Great for Summer!!! I don't normally write reviews. This is my first. However, this jacket flows air like none other. I'm not so sure how it will stand up versus a fall but I'm happy with the arm and shoulder protection. The back bad is a nice bonus as well. I'm one of those ppl that HATES to be hot and sweaty in clothes. I don't think I could have found a better jacket to give decent protection and SUPERB air flow. I definitely recommend to those of you out there like me who love to ride in the summer but actually hate sweating out all my fluids. April 3, 2012

AWESOME As far as looks go, this jacket is awesome! Very unique color scheme vs. all the normal joe rocket jackets available. Since it's just a mesh jacket, it's not quite the same as it's bigger brother (textile) or any leather jacket, but it does have removable padding / armor. It's also very ....resizable. There are a few different strap things that you can use to tighten / loosen. For the summer, I love it! June 20, 2011

It does not come with the liner, however it is setup for it. You can get the universal liner that will zip right in, the only complaint I have seen there is the sleeves do not connect inside the jacket, so they may fold inside out when you remove the jacket.

The JR Honda Performance mesh jacket does not have a removable liner but you can always wear something underneath for better wind protection as it gets cooler.

Answer: 
The material on this jacket is designed to bridge the gap between ventilation and safety. There are more protective jackets out there, but they do not flow as much air. With full CE protectors I would definitely feel safer in this than a t-shirt, but I suppose it is a personal preference as to how much protection it takes for you to feel safe riding.

Answer: 
Textile jackets like this are made to save your skin if you go down. The material is resistant to road rash like leather. Nothing is going to be completely safe or guard 100% against road rash, but textile jackets can do a really nice job if you find a good one. I like Joe Rocket jackets, but this one isn't what I'd recommend. Look at the Speed and Strength line, they have some really great jackets at reasonable prices.

I am interested in purchasing a joe rocket honda jacket and a pair of joe rocket honda gloves. I saw the sizing chart for textile jackets and I find my self being in between the large and xlarge size.

Chest: 112.5cm
Waist: 93.5cm
Sleeve: 87cm

Hand: 23cm (around knuckles) - could not find sizing chart for gloves

As purchase will be done over the internet I cannot try on the items. What jacket size and what glove size you recomend would fit me best?

Based on those measurements, I would put you in an XL size for the jacket. As for your gloves, a 2XL should be a generous enough fit for a 23cm measurement. If you have any issue with fitment, remember that we have an easy, no-hassle Return Policy.

It depends on which size you are closer to. If you get gear that is too big it will not protect you properly because the padding will be in the wrong location during impact. My best suggestion is to go into a store that carries Joe Rocket gear and try a few things on. See what fits you best and make your decision based on that rather then the sizing chart. If this isn't possible I would order the Large and see how it sizes. Revzilla is great because the first sizing exchange ships free so if you don't feel like it fits adequately you can send it back free of charge for the larger one.
