Perfect for urban riding in extreme heat I purchased this jacket for the purposes of urban riding in extreme heat. The Multitech is perfect for this particular purpose - the jacket has a ton of mesh and is very stylish. This said, I would not be comfortable with this jacket if I was regularly travelling at a high rate of speed since my non-scientific assessment is that the mesh would not be able to withstand a big tumble. So for, 90s/100s heat at relatively low urban speeds, this jacket is absolutely perfect. If travelling at higher rates of speed, I would opt to sweat more and switch over to my Revit Airwave that appears to have sturdier mesh. April 1, 2015
Real good jacket for the price Had my eye on this jacket for a while and finally made up my mind. Now I'm ready for hot-sunny-muggy-summer Florida! Got the jacket a size up fits perfect after some adjustments from the straps. Although the elbow pads are slightly loose (def needs a strap there) in the XL. Looks and Breaths better then a T-shirt (for you Anti- ATGATT losers!) Only thing that I don't like is buttoning and unbuttoning the chest protector! Otherwise I paid half the price for a really good jacket. March 19, 2015
Exactly What I Was Looking For I wanted a summer jacket that I could also wear under my leather jacket, which doesn't have armor. The Spidi Multitech fit the bill perfectly. It's comfortable, light and looks good to boot. I noticed the mesh feels slightly abrasive on the inside of the elbows after a while, but it's not much of a bother. I'll likely upgrade the back protection at some point to get a little more coverage. But I really have no complaints. It's a solid bit of gear, and Revzilla is great to work with, as usual. Great multi-purpose armor - Can fit under jacket Great product. I was looking for armor to go under a Barbour coat. Consider a few other summer textile armored ajcekts but went for this as it has chest protection while also being jacket-like. Not just racing armor. Have used this in the fall season so far under my Barbour International waxed cotton coat (size 40). I'm 5' 9" / 155 lbs. and the Medium fits well, nice and snug but can fit casual Tshirt and sweater underneath. Then all under my coat for full protection and versatility when riding. I can't really fit under my leather cafe style jackets, a little snug in the elbow, but I will most likely purchase new leather jackets with built in armor for other uses. Style-wise, fits short, like its supposed to, so looks odd with a sweater or even T-shirt sticking out underneath. O only use under a coat then take off. Can't comment on summer rides yet. Seems well made and durable. Very adjustable. Happy with my choice. October 16, 2013
ideal for multiple uses the fit is slightly small in that euro fashion. i'm a 40" chest and 30" waist and needed a large. expect it to be quite form fitting, though i'm able to fit a mid layer underneath for cooler rides (50-60 degrees F) after it loosened up. if you're broad shouldered i'd recommend getting 2 sizes up as there are many velcroed straps to cinch it down in the waist and ribcage area. those with very large arms may have some issues. the armor is low profile and all of it is CE rated. really nice touch there. i think this piece is great for all seasons. mid-layer for cool rides. mid-layer plus outer layer for colder rides. no layers for summer. as far as style is concerned, it does make you look like a superhero, thought that might be a good thing. Love it!!! I absolutely love this jacket! I wear a 42 suit jacket and originally had a 2x in my shopping cart but read other reviews and then wisely called customer service. They really are fantastic. I ordered a 1x and fits perfect over a base layer. This jacket is supposed to fit and not be loose. This is extreme armor but sometimes I don't even realize I'm wearing it. It's very comfortable. I purchased the gray and love the industrial look as well. This was a fantastic purchase February 7, 2013
Great style I generally use size M shirts so I got an L for this product. However the L wasnt enough so I changed it for an XL. Great Style. November 10, 2012
Multi-purpose When its: Hot = Alone Cold= With hoodie/jacket Rain= With hoodie/jacket and raingear This this is multi-purpose!! If you want that non-racer look, throw a hoodie over this thing and your good to go. I'd upgrade the back pro though. July 27, 2012

martin k: The idea behind the jacket is that you can wear it when it's hot!! We all had one on our south America trip - 16000 miles - and were very happy

If you are planning on major crashes, suggest you get the Kevlar racing gear...

At any rate the spidi has armour in all the right places...
