I spent alot of time and effort researching boots before I made this purchase. There are a ton of motorcycle "style" boots that look the part but fall short on practical features. TCX designs and makes motorcycle boots, and the final product reflects that focus. The Gore-Tex lining can't be beat. The soles on the boots are flat, wide, and grip well when you need to put your feet down. Yes, it could have ankle protection, but I found very few boots in this style that do. The overall quality is quite good. I am very satisfied with the boots.
I wear a size 10 in everything, but my foot was swimming in this boot in a 10. I exchanged them for a 9, and it fits perfectly. Revzilla made the exchange easy.

This is only first impression, and not a review as I just got these boots. I will update this review as I walk/ride in them more. These will be my everyday commute/office boot, so they will see a lot of wear.
Seem to be good, solid construction. Made in Romania.
No shin guard, no ankle reinforcement, thus 4 stars out of 5. Even if these are suppose to be more cruiser style boot, a shin reinforcement would have been a big plus, without sacrificing the look and style, same with the ankle reinforcement.
Fit is good, true to size. Pretty soft right out of the box, but again, more updates as I break them in more. I had TCX in the past, and was very pleased with those boots, hoping that these will be similar experience.

Reginald B: They would look cool with the Rev It Hawk Jacket and my Ducati Monster / Triumph Speed TripleNov 14, 2013
A shopper asked:Hello. I'm about to embark on a three month trip and need a waterproof boot that can function on and off the bike. I like the cruiser style of the TCX Custom boots, the River Road Blvd Waterproof boot, and the Dainese V-Twin D-WP boot. I have large feet, size 12/46 and don't like how chunky many moto-boots are in the toe box. (I typical wear Frye harness boots). I have the StyleMartin legend boots - like them - but again find the toe box looks silly large with my foot size. I can only find the one image on your site of any of the boots (it would be great if you had more views - Zappos style) and therefore find them hard to compare. Can you tell me which have the narrower box and if either of them are considerably more slim than the Stylemartin's? Also, can you tell the height of the Dainese's? Thank you.Apr 15, 2014
Reginald B:Hello Happy Shopper, I've purchased the TCX Custom GTX Boots a few months ago thinking these boots would look bad ass on my Speed Triple and or my Monster and I was debating between these and the Stylemartins that you previous own. I also wear the same size as you do. I have several Sidi boots but I was looking for something plain jane and I could wear for casual riding and to an resturant w/o looking like I've just left the track. I must state when I recieved the boots I truthfully was disapointed in the looks of the boots and feel of the leather. I immediated thought that I should have purchased the Stylemartins. The TCX's looks cheap in person in my opinion, the leather is too soft. But after a few short riding trips the look and feel is no longer an issue. There is not issue with the toe of the boot and the shifter and or pegs. From the sole to the top of the boot measures approx 2 1/4 inch and approx 3 1/3 inch wide. Well I hope that helps. Going for a quick ride.Apr 15, 2014
Charles S:So I have a little info about the TCX Custom. Haven't worn them much yet but so far I like them . I ride a hopped up Fat Bob with mid controls, more control in the corners. Needed a comfortable boot to walk in that wasn't too bulky for ease in shifting up and down. I use the gears a lot. These seem to fill the bill. Have thick calves and also need a large toe box. These are pretty comfortable. Suggest over the calf boot socks. Don't know how waterproof they are, no experience with that yet. Apr 15, 2014
Formerly known as Oxtar, TCX Boots are Italian made and manufactured in European sizes, so make sure to look at the size chart below to see the US conversions. We have found them to run typically true to size, but in our experience they typically will fit people with a wider foot better
