You can direct traffic with this yellow rain gear
I like my obnoxiously bright yellow First Gear Sierra Day Glo Rain Jacket and Pants. If they run you over in the rain when you are wearing one of these, it must have been intentional. I bought it because of the quality and features and the color and I am happy with all. It is expensive, but much less so than the motorcycle branded outfits. It is better made and with better features than all those I tried in the local stores. The built in pocket which turns into the bag for each of the jacket and pants are great... appropriately sized and conveniently located to make packing simple. The jacket stored perfectly easily the first time. The pants took a couple times to work out the best technique. So, received my new rain gear and this was the first time I can remember wishing for rain. Did I ever get it on the second day of the trip... hours of it and sometimes really heavy and windy. Not a drop inside the suit (except as will be mentioned below). The seals all worked well. I was a leary of the sela on the front not having velcro but the double seal worked great. I cannot imagine riding in worse weather and the suit worked fine. It was comfortable, too. And, fit well standing / walking as well as riding and any riding related movements. The LONG zippers on the legs (to the knees) are great. Easy to get boots in. (Okay, maybe not easy hopping on one leg at the side of the rode. But, easier than any others I tried.) The elastic bands and velcro seals at the legs and arms hold the pants and jacket securely. I did have a rain leakage issue but that may be a user issue. My shirt was wet at my stomach. I think the water rolled up my legs and under the jacket and onto my shirt. There are pull straps and clamps inside the jacket on both sides but I did not use those. I will use those next time. I bought an XL because I have long arms and legs although I am thin, so that might have contributed to the water access without the drawstrings being tightened. Would I buy this again if I had to replace my new suit... absolutely, and no hesitation to recommend it. What would I tell First Gear? I really like this yellow color BUT does it ever pick up sprayed road dirt / oils AND is that ever hard to clean. I had to soak the stains in diswashing detergent and some of them still show light risidual stain marks. The material really needs to have a finish that prevents that or at least makes cleaning less burdensome. This is a serious issue. The strength and feel and comfort of the material is good but there is something wrong with the finish. I think I forgot to mention... the construction quality is excellent... both how it is put together for movement and the quality of seam joining.
