Perfect for the Air Force
My current guidance is that I don't need a reflective vest unless I'm in uniform or it is within 30 minutes of sunrise/sunset. I'm not into wearing high viz stuff all the time, so I actually can keep the vest folded away most of the time.
The jacket fits really well, I like the absence of the collar when the liner is removed. Additionally, the ID pocket on the vest is easy to open with gloves if necessary.
I would definitely suggest this over the very popular ICON vest that everyone on base seems to be wearing. Not only does it have the pads for back, shoulders, and elbows, but it covers your arms too! Even in the middle of the day the jacket kept its cool, ventilation is at a premium. Cool mornings will take some getting used to if you plan not to use the liner.
Great jacket, would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Well constructed and great fit
I have to admit to being slightly worried about buying this jacket online, but only because there is no flexibility to try it on there and then -- three great things: 1). The size chart is about as accurate as can be, so no worries there. 2). The product is great and everything the description says it is (well done Joe Rocket). 3). The team at Revzilla make you feel that even if 1) and 2) aren't the case, they'll help you out. Am very happy with the outcome.

Fantastic mesh jacket with protection for those hot summer rides....
Bought the medium and im 182cm, and 83kgs. Fits fantastic.
Great light jacket and i've found myself actually quite chilly on some spring evenings due to the very efficient ventilation.
Although not in the military i bought the jacket because i liked the styling better than the Reactor and the Velocity... the only drawback being the orange vest being sewn into the seam (so its not removable). This vest can "almost" be seen through the mesh at the rear. I'll probably remove after a little while and its not required (Oz govt is thinking of introducing mandatory hi vis vest).
Otherwise i can only speak highly of features and construction.
Zips are great, has two side pockets and one internal "phone" pocket.
The water proof removable inner also seems to be of high quality and clips in and out easily.

Miliary Spec just sounds cool
I needed a mesh textile jacket for my new bike. I was very happy with my Ballistic Jacket from JR many years ago, and went with them again. I picked this one more for the "miliary spec" badging and desing, then just the organge vest. If you dont need the orange vest, then the Phoenix 5.0 is the same jacket. I like the ease of the vest for when I want to take it ou. i like the 2 arm straps on each arm, where most jackets are only 1 strap. The wterproof line seems VERY durable and tue to its name. The style is a great feature. I would like the arms to be a bit longer, but the chest and waitst are tue to size. I am 6.1 and 210 and the L is a good fit.

Great mesh jacket for $200
Bought this jacket for summer riding and I love it! Meets Mil specs 100%, so I'm safe according to Air Force standards. The liner says it's waterproof although I haven't tested that part myself and easily removes from the rest of the jacket. My only real beef with product is that it's a little tight on my upper arms with the liner installed, but I do work out so maybe that's a reason. Fits nice around the waist and has lots of adjustability both there and around the arms. I am 5'10", 175 lbs., with an athletic build. Definitely recommend this product to any military member looking for a great jacket with reasonable cost.
