Icon Pursuit Perforated Gloves

Fits like a glove... You’ve heard it a thousand times, so have we. What actually defines how a glove should fit? We think the new standard is Icon’s Pursuit glove. Supple sheepskin leather conforms to your hand. Plastic knuckle armor for protection, but hidden for a refined look. All over perforation for all day comfort. Reinforced goatskin palm to combat those nasty encounters with the asphalt. Try it on for yourself and then decide. This is what a glove was meant to be.

  • Pittards sheepskin chassis for great fit
  • Goatskin leather palm overlay for durability
  • Integrated knuckle armor for protection
  • Secure wrist closure keeps the glove in place
  • Expansion gussets to improve overall flexibility

Great riding gloves for the summer I ordered the small and they fit great. Air flow is excellent and I think these are great gloves. October 10, 2015
Nice but won't last. Pros: This glove is super nice. It is sleek and allows me to put my hands into pockets and bags easily. Feeling the instruments on my bike is easy. It has decent protection overhand. Cons: The leather on the fingertips, especially on the thumb, stretched out in less than a week from using the turn signals and such. It is perforated on the fingertips and the holes have become ovals revealing the skin on my fingers. November 16, 2015
Decent summer glove These are pretty decent for a minimalist summer glove. The mesh seems to do it's job well. I can't speak to the protection other than to say it appears about the same as other gloves in this style. They bunch up a little around the inside of the thumb, but that seems to be getting better as they break in. My only real complaint is how easily the outer black layer gets scuffed- and shows the light gray interior. October 1, 2015
Great Warm-Weather Gloves I needed a nice pair of armored gloves for use in the warmer months, and these fit the bill perfectly. The ventilation keeps my hands cool, and the armored knuckles feel solid. I purchased a Large pair, despite usually wearing small or medium everything else (5'9" 135lbs). I used the size chart and, though skeptical, ordered the large. They fit perfectly, so keep that in mind. September 30, 2015
Best decision ever for my hands I purchased these gloves based on the simplicity of them and the overall stealth look. Need I say they were the best decisions I made. Bang for buck: honestly, they are worth every dime to me. The construction of the glove, the fitment and overall design is great. For the price, you can't go wrong. Style: everyone I know loves the look. They are minimal but just have a bad a** factor to them that I enjoy. Comfort: I feel like it is just an extension of my hand. They are so flexible because the leather is just malleable and soft. When I ride I feel like I'm not even wearing anything. Protection: if I fall, the leather eats the concrete before my skin, what better protection do I need? The knuckles a also very well protected which serve as brass knuckles if anyone cuts me off, and that's just more protection right the. Lol :) seriously though, great protection. Air flow: the perforated makes the air flow feel nice on my hands so they never get hot. Features: all of the above. Over all 10/5 stars Fit: like a glove!!! September 28, 2015
This is my second pair. The first lasted 9 years These gloves fit like, well like a glove, nice and tight yet very flexible and soft. The armor is just enough. These are excellent warm to hot weather gloves. I'm kinda sad they have discontinued the grey, they were even better in the hot weather, but the black will do. September 21, 2015
Great Gloves for Summer Riding Bought these gloves for a road trip down Natchez Trail and along the Gulf Coast. Worked really well. Leather is soft and comfortable and breaths well in the heat. Nice having the added knuckle protection. I've bought a number of different gloves to try out and these stay in my saddlebags. September 15, 2015
Great Summer Glove Excellent quality. For me, many gloves are too long in the fingers. These fit really good, almost too good. I do feel the seams in the finger tips, not to the point of discomfort, but noticeable. This is much preferred to having excuses finger tips. Excellent airflow. Easy on, easy off. I put a very small piece of velcro on the end of the wrist strap to prevent the strap from laying flat to make it easier to grab with a gloved hand. Otherwise, stylish and well made. Would definitely buy again. October 26, 2015

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Mark P: Great fitting gloves, soft leather so they are instantly comfortable. Very perforated, so air flows freely and prevent swamp hand in the heat. Probably wouldn't track them, all the vent holes make it seem like they wouldn't take a real beating super well, but around town they should work great. Nov 18, 2015

Lawrence B: Look good, not too bulky, ventilated for long summer rides, well-reviewed. Mar 23, 2015
Christopher K: Owned a previous set of these gloves, wore a hole in the thumb. They lasted three seasons so I'm alright with that. Great product, excellent fit. Wouldn't ride without them! Perforation keeps my hands dry in the hottest weather (I don't usually get sweaty hands). Below 55 degrees you will require hand warmers. The leather is thin, I wouldn't want to slide across pavement with them. Still better than bare knuckles for all you squids. Mar 22, 2015
Trevor J: Too keep my hands cool while riding. I live in Hawaii very warm riding conditions year round. Mar 15, 2015
Dan M: Needed new gloves... Now 8 months later, very happy with my choice. They can handle medium wear and tear... I put 2000 miles on them in 3 months and they stood up pretty well... A tiny bit of abrasion in-between thumb and index... Other than that, relatively good venting while offering decent protection. Mar 9, 2015

A shopper asked: I have narrowed it down to the icon pursuit or Cortech Accelerator Series 2 but maybe you have another one to add. I ride a Honda Silverwing so dont want anything too flashy or aggressive. Looking for some protection if I lay it down. I am in the Chicago area so it needs to be a warm weather glove. I will ride between mid-spring and mid-fall so 1.5-2 season glove should be fine. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks Apr 19, 2011

uberide: Hello,
You said it needed to be a warm weather glove. I think the Icon will fit the bill, but not familiar with the Cortech for a hands on comparison (pun intended). These glove are not uber-protective or track ready, but well made and I think will do the job and give you a great amount of airflow and comfort. As I mentioned in my review, I dig the white: reflects the sun and keeps you cool, and folks actually seem to see your hand signals ....never a bad thing. Ride safe. Ride cool.

hish911: I'm from Michigan and i noticed when i ride with these gloves on in 50 degree weather the first thing to get cold are my hands. I don't know if these would be a good spring or fall glove due to the perforation but i can grantee they will be nice to wear in the summer. As far as protection goes, they are as protective as a short glove can be. Apr 26, 2013

RS250R: I just posted a review on the Icon Pursuit Perforated Gloves that I purchased just under a month ago. I feel these gloves provide superior protection - unfortunately I was able to test the protection they provide first hand in a recent high-side accident. I personally went with the choice of white for the color so that they wouldn't absorb heat as much and my hands NEVER got hot in the 100+ temperatures of southern Missouri - however in the cooler temperatures I doubt I would have stuck with the glove. Probably 70+ temperatures for this glove to suit my personal tastes.
Hope that all helped.

elyseh: I'm a girl and in TX, so this may not be as applicable, but I love the Icon pursuits. They fit, forgive me, like a glove. Really comfy. I have the mesh ones, so hey're very breathable so that might not work in fall, but I think they also have a non-mesh leather version. They're probably more protection than the mesh as well. stantony1: I feel the Icon Pursuit is not the kind of protection you want. If you are talking about the warm weather, I think you mean the perforated pursuit gloves. They are very light and offer protection on low speed tumbles or zero speed drops. I don't think these will hold up on some serious road rash. IMHO. May 2, 2011

Chris K: A very similar glove to the Pursuit that has a bit more protection but still ventilates well, would be the REV'IT! Monster gloves. They were one of our best sellers last summer and can definitely recommend them as a high quality product. May 2, 2011

Whitey: I wear the icon persuit in weather from 90-50 without issue and it is a great vented glove. It is cut off at the wrist so if you want protection there look elsewhere.

Overall I'm thrilled with the glove!

A shopper asked: I measured my hand and it's between 3 1/2 and 3 5/8. The sizing chart says this would be a LARGE for this glove.

Would others agree or would you suggest getting the XL?
Aug 26, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Alan N: I think the sizing for this glove is quite true and it's likely the LARGE is a good choice.

The perforated leather is quite soft and will easily stretch to fit, so it is better to start off slightly tight fitting rather than oversized.

Unless you have unusually slender or unusually meaty hands (!) then I'd recommend the LARGE.

Good luck! These are a great pair of leather gloves for daily use, light duty or warm weather - fit like a second skin.

Matthew D: I suggest the large. I wear size large in Icon and Alpinestars gloves. Because it is perforated leather it will give/stretch slightly over time. My Icon Pursuit gloves were snug at first but I have no trouble slipping them on and off easily now. I have had them for more than a year and get almost year round use out of them. I live in the Carolinas so summer gloves are 9 month gloves. They are a great set of gloves especially for the money. Good luck and have fun. Aug 27, 2013

martin k: The gloves are not a generous size so would err on "over sizing" them

They are comfortable, but don't expect long life out of them.... On our San Fran to Ushuaia trip they needed several repairs - mainly stitching

All that said they offer good protection
