 190lbs and originally bought the medium jacket. It turned out to be too tight and too short so I switched to the large tall. It fits great and looks great. The sleeves come just to my wrists and the bottom of the jacket reaches the top of my pants. I feel very protected although I've only been able to use the jacket a few times so far. Air flow is good such that I was a bit chilly riding in 60F temps. Two big pockets allow ample space for me to put my little pouch containing my documents (about 3" x 4"). The shoulder pads feel a bit bulky and heavy but that seems unavoidable if one desires good protection.

Great jacket!
I've worn this jacket from 50-95 degree weather and it's done just fine. My only complaint about it is that the liner only covers the torso, so if you want to go highway speeds in colder weather, you'll need to wear a long sleeve shirt or hoody to keep the wind from chilling your arms.

Fitment is exactly as described by the chart, and the padding seems like it will hold up nicely in a fall. It's a little stiff at first, but after a ride or two in the sun, it feels fantastic. The air flow is superb and will keep you comfortable into the 90's. It will get toasty at stop lights though.

Great jacket for tall riders
I am about 6'6 and 200lbs with long arms and bought an XLT and it fits pretty well. I could use a little bit more length in the torso and a little less stomach space, but overall looks good and fits well. It is a bit hard for me to find proper fitting jackets because I am really tall and skinny. The protection pads all fit well and you can also easily remove them. Since this is mesh leather there is pretty good airflow, but in the end this is black leather so it can get pretty toasty during a sunny day and at a stop light. If you are in movement, you get a really nice breeze.

Great jacket
I'm 6'4" 215 and this is the first jacket I've found that fits really well (Large Tall). I also bought a pair of size 36 Speedmaster 5.0 pants to zip with the jacket and the combo is great.
The airflow is nice on the highway but it's not great for puttering around town on a hot day.

Only leather jacket I could get in a tall size! I have long arms.
Andrew B on Apr 26, 2016
I purchased this jacket for its features, reputation and cost. I like the jacket overall, but the deal breaker for me are the snaps. There are snaps for the sleeves, wrist and collar. I had trouble snapping all the snaps with gloves on. Something to consider. Had JR used hook and loop fasteners instead of snaps I would of likely kept the jacket.

I needed a leather jacket for maximum protection, while still keeping cool in the summer. Being 6'4", this was easily the best option.

In the product description it states that it has dual density CE approved armor in the elbows and shoulders. However, everywhere else I have looked at does not say that it is CE approved. Can anyone tell me for certain if it is or is not CE?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2013
BEST ANSWER: It is ce approved, the back pad should be changed out though
What back protection will fit in the Jacket. I have it in a size medium? Thanks
A shopper on Jun 27, 2014
I have size L chest (109 cm) and XL (95 cm) waist, which size shold i order. Would size L be too uncomfortable or impossible to wear?
About the waist I noticed there's quite a lot of room adjustable in the waist section, would it be ok if i get size L and adjust the waist to 95 cm?

I would were it without insulated vest liner at all time, it's always summer here ^_^.
Peerapat M on Jan 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Maybe this will help. I'm 6'2“ and 230 lbs and the XL jacket w/ or w/o the liner fits like it should. I actually tried on a L in this same jacket this past summer and it was way too small. The arm length was too short and I couldn't zip the front. And I actually weighed less at the time. What they say about leather is true, it will relax and grow with you to some degree. But, of course it shouldn't be too small to begin with. The XL has actually grown with me a bit, as I've probably gained about 10 lbs since I bought it. I wear it almost everyday on my daily commute, and it feels more comfortable each time I put ot on.
i wanna buy the sonic 2.0 leather jacket by joe rocket
my chest size 50'' waist 45''
should i go for size 50 or 52?
A shopper on Dec 24, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately I can't answer your size question, except to say Revzilla will take the jacket back. I own this jacket - wholly mackerel I have always said I bet it could stop a speeding bullet. Tough! I live in Florida and alternate this jacket with another manufactures all summer.
Is the liner included with this windproof?
Hal H on Feb 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Not so much as a stand alone product but in with the jacket I find it very wind proof as long as the side panels are attached on the jackets
I am about 6'4 and 175 lbs. what size should i get? MDT or LT?
Yu M on Mar 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Id go with mdt. Im 5'11', 210lbs. and the size LARGE fits me perfect.
Is it just a single 8" zipper or is there a 360 zip as well. I was told on another site that it had 2 attachment zippers. Thanks for the help.
A shopper on Feb 19, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The Joe Rocket Sonic 2.0 Perforated Leather Jacket has both a full zipper system, to be used with compatible Joe Rocket full zip pants, and a universal 8 inch zipper. The bottom half of the 8 inch zipper is detachable and can be sewn into pants of your choice, allowing the pants to zip to the jacket.
