Wolfman Small Expedition Tank Bag Although the installation instructions took a little figuring out (and help from a friend familiar with similar products) the bag itself was great. It held just the right amount of small equipment (GoPro camera, sunglasses, snacks, etc.) and was perfect for my needs. Easily removed at night and remounted in the morning. Overall it was just right for my trip. February 16, 2015
Tuff light weight tank bag Great tank bag for day rides. Easy to keep clean with the canvas sides and good water resistance. December 27, 2014
Great Dual Sport tank bag for DR650SE Great tank bag for my DR650SE. So far so good. If you have a dual sport or an adventure motorcycle, you already know that most bags will not fit the shape of the tank. This bag is designed to strap around the frame below the steering and seat. The bag stays put with the 4 buckles and is clear of the gas cap. The top pocket is where I place maps or my MP3 player. The top is held on with 2 buckles and flips out of the way to reach inside. There is a draw string that holds the bottom section closed. I usually have glove liners, runner sleeves, aspirin and visor cleaner in there. There's enough room for a bottle of water too. Can't say how durable it is as I've only used it for a few rides so far. Don't know how waterproof it is either, will probably ride through some rain or a creek eventually. Will update. Large expedition tank bag on 955 tiger I was looking for a tank bag that would for on my Tiger. I did not want to worry about a rain cover. I wanted larger capacity but I did not want it in the way. This workout great. August 11, 2014
No frills tank bag If you are looking for a no frills tank bag this is it. It is a well built, solid bag that looks the business. I haven't gotten it wet yet so I can't speak to it's water proofing. The non-slip bottom and strap pads work a treat and the bag doesn't move. You don't even have to strap it down within an inch of it's life! The map top is trick and easy to use. Lots room inside and it'll expand some. Easy use when filling up with petrol as well. The one thing it could've used was a handle at the front. I'm not bothered to attach the shoulder strap every time I want to take the bag with me. January 20, 2014
Big enough I put this bag on my F650GS Twin. It fits well and still allows easy access to the ignition switch and I can see the gauges just fine. Easy to install, well made and big enough for the odds and ends I need to store in there. February 10, 2014
good quality well made I tried my mates GL fandango tank bag on my KTM690 fitted with a safari aux tank, I purchased this bag as the GL was unavailable at the time, this bag is definitely larger and part of me wishes I had got the GL bag in the end, I think it would have fitted my particular application better, nothing against the bag as build quality is great and seems robust. but the awkward shape of the fuel filler area of the Safari tank on the KTM690 worked better with the GL bags IMHO July 21, 2013

A shopper asked: I have a 2011 V Strom. Which tank bag has the best fit: the Rainier or the Expedition? Aug 27, 2013

Charles R: Hello,

I have a BMW G650GS, for reference, and I got the Sm Expedition bag, which I have been happy with. For starters, dimensionally the Sm Exped is quite a bit smaller than the Ranier, with the concurrent volume difference. Both are for sloped tanks. I would suggest mocking up a paper or cardboard box since all the dimensions are given. My wild guess is the Ranier is going to be too big and in your face with a 10" height on the low side, the side nearest the rider, although a guy on Youtube put one on a Sertao. Try the mock up idea, you will get a good representation of the actual size.

Good luck.

David G: I have a KTM 950 and went with the Large Expedition. Great bag and waterproof. But if I had it to do over again I would go with the Ranier because I like to get into my bag while riding sometimes and not having a zippered opening makes it difficult. If that is not a concern of yours the Expedition is excellent and holds a ton of stuff. Good luck. Aug 27, 2013

A s: I have the expedition and it fits very well on my '07 vstrom 1000. I can't imagine how another bag would fit better. Sep 16, 2013
