The ICON Stryker Back Protector starts with a custom molded bio-foam chassis. Designed to mold to your back, air channels within the foam allow heat to escape resulting in reduced fatigue. Secured to the chassis are three layers of impact absorbing foam which are capped by an articulated reinforced plastic shell. The reinforced shell helps diffuse impact forces. In addition, the shoulder and waist straps are removable providing you with the option of installing the back protector into certain Icon jackets.

barely notice that it's there Fits perfectly into my icon overlord jacket. I barely notice the extra weight and its general bulkier dimensions. I also feel more protected with a sturdier back support. I dont know how it does in a crash, but let's not find out anytime soon. May 20, 2013

Icon Stryker back protector Hey man, you can't go wrong with a little extra protection.... and you certainly shouldn't put a price on that protection.... so is this product worth the money.... I hope I never have the chance to find out!! May 13, 2013

A Must Have Great back protector, feels very well made. I have it in the back of my icon hooligan 2 jacket. I wouldn't ride without it. May 6, 2013

Not a bad back protector I first got this with an Icon overlord type 1 jacket. The back protector was on the bigger size, and left a hot spot on your back while worn in the jacket pocket. As a stand alone protector is fit well and stayed in place. I never went down in it so i can't really say on the protection and durability factor. I'm split on whether I would recommend to a friend. A must have if you value your spine and back. I purchased the ICON Stryker CE back protector as an upgrade to the standard back protector in the ICON Patrol jacket. The two protectors were like night and day. Once you have removed the waist and shoulder straps from the Styker CE back protector and the standard back protector from the Patrol jacket inner sleeve, the Stryker CE went into the inner sleeve on the Patrol jacket with minimal effort. I hope not to find out its effectiveness, but it gave me an extra bit of confidence. I am a slim 6'2" @ 195# and I didn't notice the extra mass of the Stryker CE. The weather has not been extremely hot so I can't comment on the airflow. In my humble opinion, this is a must have if you ride motorcycles. April 29, 2013

Works great! I bought this protector as a replacement for the soft back armor in my new Icon Patrol Raiden Waterproof Jacket. The protector is easily removed from the straps it came with, and fit inside the jacket with no problems or difficulties. You can of course feel it inside the jacket due to it being a rigid design, but it doesn't hamper mobility at all. A great safety upgrade. April 22, 2013
