Icon Pursuit Perforated Gloves

Fits like a glove... You’ve heard it a thousand times, so have we. What actually defines how a glove should fit? We think the new standard is Icon’s Pursuit glove. Supple sheepskin leather conforms to your hand. Plastic knuckle armor for protection, but hidden for a refined look. All over perforation for all day comfort. Reinforced goatskin palm to combat those nasty encounters with the asphalt. Try it on for yourself and then decide. This is what a glove was meant to be.

  • Pittards sheepskin chassis for great fit
  • Goatskin leather palm overlay for durability
  • Integrated knuckle armor for protection
  • Secure wrist closure keeps the glove in place
  • Expansion gussets to improve overall flexibility
  • Snap to keep gloves together while not in use

Fits like an......Icon Pursuit Perforated Glove! I normally wear a 2XL, but most reviews said these gloves were on the smaller side, so I went with 3XL. They fit perfectly. The left is a little hard to get on, but once on, I hardly notice them. 3 hour ride on a 95° day, and my hands weren't even damp. The knuckle protection could be a little harder, but compared to my old $40 perforated leather gloves, it's a big improvement. Price is high compared to some, but very happy with these gloves. Fit and look good, nice protection and air flow. The size is good, maybe on the slightly smaller size but I think they will stretch a little with more use. Protection is where you want it and seems durable. They do not work at all with touchscreen phones. I knew that going in but some of the alpinestars I had weren't made for it either but they had a small patch of leather on the finger tip area that actually worked. No biggie, next time I might think about the touchscreen version if the price comes down. July 28, 2014
Had to get another pair. I have had a pair of Icon Pursuit Perforated Gloves for at least 10 years and finally wore them out. The perforated leather on the inside of the gloves, near the thumb on the palm, wore thru. It was worse on the throttle side. I cannot complain because of all the miles I have put on these gloves over 10 years in sweltering heat. I am sure all that sweat helped weaken the leather. I did treat the gloves with leather preservative. So, even though the price has gone up on the Icon Pursuit, I could not find another glove like this one. The fit and feel of these gloves are like none other. I can only hope this next pair will serve me just as well. They don't offer the maximum protection, but in extreme summer heat, a little compromise is in order. After much research, I decided to order from Revzilla because of their great web site and videos on just about every product. July 23, 2014
Nice addition to the glove collection As any long time cyclist understands, if you are going to ride all year in all conditions, you are going to need to build a collection of gloves. I recently completed a long multi-day ride where I collected a number of blisters due to a combination of heat, sweat, and vibration. So I decided I needed a glove that was going to have better ventilation. I just completed my first extended ride (200 miles) with these and I have to say they performed well given the conditions (60's and misty at the start, dry 90's later in the day). The ventilation was very good and I had good dexterity with the glove on (helmet strap on and off with the gloves on). The fit is excellent, I have long skinny fingers and the XL is snug all around the fingers and hands which means they probably run small for the average XL hand. My only real issue is that I would say that palm protection is modest at best and wrist protection is non-existent (not really a surprise given the design). I will be wearing these for warm days of touring on the road but I will be pulling on something else for days where there is more likelihood of the rubber side not staying down. July 21, 2014
Great Summer Gloves This gloves looks great and fits well. Since I'm only riding when the weather is warm I would like to get something that has ventilation and protection. Ventilation part is great but protection part feels little cheap. I have this gloves for a month now and I really like them. I would recommend this product to everyone who is looking for a protected summer gloves. July 21, 2014
Cool Summer Gloves (pun intended) I have used around a dozen Summer gloves over the past 30 years. These Icons are the best I have experienced so far. They are as cool and comfortable as can be achieved in Mid-Atlantic Summer weather. The Pursuits appear to have a bit more strength and protection than my previous "favorites" but I have not met ground to verify this...yet. July 21, 2014
Perfect fit, very comfortable and does the job. Needed a new pair of gloves for this seasons riding. After searching and watching the awesome videos, decided these were for me. Arrived quickly, and have not been disappointed.. July 21, 2014

A shopper asked: I have narrowed it down to the icon pursuit or Cortech Accelerator Series 2 but maybe you have another one to add. I ride a Honda Silverwing so dont want anything too flashy or aggressive. Looking for some protection if I lay it down. I am in the Chicago area so it needs to be a warm weather glove. I will ride between mid-spring and mid-fall so 1.5-2 season glove should be fine. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks Apr 19, 2011

RS250R: I just posted a review on the Icon Pursuit Perforated Gloves that I purchased just under a month ago. I feel these gloves provide superior protection - unfortunately I was able to test the protection they provide first hand in a recent high-side accident. I personally went with the choice of white for the color so that they wouldn't absorb heat as much and my hands NEVER got hot in the 100+ temperatures of southern Missouri - however in the cooler temperatures I doubt I would have stuck with the glove. Probably 70+ temperatures for this glove to suit my personal tastes.
Hope that all helped.

uberide: Hello,
You said it needed to be a warm weather glove. I think the Icon will fit the bill, but not familiar with the Cortech for a hands on comparison (pun intended). These glove are not uber-protective or track ready, but well made and I think will do the job and give you a great amount of airflow and comfort. As I mentioned in my review, I dig the white: reflects the sun and keeps you cool, and folks actually seem to see your hand signals ....never a bad thing. Ride safe. Ride cool.

hish911: I'm from Michigan and i noticed when i ride with these gloves on in 50 degree weather the first thing to get cold are my hands. I don't know if these would be a good spring or fall glove due to the perforation but i can grantee they will be nice to wear in the summer. As far as protection goes, they are as protective as a short glove can be. Apr 26, 2013

elyseh: I'm a girl and in TX, so this may not be as applicable, but I love the Icon pursuits. They fit, forgive me, like a glove. Really comfy. I have the mesh ones, so hey're very breathable so that might not work in fall, but I think they also have a non-mesh leather version. They're probably more protection than the mesh as well. stantony1: I feel the Icon Pursuit is not the kind of protection you want. If you are talking about the warm weather, I think you mean the perforated pursuit gloves. They are very light and offer protection on low speed tumbles or zero speed drops. I don't think these will hold up on some serious road rash. IMHO. May 2, 2011

Chris K: A very similar glove to the Pursuit that has a bit more protection but still ventilates well, would be the REV'IT! Monster gloves. They were one of our best sellers last summer and can definitely recommend them as a high quality product. May 2, 2011

Whitey: I wear the icon persuit in weather from 90-50 without issue and it is a great vented glove. It is cut off at the wrist so if you want protection there look elsewhere.

Overall I'm thrilled with the glove!

A shopper asked: I measured my hand and it's between 3 1/2 and 3 5/8. The sizing chart says this would be a LARGE for this glove.

Would others agree or would you suggest getting the XL?
Aug 26, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Alan N: I think the sizing for this glove is quite true and it's likely the LARGE is a good choice.

The perforated leather is quite soft and will easily stretch to fit, so it is better to start off slightly tight fitting rather than oversized.

Unless you have unusually slender or unusually meaty hands (!) then I'd recommend the LARGE.

Good luck! These are a great pair of leather gloves for daily use, light duty or warm weather - fit like a second skin.

Matthew D: I suggest the large. I wear size large in Icon and Alpinestars gloves. Because it is perforated leather it will give/stretch slightly over time. My Icon Pursuit gloves were snug at first but I have no trouble slipping them on and off easily now. I have had them for more than a year and get almost year round use out of them. I live in the Carolinas so summer gloves are 9 month gloves. They are a great set of gloves especially for the money. Good luck and have fun. Aug 27, 2013

martin k: The gloves are not a generous size so would err on "over sizing" them

They are comfortable, but don't expect long life out of them.... On our San Fran to Ushuaia trip they needed several repairs - mainly stitching

All that said they offer good protection

STEVEN A: According to the chart my hand size would have put me into a large but I went with a 2XL, I have long fingers and that glove size fits me better Aug 27, 2013
