Icon PDX Rain Bibs

Following the same design criteria as the PDX Jacket, the ‘rain gear that doesn’t suck, Icon brings you the PDX Bib. The same ripstop waterproof material but cut into a high backed same seam sealed bib. Full-length leg zippers eliminate the ”one-footed man in an dance contest” all too common with waterproof over pants. Finally, Icon finished up the garment with some well placed cargo pockets and reflective graphic hits.

Features:

  • Heavy duty nylon waterproof shell
  • Premium waterproof zippers
  • Adjustable BIB straps
  • Reflective graphics
  • Comfort mesh liner
  • Cargo pockets
  • Removable stirrups

Crotch Leaks
Bought these for a cross country ride in mid May. Rode in rain for 9 hours the first day. These pants failed to keep me dry even in the first hour. Like another poster said...the crotch leaks....BADLY! It wasn't going from my coat down into the pants either, my entire belt upper fly/zipper area under the bibs were bond dry, my lower crotch and my butt and as the day progressed, further and further down my legs, were soaked! do not buy.

Regret my purchase
I bought these during a trip from a brick and mortar store. My experience has been different from the other reviewer's experiences. They leak in the crotch, in a mid control riding position they are very tight in the knees, overly baggy around the calves and ankles, and one of two buttons over the zipper broke within the first five uses.

I seem sealed them and that seems to have helped seal up the crotch. Ultimately, I would not buy these again.Your mileage may vary though.Kudos to Revzilla if they keep this negative review up.

Great product for the money
Needed a new rain bib and did not want to spend a lot of money. After reading many good reviews on Icon PDX, I decided to pick up a pair and could not be happier.

I am 5'11 and about 170 pounds and the large fits perfectly over my riding pants and the matching jacket also fits nicely.

All-in-all a great product especially for the money.

A good quality rain pant
I really wanted to go with a full jump suit this time but I really like the Icon brand. I'm glad I went with this and the jacket.

Pros; Good solid material.
Zippers feel strong and are easy to zip.
The velcro on the sides is strong and won't open in the the wind.
The snaps at the top don't accidentally open due to a fat gut.
I like the suspenders.

Cons; The protection at the bottom inside legs for the heat from the engine and exhaust needs to go higher up the inside. I burnt mine about an inch above the top. It could go all the way to the knee in my opinion.
The waist seems tight compared to the hip and legs.
It does not roll down to a small packable size.

The legs seemed really, really long but when sitting on my bike the length was good. I found them well built and easy to get on and off. Also they seem a little bit small in the waist so I got the next size up, but not to big to be a sail. The price is right. Recommended.

Even better than the jacket, which is pretty darn good
This is a great piece of gear if you ride in the rain. It is a great match for the jacket, but unlike the jacket, there is almost nothing I would change about them. The suspenders keep them in the right place on your body without elastic waists or belts, and are high enough to make sure nothing sneaks in over the top. The removable stirups are a feature I realy like because with my tall AT boots, it is ok if they ride up some when I sit or move. Full enough to go over my Scorpion Duece and Shift jeans, but not too baggy so that they flap around. I went black because the high viz jacket is hard enough to clean, and figured the pant legs would just be a grimey mess. Pockets are big enough to be purposeful without being huge and baggy. Not insulated, but roomy enough to go over insulated britches. Pick these up if you want to stay dry riding in torrential rain like the Philippines. Great job with these ICON

Great waterproof pants
Had these for a couple of weeks now, and used them a couple of times in light rain. No leaks so far. They are frikkin LONG though. I have the large Patrol pants, and they come up pretty big, so I tried starting with the medium to wear over my AGV Leather pants in the summer, but while the medium was to long, they were also to narrow around the waist, so I went to the large, which now fits around my waist, but is ridiculously LONG. Fortunately they have an adjuster on the ankles so I can cinch them up tight and just have baggy ankles. As with the jacket, they are more yellow than the fluroscent yellow / lime of the patrol jacket, but still plenty bright enough to be seen. I am 5'7" tall, with a 29" inside leg measurement, with a 34" waist. it seems like these are made to fit someone about 6"6" tall weighing in at 175 :( After all that, they are still a great waterproof pant, and I would recommend them to anyone else provided your not to broad.

Just what I need for traveling in fall rain season. Love the quality material and construction on these pants. I ordered a size too large and had to exchange, but my fault for not calling CS to assure sizing. Live and learn.

I wanted the bib type so the back of the pants will not leak and closers around the legs so the legs don't come up in the wind

Does this product and the PDX jacket come with a stuff sack?
A shopper on Feb 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No. But the pants roll up somewhat tight.
To me its no big deal, because the pants a so good I can care less if the have a sack. They do the job well.
if I wear 34x32 what dose that translate into ( M, L or XL ) ?
karim a on Oct 6, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Probably closest to an L, but call Revzilla, they are the experts on sizing this stuff. They are cut long, and narrow, so with my 30" inseam I have a LOT of extra material over, but they cinch up nice and tight at the angle so it doesn't get in the way when I walk.
Will the legs unzip up the sides far enough to get on/off without having to take my boots off?
A shopper on Oct 2, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Not with riding boots, you may be OK with sneakers or shoes but I don't think you'd be wearing them with these pants. It only takes 20 seconds to get em on or off.
