nice looks and performance When looking for boots, I wanted something that looked good and could be worn around while off the bike, while at the same time offering good protection. These fit the bill. Airflow isn't the greatest as these are waterproof, but I will say this: Within a 3-day period I rode in 45 degrees and 75 degrees, 30 and 50 miles. Not once did I notice my feet as being cold or hot. In fact, I didn't think about the boots at all. Grip is good on the pegs and the road. Very happy with the purchase. October 13, 2014
Very happy with product Bought these because I wanted a boot that wasn't bulky and would give me good feel for the brake and shift levers. These fit and feel like tennis shoes but have much better protection. October 7, 2014
Affordable option Somewhat subdued style (thanks), affordable, decent protection for this class of shoe, ~waterproof, not great for walking but not intended to. October 6, 2014
Great boot for the price These boots are great for the commute to work, just keep in mind they do require lacing (the speed lace system isn't exactly speedy). They're super comfy and seem like they are very protective. I like the basic style, most other boots are too flashy for my taste. For the price, they're great boots. September 22, 2014
Nice boot. Initial fit was a little tight, re: width. After several rides the boots have loosened up. Excellent protection throughout the boot. Good air flow and sharp style. Have not been in the rain so cannot comment on waterproofing feature. Why do they make the laces so long? August 26, 2014
Good shoe. Good comfort. These fit pretty well. The only drawback is that I wear a size 10.5, and had to do 11. So they are a little roomy at the toe end. However, width wise they are good. Got a little foot sore from wearing them for hours, but I'm sure it'll go away after breaking them in. Only real complaint I have is that the velcro kind of has a weak grip so I can feel them coming off when I stretch my foot. August 21, 2014
Great product, good toe and foot sensation. Excellent protection. I'm a new rider who failed my road test course in Massachusetts. I knew it had to be my old antiquated boots that I used, I did not feel any of the pedals and there was no protection. I purchased these shoes, as a direct result of the revzilla youtube review. I was right in my purchase, my feet stayed dry, protected, I felt that these riding shoes were just an overgrown sock on my feet. The sensation and control are second to none. August 18, 2014
Comfort and functional I was looking for a shorter and lighter boot for hot weather wear. Boot had to offer protection as well as be comfortable on and off the bike. These fit the bill. In the limited rain I have ridden in they remained waterproof. I am sure this function will be further tested. I am used to wearing a taller leather riding boot, also TCX. The X-square has a narrower sole which takes getting used to on rear brake pedal. Boots are laced through eyelets, would prefer speed lacing. Because they are shorter have to make sure pant legs do not ride up in the rain. Once off bike they are comfortable to walk around in. Like wearing street shoes. In spite of short comings these boots were a good purchase and gave me what I was looking for. August 12, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Martin T: Seems like a good mix of features for the street - clean look, not too bulky, no awkward stitching or sliders that appear out of place, high enough to protect ankles, waterproof and has shift protector on left foot
Hopefully i am right and it looks okay with jeans or even khakis at work if i don't have time to switch shoes
Wish they were zip-up though for easier on/off

Neo J: These are my first dedicated motorcycle boots. I wanted a good all-around boots for around-the-town riding and long-distance commuting, preferably suitable for a year-round riding in Texas. I didn't want a full-length boots for convenience's sake. Also I didn't want riding shoes for reduced protection. TCX X-Square EVO WP boots seem to fall squarely in the middle of all my criteria. Even though it's a pre-order and I haven't read any other reviews, I trust RevZilla's excellent customer service. Nov 15, 2013
balaji r asked: I am generally a 8.5 wide to a 9 narrow, can you advise if it is better to get a 9 or an 8.5 based on the fit and toe box? Jul 12, 2014

Donald C: Balaji 7/12/2014
1. I wear a thin wool/nylon sock.
2. Wear a size 10 in all shoes bought a size 10, fit is perfect
3. Day 1 I wore for 2 hours, day 2 I wore for 3 hours and on days 3 and 4
I wore for 5 hours each day.
4. Super comfortable and a great shoe.

Harold L: balajr r, I wear a U.S. Size 10.5 , in medium width. I bought these in the size 11 and the length is perfect. They fit a little snug compared to my street shoes, but they are still very comfortable to ride and to walk in. I think the size 9 would be spot on for your narrow, 8.5 foot. I'm very happy with these shoes. Jul 12, 2014

Loren B: I am 8.5 wide also. Ordered the 8.5 and it was kinda snug fitting the first couple of time they were worn. Fits perfectly now. Can wear them all day with a lot of walking and they feel good. They are a little warm being waterproof but I also live in Texas and its pretty hot in the summer. Jul 15, 2014

Dennis L: I have a high instep and generally need a wider shoe.
I got the 8 1/2 based on other reviews of these shoes not being narrow.
They fix comfortably on me.
I would recommend the 8 1/2's base on your description.
And Revzilla's return policy is your safety net.

James C: I'd go with the 9. While the TCX has larger toe box than most there's nothing worse than a tight boot. Jul 13, 2014

Marie M: I measure a 10.5 and got an 11. The fit is great and I know I will have room for thicker socks Jul 14, 2014

A shopper asked: Hi,

I'm interested in short boots/riding shoes. What do you recommend?

I'm leaning forwards the TCX X-Square EVO WP Boots:

My Specs:

Bike: BMW R1200 GS
Purpose: causal riding/commuting to work
Foot: US - 10.5, wide D-E, high Instep

I like the style, but I’m a little worried about the wide and stiffness for walking...

Taylor W: I have always had wide feet and have had problems getting shoes in the past. That being said, these are pretty much perfect. I have no problems commuting to and from work, and I've even ended up wearing them almost all day while at work. I normally change into sneakers because I work at a standing desk, but on days where I can sit some I tend to forget that I'm wearing motorcycle boots. They're nice and comfy. Apr 4, 2014

Tomas D: Hi Scott, I ride an R1100RSL and they are great. I wear a size 11 and they are good for walking. Not super stiff and look good with jeans.

If you are not happy with them, they very good with exchanges.

I hope this helps. Be safe!
