Great buy for the money!
I was looking for a dual purpose helmet for riding my 'tard and rolled the dice on this helmet. It's a nice medium grade helmet without the price tag of the Arai XD or Shoei variant that is big bucks. I wanted a high-viz color (as in don't hit me color) and with the features this helmet offers, there's a lot of bang for the buck. The big selling point for me was the Tricomposite material the shell is made of. Normally in the sub $200 price range you will only find polycarbonate.
Features:
- Tricomposite Fiberglass Shell (very hard to find in a sub>$200 helmet)
- Meets or Exceeds DOT and Eke 22-05 Standards
- “Cool-Core®” Removable, Washable and Moisture Wicking Liner
- “Airstrike™” Direct Course Ventilation System
- “All Clear!™ Sight System” Optically Correct, Anti-Scratch, Anti-Fog and UV Resistant Face shield
- “Speed Strap™” Quick Release Chin Strap
- Weight 3 lbs. 7 oz. (considered light weight for this type of helmet)
This is a bit of a hybrid helmet in the sense it's a mixture on on-road/off-road features. It has huge cut aways on the visor to allow decent air flow at speed without straining your neck when you turn your head under speed. I have used it for the 1,000 miles with speeds up to 75 mph and feel it performs very well regarding the visor design.

Regarding the fit, I normally wear a AGV GT-Tech and an Arai RX-7RR4 in XL. This helmet is an XL (my hat size is 7 1/2" and the fit is very comparable to my AGVs and Arai. My helmets are geared towards an intermediate oval head shape.
The face shield is a little different in the sense that it has a beveled edge on the bottom to allow a more optically perfect view. If it continued all the way to to gasket it usually distorts the view somewhat. There's ample room for those of you that wear sunglasses or prescription glasses. Tons of room!
Vented mouth area operated by a switch on the inside. Shimmy vents on the top venting out the rear of the helmet. You also have extractor vents on the back located on the lower backside that are vented as well. If you notice the slight ridge on the back of the profile pic, it's there to support goggles if you are going to dual sport this helmet. The visor will close with goggles on but I wouldn't say it is seamless. That's a tradeoff to keep the helmet quiet, with more added space on the sides to accommodate goggles would leave gaps and create air noise under normal use. The speed strap release is brilliant! Wow, I wish I had a dollar for every time I've fumbled around with D rings with cold hands.
The liner snaps out and is easily washable. In hot weather, I'll snap out these type of liners and dowse them in cold water and snap back in. Poor man's AC. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and I hope I don't have to crash test it. It's not for everyone but this one's just right for me!
Life is good!

Good for light trail and commuting.
Right off I will start with the negative aspects of this helmet. I took it to 120kph and it really does want to lift off your head. Mind you I ride a bike without a windscreen. I also found at high speed when shoulder checking the visor actually lifted as well. One of the rivets/screws holding the black plastic tip of the peak has come out and a second one was on its way. May want to use locktite on them.
The helmet fits very well and is comfortable to wear. The styling is pretty cool, looks much better in person than on pictures ( I own orange btw). Quick release strap is great, nice soft padding with it. Enough venting to keep cool.
Good helmet for the price.
