Ideal Boot! I needed a track & street boot and decided to give TCX a try. I couldn't be happier with this boot. There's a lot here for the price I paid and I was surprised at how comfortable they are as well. I wear a 10.5-11 in normal street shoes / sneakers, and I went with a 45. Fits true to size. A little extra room in the calf area (good thing), with some adjustment available via the velcro closures. Normal jeans fit over and riding pants can be comfortably tucked in. Was going to pick up Cortech Latigos for $50 less, but these are absolutely worth the extra few dollars. TCX is the way to go for your riding footwear. March 27, 2013
Great entry level boot This boot was the best bang for my buck i could find. Its comfortable on and off the bike. I wear a 12 so i ordered a 12.5 and it fit perfect. February 18, 2013
Great boot Only have a few hundred miles on them thus far so can't comment on durability, but they appear to be very well made. Minimal vibes through the sole, quick break-in, all-day comfort. All sub-50 degree weather riding so can't comment on warm weather use, but airflow seems limited. I wear an 11 and fairly wide, 45 is spot on both size and width. Upper has good adjustment range, fits well on my calf. After trying many different boots, these are exactly what I was looking for relative to function, quality and style. Great boot. Good touring boot on a budget... Once my Sidis were unusable, I opted for these boots on the street due to their value. 12.5 in Sidis fit me perfectly, but 12.5 on the TCX was a bit small both in length and width and hence had to exchange for 13, so you should keep that in mind. It is also not as comfortable as the Sidis yet although I'm sure they will break in. However, they are a little more comfy then my A* track boots although you definitely notice the lack of protection compared to true track boots. Overall the fit and finish is very good and I would definitely recommend it for street usage. November 30, 2012
Great shoes. Long chose. And they chose. And it did. Great shoes. All advise. November 20, 2012
Fantastic boot! These boots are light, fit perfectly and best of all- they DON'T squeak when you walk in them. These boots are as comfortable as a regular pair of boots. I wear an 11-11 1/2 shoe, so I ordered a 12 and they fit perfectly. You will not be disappointed. September 28, 2012
Comfortable commuter boots I'm a new rider and this is my first pair of boots. Weather: Tropical climate 82-95F year round. Comfort: This boot is quite comfortable; wore it around the house on day 1 to break it in. Not a Nike air max...but you will be able to walk around nicely. I was able to ride to work (20 min ride) and walk around the city and the mall for an hour, and while i did change shoes afterwards, it wasn't necessary. Ventilation: Wasn't expecting much. You see the pics, compared to a AStars vented boot, it pretty closed up. My feet feel fine though (unless you wear it without soaks, then it will sweat lol). My engine/exhaust area really heats up the boots on long runs, and sometimes have to open out the boot to vent my feet, but maybe its the bike... Waterproof: I'm not even sure if getting the waterproof version is worth the extra. Rode in some serious rain, my underpants were soaked, yet my feet were still dry. Sizing/fit: it is true to size. Usually wear 11.5 so got a 46 euro (size 12). fits perfect. feet length: 11" / widest part: 4 1/8". With the zipper extending all the way to the bottom, it isn't a problem getting your feet in; it's even easier than putting on sneakers. The calf area isn't too wide; you could always tighten it up a little if the jeans are two narrow. But with boot cut, an regular fit i'm able to get the pants over the boot. July 15, 2012
Awesome Buy This boot is comparable to $300 or $400 boots I have evaluated on this site. The protection is superp and the comfort is spot on. I rode with them all day, and didn't even notice them. If you are intested in protection, comfort, and good looks, then this is the boot for you. April 30, 2012

Hi there, when I saw the review and heard about the differences between the angle of the bootleg compared to racing boots, I began to wonder which bike would fit them, so to speak. Is it the riding position or the style of riding that's important when choosing boots and where do these fit in ? Streetfighters and sporttourers only, or could you use them on a R6 for instance ? I'm looking for a boot which can be used on the track a couple weekends per year, but mostly for playing around on the smaller roads in my county.

Thx alot, Peter

Answer:
These boots are really meant for the 3/4 Sport-Touring riding position. An occasional track day shouldn't be a problem, but they won't be as comfortable as a track boot since they are not designed for the full tuck position.

Answer:
I believe they fit more into the sport tourer category. Ride and R6, everyday commuting, and they're great. Hope this helps.
