runs small very disappointed. bought these for my birthday, and they run much smaller than the size guide would have you believe. i've been an 18 for years, and i wear an 18 in so many things. i measured my pants before ordering these pants, and they just don't fit the way the measurements say they will. i got them on, but they certainly won't close or wear comfortably. very disappointed with this sizing chart and product. Answer: 
The Firstgear TPG Women's Escape Pants are designed to be worn as an over pant, but we suppose you could use them as a normal pant if you really wanted. If you decided to go this route, we recommend sizing down as the pants come over-sized to fit over top of your clothes.
