Speed and Strength SS700 Go For Broke Helmet
1st Helmet, 2 years and 18k miles
It's a pretty good helmet. I've now upgraded, but as my first helmet and at the price, you could do much worse. It's not the quietest but it also isn't the loudest. The aerodynamics are pretty good, not much wind noise around the ears. It is pretty open so you do get plenty of wind noise coming from the bottom of the helmet. There also isn't much noise insulation. This is in comparison to my friend's helmet which is a Vortex and does have some noise insulation but has plenty of noise around the ears due to the fitment of the visor to the helmet. My current main helmet which is a Shoei is much quieter than both of those but the price is 4x higher.
I also ride year round. In the summer my flat black helmet does get pretty toasty and while the venting on top isn't that great, the openness on the bottom does keep my face full of air and comfortable. In the winter that works against me completely and freezes my face even with a full balaclava.

Great First Helmet
While this is not my first helmet, it is my first purchased motorcycle helmet. I got another one when I bought my R6 and this helmet is just on another level. To begin with, it fits much more snug than some other larges that I have tried on; it fits like it should. Everything else is at it should be. One thing I noted was that the headphone indentations are a little small and I had to modify my Bluetooth unit to fit, but it is still a little uncomfortable against my ears. All in all, you can't beat the price for the amount of helmet!

Looks great and fits well, but...
I bought this helmet because I know I need to try and wear a full face helmet. I've only ever used a half helmet on my cruiser and it was only a matter of time before I got a rock or something in the face. Not to mention that it's really windy here in San Diego so I can't here myself think when I ride and get choked out by my helmet.
That being said, when this helmet got here I put it on and immediately took it off and put it back in the box. I just couldn't see myself wearing a full face helmet. Weight, vision, feeling claustrophobic, breathing right back into your face. All the reason you might think. However after a day or so of thinking about returning it I decided to just go with it and try it out on the road.
I loved it. It's comfortable. It's quiet. I can see pretty much everything I need to without too much movement. And it looks great.
I do have a couple gripes though. First, the breath deflector and mesh chin gaurd things are pretty much unusable. The pull out so easily. You can't really hold the helmet by the chin bar from underneath or above with the visor open because you'll likely pull it out. If you have the helmet on and try to open the visor, often times you'll pull the breath deflector out. It happened to me at a red light and I had to kick it into neutral take it out completely and throw it in my pocket. Speaking of the visor, the tab to open it is on the left side. How am I supposed to easily open it at a light or something if I'm in first with the clutch pulled. That's definitely annoying. Lastly, although you get a lot of good airflow to keep you cool, it does whistle a lot. It's not constant or overly loud, but it's enough to be annoying.
Overall though I'm pretty happy with it for the price. If you take out the pieces that don't stay in and just flip the visor up a little at a stop. You're good.

Consider Spending A Little More
This is what I consider a very nice spare helmet for friends and family. I would not recommend this as your only piece. Especially if you wear glasses like I do.
1. Quick strap is always nice but can make it a challenge to lock up if needed.
2. Provides adequate protection for a incredibly low price.
3. Looks pretty bad all blacked out.
1. You get quite a bit of wind noise and whistling from the weather stripping.
2. It is a pain to get my ears to not fold at the tops and incredibly challenging to fit my glasses on correctly.
3. The breath guard falls off right out of the box, I had to epoxy glue mine on.
If you are looking for an everyday user consider spending an extra $100, it amazing what just a little extra can get you.

For the price the helmets were decent but they weren't very durable, pieces broke off during trying them on.
The durability is not as good as I thought it would be! Two small pieces of the helmet came off when I was trying the helmet on, they weren't properly held and so they easily came off of both helmets I purchased. Overall, for the price they were a good buy.

A great helmet for an exceptional price!
This is my second SS700 helmet (first Go For Broke) and I just love these things! They are kinda loud IMO, but fit extremely well and protect just as good as anything else I've ever worn. I also have a Shoei in my helmet arsenal but hardly ever wear it over either of my SS700s (just doesn't seem as comfortable despite the also excellent fit).
This helmet coupled with the "Smoke" visor looks absolutely sinister!
