This specific helmet is much more affordable than other brands considering the style, comforts, protection, durability, and features. As most icon helmets, this "claymore" is a win for sure since it proved so many people still praised on mine even I've been using it daily for 2 years now. It's so comfy, easy to clean up since it come with care instructions, and proved to be durable in protecting rider head and face against wind blast and flying debris. Features part also stands out cause only icon helmet offer so good air flows and I can wear it during 100 degrees summer time. Plus the spoiler proved to be stable during high speed riding. Overall I'm very satisfied with this helmet and been saving to get icon full carbon helmet. Thanks icon and the great staffs of rev'zilla.

A very nice helmet with excellent features and comfort in this pricerange. Ive had this for about six months now and couldnt be happier. Taken it on all day rides and it is light enough that it doesnt leave my neck hating me! Even w/o the closeout deal this is a good value IMO but at $200 it is a no-brainer. Literally my only complaints so far have been the visor replacement can be a bit finicky and the chin skirt gets a bit in the way when taking the helmet off (prob more an issue w/ my nose anyways). Highly recommend getting the light smoke pro shield to go with this for a really sweet look that can get by at night if you cant swap it out. Noise and comfort levels are great, vents are easy to operate w/ gloves, bit snug but that is fine by me as I think my last one was too loose anyways and sure it will loosen w/ time. Looking forward to taking this on the track next season!

Keep in mind that I am a total newb and this is my first helmet! Can't state shape etc as I have no comparison!
I used the size chart provided and the helmet is a good fit but there could be slightly more length to the straps as i have to work them up my face before taking the helmet off or they grab at my cheeks, but once I figured that out, all good!
Seems to be a nice light helmet and I used it today on a fairly warm day over 30°C (86°F) and the airflow around the lower face was excellent. Around the top of the head was also good.
Can't really comment on protection and hope I never find out!

Love the fit and styling of the airframe, I got the blue claymore. A little loader than I expected and I wish it would flow air through the vents a little better when they are open. But I can hardly complain about those. It is a big upgrade from the SSR I was using before. I have only 2 real complaints about this helmet. The first is the locking pin for the visor makes it so I have to use two hands almost every time to open the visor (especially when it is cold). The second is when you have a passenger, in certain head positions the helmet bucks like a bronco. Not sure how other helmets in this pricepoint handle in that way but I was annoying for me. Overall I am pleased with the helmet but may look for a different model when I need to replace it.

After a 30 minute ride I have found the wind noise to be high but not unbearable, which was a big concern for me. Light weight, good fit, seemingly good build, and excellent ventilation make this helmet a great buy for the money. Only real concern would be the "cheaper" feeling vent controls but I really don't see that being a problem even with regular use, just an observation compared to some higher priced helmets (Shoei, Arai). The cheek pads seem to be a concern for some people but I find the tighter fit on my face desirable. As long as this thing holds up like I think it will, I am and will be very pleased with this helmet!

I would rate this as an average helmet, nothing too fancy, but definitely a step up from the "entry level" helmets. The liner is nice, pretty comfortable around the face, but lacks padding for the top portion of the head. The helmet allows for good airflow through the upper vents, but of course, this is at the expense of noise. The helmet is rather quiet with the vents closed, however.
I would say the fit is intermediate-round oval. I get pressure points on both the front and back of my head after about 20 minutes in the helmet.
Styling and graphics are pretty cool. This helmet has a very aggressive look to it, which makes it stand out. Parts do not feel as solid compared to those on my Shoei, however they don't feel cheap either.
All in all, its a good mid-range helmet that packs wonderful styling, with good features, and a great price. Would recommend.

Got this in the Slayer coloration with a dark smoke visor, and it looks wicked. :D
There is definitely a LOT of air flow once all the vents are open, great for the hot summer days of the Sacramento area. The only problem I have with it is Icon's supposed "quick change" shield system; it's an absolute pain in the ass the first few times. Also, I started getting an unusual amount of whistling noise after the first couple rides, even with all the vents closed. An Icon rep said to check that the mounting brackets for the visor to make sure that they are screwed in properly. Haven't had a chance to test it yet. I've researched this problem and it's very rare so I wouldn't let it deter you from purchasing an otherwise great product.
