Un producto con estilo y seguridad This product has great features, and price is some expensive November 16, 2015
Low quality helmets I've had this helmet for just over a year and my main complaint is that there are parts of the helmet falling off after pretty light use. The rubber seal around the face shield is coming off, some of the internal plastic panels pop off when I pick it up. Overall, it just isn't much for quality from a $180 helmet. Other than that it fits well and looks great. It is loud, but I wear ear plugs when I ride so that's not a big deal. Maybe I got a lemon for it to be falling apart after a year of light use, but I'd be cautious of buying one of their products again. August 14, 2015
Not To Shabby It fits a little tighter than i am used to but i am hoping the passing will expand a bit and mold. If you plan on riding on long trips or past 75 mph i recommend earplugs, it's loud. August 31, 2015
Great helmet Used to use the Fly Trekker which was an OK helmet but was a little too round for my head and hurt after an hour or so. Padding is better in the SS and shape. Also like how the screen pushes up further so it's completely out of your field of view (not so with the Fly), I think it's a little lighter as well. The fast release strap is great too (when you get bees stuck in your helmet or ants crawling in your ear - yes, that does happen)...getting the helmet off fast is much easier. Also goes on easier - just need to push it in several clicks so it holds firm. August 3, 2015
Face shield is rippled messes with your eyes Here's the issue. Out of the 2 same models I tried of this helmet, the clear face shield and the smoked face shield are rippled giving your vision that "fun house "effect feeling when you look through it. It takes your eyes out of focus and gives you the motion sickness feeling. Kind of like buying a really cheap pair of Chinese reading glasses. Very cheap face shield and based on this I had to return both helmets. Darn shame because the helmet itself is really awesome. Face shield, junk. Can't even ride with it...... July 20, 2015
issues! Received the helmet only a few days after ordering (thanks Revzilla!) but to my surprise, the face shield doesn't close all the way... I wouldn't know how everyone else feels but that is a HUGE turn off for a helmet that is $200 and up. You can get an HJC CL-17 for $60 less and better quality build. Additionally, the screws that hold the visor in place were rusted upon arrival. June 13, 2015
Light helmet for the price range. What you are really buying here is a good shell, a decent liner and little else. It's a good helmet and I would buy another for sure, but it does lack a bit in the following areas. It fogs up a lot. A solvable issue to be sure, but have no illusions, it will fog up, but hey, a little dish soap every once in a while... right? Also, this helmet doesn't vent well. It's passable, but just so. As I stated earlier, though, this helmet has it where it really counts and the shell and liners are where it counts and Speed and Strength delivers on this. June 2, 2015
not good over 60 mph Great for riding into the sun. Terrible on the highway May 11, 2015

Garcia Ruiz A: If youre looking for price, quality and good looking, this is your helmet. Is light weight and very nice looking. The problem is that is very narrow and feels a Little bit small for the size. I should ordered one size bigger. I recomend this helmet. May 28, 2014
Randy M: keeps the sun out. Jan 22, 2014
William H: I read the reviews wanted a good middle level helmet could not beat the price. Nov 29, 2013
A shopper asked: i wear a medium in icon a hjc but my hat size in the sizing chart is a large should i go with the medium or large? Oct 12, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Alexander H: My advise would be to measure your head. Speed and strengths sizing chart is right on. I measured my head, and was right in the middle if the small size, and let me tell you it fits perfectly. Like, perfect.

Measure your head in centimeters as you will get a more accurate reading, then open the sizing chart and convert to centimeters. Buy the size at pertains to you and you will be happy with the fit.

Attn Guest: Mauricio G: Hi, I used to wear a HJC (Ben Spies) size 57-58cm and I recentily bought a Speed and Strength SS2500 size M and fits very well. I hope this comment helps you to find the right size. Oct 13, 2013
Joshua R: I have a medium in the lunatic version and a HJC. These fit tighter around the sides vs the hjc so I'd go with a medium if the HIV isn't a super tight fit. Oct 12, 2013

A shopper asked: Does the Helmet have thé option to remove the visor...? Jun 26, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Tim D: You can remove the visor (face shield, not the peak). It is a pain to do though because you have to remove the "aluminum" screws. My "aluminum" screws ended up showing rust after the first time riding in a little sprinkle too, plus they are really soft and deformed a little when using a metal screw driver. You can't really run the helmet without the peak on top. Honestly I would get a different helmet. I got this last year and was disappointed with it. The rubber seal at the bottom of the visor came loose and started flapping around, the paint faded really really fast (hi viz yellow), and I don't even leave it out in the sun when I park it. It is also very narrow. Jun 27, 2015

Kevin D: Kinda. It can be removed but there is a mesh screen behind the visor on the back of the helmet that can be lost. Also the shields look/fit a little odd. My friend removes the visor for out of stste trips. I bought a freeway helmet and mostly use this helmet for hooligan acitivities. Jun 27, 2015

Randy M: Yes it does. They do have these tiny screws towards the back vents you have to remove aside from the 2 silver ones on the side. Jun 26, 2015

A shopper asked: In the photo I noticed that the wind screen is dark. So does that come that way or can it be order to be changed out? Dec 10, 2012

RevZilla: The Speed and Strength SS2500 Helmet comes stock with a clear faceshield. While a replacement shield can be ordered, due to quality control, we are unable to replace the shield in house. All items, due to warranty maintenance, must be shipped to the end user in the same manner in which it came to us from the manufacturer. Dec 11, 2012

Alexander H: Speed and strength ss2500 ds helmets come with the clear face shield. I just bought mine. The smoke shield can be ordered at a fair price and is easily installed (so I have heard). Also comes with a helmet bag which I was excited to find. :) Oct 12, 2013

A shopper asked: is the visor removable? Apr 5, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Alexander H: The ss2500 visor is removable. There are 2 other options for the visor, smoke and mirrored I believe. I have not switched my visor yet but will be purchasing the smoke visor for the spring. The smoke visor is what is shown in all he video reviews for the ss2500 helmets in case you are wondering. :) Oct 12, 2013

RevZilla: The Speed and Strength SS2500 He11 'N Back Helmet has a total of 5 screws holding its visor in place. The visor is removable if you take out all 5 screws (3 in rear and 2 on sides of helmet). Apr 12, 2013

A shopper asked: How would you describe the fit of the helmets, specifically the h*ll n back. 1 being very round - 5 being very oval ?

BTW, I had to rub out the name of your helmet!!
Sep 24, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Alexander H: The ss2500 helmet is not a super round helmet. It is described as an intermediate oval which is right in the and accommodates a large variety of head shapes. I have just purchased and received the ss2500 urge overkill helmet, which like revzilla has pointed out, is sized the same as every other ss2500 helmet. The lunatic fringe, urge overkill, hi vis, and he*l n back versions are all the same helmet, just different graphics. I fit right in to the small size on SS's sizing chart, and the helmet fits my narrow-ish head perfectly. The sizing chart is right on. Great contact on all parts of my head. A great helmet. RevZilla: We found the Speed and Strength SS2500 to be an intermediate oval, so on your ranking scale it would fall right around 2.5. Although the Lunatic Fringe was the helmet specified by Anthony in the video, the only difference between between the two is the graphics and colorways. The helmet shape and features will be the same.
