No More Sneakers
No excuses any more, if you ride in sneakers stop it. For not much more than the cost of high-tops you can ride in a shoe that fits great and protects you if you go down. I wear size 10 1/2 D and got the size 44 and they fit great. I would say if you are in between sizes go smaller as they are a bit large to size. I really like TCX brand and would buy these again.

Very good commuters
I bought these to wear as an upgrade from work boots, for commuting and some day trips. Wanted something with a bit more protection and comfort.

PROS
The few times I've been caught in rain, waterproofing has worked just fine.
You can really feel the protection in ankle and toe.
Stylish but subtle, they work just fine in any setting under jeans

Cons
My pair has been chaffing on the outer, uppermost part of the shoe. Maybe just a weird sizing issue, but something to think over.

I typically wear 10.5 male, US size, but ordered 44 for these. Width on them seems standard, but they run a little long.

Overall, very good for a 3 season, cheaper option with plenty of protection.

Solid commuting boots, but needs thicker arch cushioning
The boots are good for a short daily commute, with good temperature management. Thee are comfortable for walking around once off the bike. Internal cushioning in the arch area is not as thick as I would like, so vibrations are transferred to my feet. After long distances, I have to shift my foot position on the pegs from time to time and get on my toes, or the pressure gets uncomfortable. I'm considering replacing the insoles with some gel or comfort insoles. Otherwise, a solid pair of commuting boots.

Super well made - high quality - great value boot.
I'm a new again rider, after 25 years absent so I am gearing up this season, and needed boots. I did not want anything large and clunky as I am into feeling the pegs and shifter with every move. These boots fit the bill and more. I cannot believe the quality and protection for the price.

I tried them on first with some summer weight socks, and then with some heavier wool socks. Both fit well and feel great. The only thing that could use improvement is the support in the foot bed. I prefer a decent arch in footwear. This boots seems more towards the flat side. I just added a quality insert as I do to most of my shoes - issue solved. Also, I was not sure I would like the fit because I do not like my toes squeezed, and these boots have a pointed toe, sort of like some nasty office shoes I use to wear (ouch). The toe on this boot is great and super comfortable not to mention reinforced for superior protection.

I usually wear a 10.5 US medium width. I always increase to an 11 for EU sizes or whatever an 11 equates to, and the fit is spot on.

These boots have already made me a TCX fan. No more Machu Picchu hiking boots for me!

I have to go now, and hop on the bike.

Great boots that wear out fast
I bought these because I wanted a protective waterproof boot that didn't look too outlandish and that I could wear to work without receiving odd looks, and these definitely fit that bill. They are very comfortable, and I have found myself wearing them all day at work instead of changing into more office-standard shoes. They were even barely scuffed when I lowsided on the freeway, and I was able to get up and walk away just fine.

The only downside is the loops for the laces are not as durable as I think they should be. Only the top 3 holes are metal grommets, the rest are all cloth loops, and after owning them for a little over a year (and not using them since November), trying to lace them up this weekend resulted in one of the cloth loops snapping. I'm going to try and see if I can just replace all the loops with metal grommets so I won't have to worry about that again, but it is something to consider.

Great Commuter Boot
Bought this boot for commuting and ordered a Euro 42, which is slightly bigger than that Euro 41 I usually wear (fit slightly tighter).

After riding with it for over a year and a half, it's still largely in good shape with most wear behind the heel on the boot just above the reflective strip (tearing in the material). This wear is probably due to the continued action of putting them on and off for over a year.

The airflow in the boots is poor, but not a big deal and the waterproofing has been impressive. The soles are pretty slippery in the wet and on gravel and the insole has loosened over time riding up the back of the boot.

I have not crash tested the boots though a car once ran over the toe box and I felt nothing. I have had no issues with the lacing but the velcro strap on the top has loosened over the years.

But one thing is for sure is that the boots are comfortable and worn them on and off the bike virtually everyday. I believe they should last you at least two years. I'd have bought two in hindsight because they're just that good.

Well done TCX
I have only been able to wear them a few times as the weather here in Ohio has turned rotten already. The temps I have ridden in these boots averaged about 37 degrees. They are comfy, & along with my wool socks kept my feet comfortable. I wanted a 4 season boot & I think these will be perfect for that. I was looking for an essentially all black boot with very understated markings. The sizing of the boot seems normal, although I prefer shoes a tad big rather than too snug. I am really pleased with my purchase & I hope they will hold up for several riding seasons. My experience with this purchase places TCX & Revzilla as top notch!

Super Comfy,Looks Great,Sole of the boot sticks to the road like glue. I wear size 13 in all my shoes but read a few reviews that these run a little long. Ordered the 12.5 because they were in stock. They fit me perfect.Comfortable enough to wear all day long.

Comfortable Shoes
I wanted a pair of riding shoes so I had something other than my race boots or regular tennis shoes. These are very comfortable, matched my size with no need to go up a size or down. Only ridden in them a few times but so far I am quite happy and feel that it was money well spent.

quite pleased with the service and the boots
The boots are comfortable and fit well. Light in weight and
stiff enough for support, but flexible to walk in.
Size 43 fits my shoe size of 10 perfectly.

Barry M on Nov 30, 2015
I loved the style & protection that these provided over standard shoes.
Patrick M on Sep 9, 2015
I wanted a riding shoe that I could wear commuting to and from my job without having to bring an extra pair of shoes to actually work in. These meet the demand, are modestly styled and come in the color of black (I work in studio television production and we are forced to wear ALL black clothing- including shoes).
I also plan on wearing these with shorts when just 'riding around town' during the spring/summer months when New England temperatures often exceed 90+ degrees.
I chose the WP (waterproof) model in case I get caught in the rain.
You can't beat the price for a CE designated shoe and I really like the understated styling.

I was looking for a boot that provided good protection at a fair price that would look good on a variety of bikes as I have several. Very happy with my purchase. They are pretty comfortable but can see them getting a bit warm in the Florida summer. Will definitely be looking at TCX for a more breathable pair early next year.
F B on Oct 30, 2014
Seems like a good mix of features for the street - clean look, not too bulky, no awkward stitching or sliders that appear out of place, high enough to protect ankles, waterproof and has shift protector on left foot
Hopefully i am right and it looks okay with jeans or even khakis at work if i don't have time to switch shoes
Wish they were zip-up though for easier on/off

These are my first dedicated motorcycle boots. I wanted a good all-around boots for around-the-town riding and long-distance commuting, preferably suitable for a year-round riding in Texas. I didn't want a full-length boots for convenience's sake. Also I didn't want riding shoes for reduced protection. TCX X-Square EVO WP boots seem to fall squarely in the middle of all my criteria. Even though it's a pre-order and I haven't read any other reviews, I trust RevZilla's excellent customer service.

I am generally a 8.5 wide to a 9 narrow, can you advise if it is better to get a 9 or an 8.5 based on the fit and toe box?
balaji r on Jul 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Balaji 7/12/2014
1. I wear a thin wool/nylon sock.
2. Wear a size 10 in all shoes bought a size 10, fit is perfect
3. Day 1 I wore for 2 hours, day 2 I wore for 3 hours and on days 3 and 4
I wore for 5 hours each day.
4. Super comfortable and a great shoe.

Hi,

I'm interested in short boots/riding shoes. What do you recommend?

I'm leaning forwards the TCX X-Square EVO WP Boots:

My Specs:

Bike: BMW R1200 GS
Purpose: causal riding/commuting to work
Foot: US - 10.5, wide D-E, high Instep

I like the style, but I’m a little worried about the wide and stiffness for walking...

Thanks,
Scott

BEST ANSWER: I have always had wide feet and have had problems getting shoes in the past. That being said, these are pretty much perfect. I have no problems commuting to and from work, and I've even ended up wearing them almost all day while at work. I normally change into sneakers because I work at a standing desk, but on days where I can sit some I tend to forget that I'm wearing motorcycle boots. They're nice and comfy.
