Speed and Strength Women's Star Struck Jacket
Perfect for on and off the bike wear.
I was a little bit hesitant on buying an armoured hoodie. I've heard both good and bad things about them. I currently own a AS Stella Air as my spring/summer/fall jacket. Personally I'm not a big fan of that jacket, while it does provide good protection, I can't stand how limited my movement feels on it. I have a hard time moving my head/helmet from side to side to check blind spots, it feels heavy and bulky and I unfortunately, a lot of the time when I go ride I won't wear a jacket at all because of this.
Onto why I like this jacket so much. First things first, when I put it on, it comfortable as heck. I feel like I have full mobility on and off the bike. I'm 5'4 140 pounds, a bit stocky, and the medium on my feels nice, not tight, but not loose. Length is good, I can be in the racing position going down the highway and half my back isn't exposed. Other jackets that I've owned AS/Dia, mediums are tight, and larges are loose, I LOVE the fit of this jacket. The weight is good and it is something that I can walk around for a while and not be bothered with its weight or fit. The protection is a bit better than I was expecting it to be. The back/spine protector is much better than the standard flimsy foam that comes in many jackets. The shoulder and elbow protection is much the same, and it you want to upgrade to better stuff or take it out to wear a protecter vest you can because it's completely removable (nice to use with my Icon women's Stryker Vest). The jacket can be a bit hot in the summer, I recently rode in 95 degree heat, and while on the highway it was great no problems, but when I was stopped at a stoplight/stop sign you can bake in the heat a little bit. The arm vents help a bit, but it can still be hot in high temps. But it can easily be worn from first of spring to last of fall.
Overall this is without a doubt my favourite piece of gear I've every bought to wear on my bike. The fit is great, the adds good protection, and doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything more than a hoodie.

This is a good jacket. In the hot days it does get a little warm, there is a set of mesh vents on the inside elbow but it doesn't allow any ventilation in through the torso. Also where the elbow pads are located in the mesh lining, the sewed in Velcro pockets are sharp and scrape the cr@p out of elbow even if the Velcro is aligned properly. Its awesome on super cold days with a base layer. The hood fits inside the helmet you wear with minimal restriction. The fit over all I would say is true to size. I was worried the arms would not be long enough for me but they fit just fine. This is my first jacket with padding in it and it is incredibly comfortable while riding.
