Great value for the money This boot is an excellent value and offers good protection. There are plenty of more expensive options available that offer additional features (waterproof, skid plates, etc.) but this is a great boot for the weekend warrior and/or daily commuter. This is my first official motorcycle boot, and is MUCH better/safer than riding in a pair of running shoes. I wear an 11 1/2 in Nike, and I ordered a 46. The shoe was just a tad big, but fits good and feels great on the bike. I can definitely feel the air flow when riding, and the shift pad does its job. They have good ankle support, and hopefully I won't have to test their durability during an accident... Overall I am very happy with these boots. June 17, 2013
Best riding shoe or boot that I have owned. Shoes and boots are a real chore for me to find if I want them for anything more than just walking around. Most of the time I just walk around in rubber flip-flops because I don’t have to worry much about fit, but I obviously can’t ride in those (Although we have all seen them out there). I’m not sure if it’s that my foot is wide or if it’s just the general shape, but everything always seems just right enough to be wrong. I’m willing to overlook style and the small things, but functionality and comfort are not negotiable for my feet. I have waited 7 months and about 9000 miles to write this review, and I can say that these are my choice anytime I get on the bike. They continue to be my choice despite the fact that they sit next to a couple of pairs of much more expensive riding boots in my closet. Anthony’s review is spot on, so I won’t add to that. I will say that they are very comfortable, they don’t ever seem to get too hot or too cold, they are good looking, well made, and they are a fantastic value. Cons are the Velcro ankle straps that don’t snug down to hold the laces, and the laces are not a speed lace system. Both of these I am more than willing to overlook when I can get a comfortable pair of moderately protective riding shoes that perform well at this price point. These are made in Indonesia if you care. I wear a size 10 in Asics gym shoes, and I wear a size 44 in these. Whenever I get around to finding another pair of actual riding boots, I will I will no doubt be ordering from the TCX section of the website. So thank you TCX and thank you Revzilla. June 9, 2013
Great for summer They're a bit hard to take on and off -- not quite like a hockey skate, but more than a normal shoe or boot. Still, once they're on they feel great, on and off the bike. The sole is not very flexible, but that doesn't seem to affect the comfort very much, particularly if you put some lightweight foam inserts in them. Airflow is cool but not oppressive on a chilly spring morning, but on a warm afternoon when your feet are sweaty the cooling effect is very dramatic. I haven't worn these in the rain yet, but when I do I expect the to leak like seives. That's the tradeoff. However, they feel pretty solid, providing actually more armor than a lot of cruiser type boots, and obviously a lot more than a sneaker. As for style, the first day I wore these to work I got numerous compliments from people who didn't know they were riding shoes. Can't ask for more than that. I'm very happy with the purchase! good shoes make a world of difference I wanted a shoe i can stand in for 10 hours, have a low profile, minimal sole. i read a couple of reviews and one buyer wrote that they worked great walking and standing. Was using converse suede anklets, was pointless to go to a sports shoe. Either the sole was too high or the design was too flashy. These fit perfect, slightly narrow, they sole is slim but is well designed for my feet. Great arch support, good heel support, ankle protection is good. Very cool to wear in 90 weather. Three days straight, no pain in my heel at all. I would recommend this shoe for a person who has to stand and walk. May 16, 2013
Great shoes for the price. These are sweet shoes for the price. It is stylish, comfortable and seems to offer better protection than wearing your normal shoes. These are perfect for those who desire a riding shoe you can wear all day long on or off the bike. I find it could use some more airflow while riding but it is adequate, at least imo. Amount of protection is questionable but I think it's better than wearing a pair of nike's. Sizing is pretty dead on. I'm in between a 10.5 and 11 depending on the shoes and the 45 fit quiet nicely. These are very well made for the price and I def wouldn't mind purchasing another pair of TCX boots in the future. May 14, 2013
Perfect for the price So I only put a few miles on these guys, but boy were they comfortable. Plenty of ventilation, my feet sweat profusely in shoes, and did not sweat at all, even for a three hour ride in about 90 degrees. Fit is very comfortable, sizing was spot on, and the additional velcro tab makes the thought of them coming untied an afterthought. Walked around all day in these as well, styling was great for casual wear, then just got on the bike. Pick these up! May 13, 2013
As comfortable as they look both on and off the bike. I bought these about a 8 months ago to replace tennis shoes which are absolutely useless in the event of an accident. I needed something that provided ample support and the ability to wear off the bike comfortably. I could not be happier with these boots. I ride mostly to and from work or school but do enjoy the occasional Sunday venture through the twisties. The boots provide very good protection and have held up fairly well. On the bike I can barely even tell that they're on and I have no problem riding in them all day. Airflow is also excellent and keeps my feet cool through the summer. The only complaint I have is that the shift pad on the toe is not nearly big enough, but the boots have held up pretty well so this is a minor issue. Off the bike they are great providing that you are not on your feet all day long. I slipped in a pair of Dr. Scholls which considerably increased comfort when standing or walking. I would recommend these boots to anybody who needs comfortable and reliable riding footwear. Oh yea and by the way these things look snappy, I get comments on them all the time. May 2, 2013
Very Pleased I needed something with some protection and durability on the bike while being comfortable and look well at work all day. These fit the bill perfectly. I ordered my normal size and these were right on the mark. I even received a few compliments from co-workers,"NIce shoes", so I guess they pass the test. My feet feel fine after 12 hours at work. Couldn't beat the price and were at my door the day after I ordered them. Paul C. April 15, 2013

Answer:
The Fastlane Shoes and the X-Square boots will share similar heel support/protection. This is the case for most riding shoes.

Answer:
Yes it is on a similar level, I actually prefer the TCX over th Astars as IMO they are more comfortable, transfer vibrations better and are great to just wear.

I normally wear a 12. I tried on a pair of Alpinestars fastlane shoes and would actually be a 13 in them. What size do you recommend for these?

Answer:
TCX boots generally tend to fit true to size or a bit large. The Alpinestars Fastlane fit small which is why you had to try a larger size. If you wear a size 12, we would advise you order your TCX boots in that same size.

Answer:
I own a few Alpinestars boots and riding shoes, they seem to run small. These however run true. I normally wear 9.5 shoes so I ordered size 43 and they fit perfect. The width is a little wider and that helps me alot.

Answer:
I would ditch the US size and look up your euro size. It does make a difference when buying european boots. If you have a wide foot, I would go up a size (in euro size). Each euro boot maker is different in sizing (just a little), so you would have to try on just to make sure. When you try on, be happy with the fit of the boot. Any doubt and send it back. That is the best advice I can give, hope it helps.

I Bit confuse with the sizing of the boots. I wear shoes or boots size 8 (UK size) or size 42 (EU size) or size 9 (US size). Can you advise me which size I need to choose for size 42 (EU), 8.5 or 9? Thanks

Answer:
I would advice going with the 9 (US). I say that because it is better to be just a little bit bigger in fit than tighter. I think the 9 (US) would be a 43 (EU). Not entirely sure. But Rezilla has a awesome return policy, so take a shot at what you feel would be the better fit.

Answer:
I would recommend the 43 in your case. Remember you can always make your foot a little bigger (a thicker sock) but you can't make your foot smaller.
