Bought these for the kevlar, but there is only kevlar in the knees. None around the hips or thighs. The air flow provided by the spandex-like flex panels is nice though. You can definitely find more abrasion resistance in a riding jean for around the same price. The tradeoff is protection for cooling and comfort. I usually wear a pair of padded shorts when riding in these to make up for lake of protection.
Be forewarned, these are a very wide boot-cut pant. If you buy too long on the inseam, you will be walking on the cuffs everywhere you go.

Overall sized true to size, a bit baggy on the legs keeps you cool on the hottest days, pockets are nice and deep. I can't speak for protection aspect because thank G-d I have not needed the protection. I have not owned them long enough to test durability. One negative I find is the button fly it should be a zipper. Overall comfortable keeps you cool on hot days and priced right. Always a pleasure dealing with Revzilla

The fit on the Icon Victory riding jeans is right on the money. Finish is very good. The material of the jeans is a little thinner than I would have thought but that is good for summer. Overall very satisfied with the Icon pants.

These jeans are so comfortable! They are definitely not a fashion statement, but I'm riding my bike and need comfort and durability, so that doesn't matter to me. I had my first pair for almost a year until they began showing wear around the bottom hems, and that's just because they were a slightly big long for my height. Overall, these are great pants. Yes, they are expensive, BUT they will last for a looooong time so to me that's worth the price. Plus you don't pay for shipping at RevZilla!

Fit and comfort seem good. Don't know about the protection and durability as I have only worn them once and did not crash. They looked a little too baggy at first, but after putting on boots they didn't look so bad. You can probably expect to have these jeans hemmed as they are cut very long.

Make no mistake, these are jeans and nothing more. A little extra material in the knee area and hips (maybe) with some nice black expansion panels in the crouch and thighs but that's all. There is no armour or protection in these jeans so know what you're buying or you may be disappointed. With that said, I'm still happy with my purchase because I knew what I was buying. They are extremely long in length. I'm 6"4" 255lbs. and bought the 40" waist. The length is about 2" longer then it needs to be. The waist fits true to size. The extra length in the legs is nice when you're riding (jeans go straight down to the bottom of your boots) but a pain in the butt when you're not. They look great and feel great but they will not protect you. I love ICON products and if you know what you're buying you won't be dissappointed.

I like the way they fit..they did come VERY long. Im 5'10'' 189lbs. The jeans fit true to size yet had to get them shortened. as Mentioned above they would fit a guy about 6'3''...
No prob...brought them to the tailor for 15.00 and they will be good to go. The elastic knees and groin help a lot.
I recommend them.
