Awesome helmet!
I initially bought the Nolan N43E helmet as it seemed to be the more popular choice for a helmet with removable chin bar. However once I received it I was not impressed with the quality, airflow and especially the drop visor which lands right in the middle of my line of sight & severely distorts vision. I ended up giving the Speed and Strength SS2200 a try and I'm glad i did, I love this helmet! The drop down visor comes down far enough so it is not right smack in the middle of my line of sight. The field of view in this helmet is impressive and the air flow is good. Other reviews seem to talk about the noise level being too high, I don't have any problems with the noise myself however I'm used to wearing 1/2 helmets so I might not be the best judge on that. The removable chin bars makes taking the helmet on & off a piece of cake. All in all, great helmet especially for the sub 200 dollar price range!

I ended up buying both the tinted and mirrored face shields to go with the helmet. I LOVE this helmet with the tinted shield, definitely makes a difference on those bright sunny days, not to mention how badass it looks too!

XXL? I think I may need an XXXL.
I can squeeze my huge head in with the chin bar in place (I could have sworn I ordered the XXL size wondering if I would need to return it for the XL). My ears get pinned down when i put it on with out removing the chin bar and I pretty much have to take it off when prying the helmet from my melon. With the chin bar in it looks like a street bike helmet. Perfect for when I actually get a new street bike (its been a few years). For now the 3/4 setup is perfect for cruising around on my scooter (I wear gear when riding my scooter, a fall at 40 mph is a fall at 40 mph regardless of motorcycle, scooter or moped). Riding around briefly today (raining out) the noise wasn't as loud as I expected. Putting the chin back on helps with the wind noise (at least at 38-43 mph which is what my Vino maxs out at). I figure it will settle in and fit me better after a few rides. It's comfortable, vents fine and the drop down visor is great (fits over my glasses). The build quality seems top notch.

Very comfortable, sizing is very accurate, great deal especially for the price.
Let me start by saying that I have been a "higher end" full face helmet guy for years, they are super comfortable, light, and very high quality BUT they are hot in the summer. When I first saw this helmet I really liked the style and the built in features but was hesitant to buy it because I had never heard of this company, but after reading a bunch of reviews I figured I would give it a shot. I gotta say I am shocked at how nice this helmet is! It is light, comfortable, the built in sun visor is awesome, the wide open view is great and it is very cool looking. It is perfect for the hot weather and the fact you don't have to either carry a dark visor or sunglasses with you is a bonus. It is a loud helmet especially at higher speeds but the fact that I bought it for the warmer weather and local riding it doesn't bother me in the least. If you're like me and doubting the quality or worried it is just another cheap helmet on the market ...don't ...it is a great deal and you will be surprised how nice it is.

decent helmet for the money
Everything about this helmet works noise level should be worked on. A bit of fumbling to find the lever for built in visor after a time getting used to position, no problem now.

Anthony is dead on about those speaker pockets!
Awesome helmet. Very comparable to the Nolan N44 I replaced due to upgrading bikes. My Nolan was yellow to match my old bike, so with an orange bike I "needed" a new helmet. Quality is on par with the Nolan N44 at half the price!

I love the large face shield of these types of helmets. It really changes the riding experience when switching from a normal full face helmet. LOADS of viewing area and it makes shoulder checks a snap with your peripheral vision opened up.

I dinged it a star because, like Anthony says, the speaker pockets really need to be bigger. A Sena 3S-B's speakers will not fit in the openings of this helmet without taking an exacto knife to the pockets. Not only do the pockets need to have a larger diameter, but they need to be deeper as well.

Modifying the pockets doesn't impact the safety of the helmet, but who wants to cut up their nice new gear to make it work?

Great bang for the buck... LOUD
Great value in this helmet. Field of vision is unrivaled. The lever system for the flipdown internal mini visor is not great, its very clunky and the visor has come unhinged and nearly came off on the highway a few times. That, and the fact that it's pretty loud are the only drawbacks.

Great helmet
This is my goto helmet now, although I have to wear earplugs to deal with the noise as it gets pretty loud. Visibility is awesome with a really wide view. One other thing to note is that the helmet comes with a clear face shield rather than a tinted/black one which is sort of a false advertisement to me, but meh.

All good but the noise
This is a nice helmet but it has some flaws that are a killer.
First it is extremely noisy. We are talking tornado sound even at very low speeds.
Second, air flow. Very good helmet for warm and hot weather but it has an issue with wind coming from the bottom up the visor right in your face. you'll never going to have a fog issue but I needed to put an extra collar to stop the wind in my face.
The conversion to full face is a very nice design but the execution is not well thought. The joints needed to be made of metal. I can feel that the front piece will break soon.

For the money it costs it is a good helmet.

great product
I've owned a lot of helmets in my life. Most of them have been cheap and basic. This is the first time I've spent 200+ on a helmet and I have to say I'm loving it.

Great Value
This helmet is a great value. The features you get for the price is outstanding. The helmet is a little loud, but I've gotten used to it as well as changing how I wear it. I was wearing it with the chin bar a little high so the angle the vents hit were super loud. Wearing it with the chin bar lower (and more correctly) it is quieter. Air flow is okay. Fit is true to size chart and I was able to fit into a medium, even though I've worn a large with other brands. This is nice, as the shell size is smaller and lighter. It doesn't look like I have a basketball on my head. I also really like the looks of this helmet. The large visor is both visually appealing and enhances field of view. I can see almost as much as not wearing a helmet at all. I would definitely recommend this helmet to anyone that is looking for a mid range helmet with a lot of built in value.

Will be purchasing a Harley 48 and the look of this helmet matches it. Half shells look cool but I wanted a little more protection but still get the wind rushing past my lower face.

I like the open face style with the removable chin bar. However I tend to like using my photochromic riding glasses more than integrated sun visors.
A shopper on Apr 16, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes - I wear prescription glasses and have a hard time with other helmets interfering and pushing them off my ears towards the front. The N90 is very comfortable; modular system is great as you don't have to remove glasses to put helmet on/off
Is the visor easily removable for open face riding?
A shopper on Aug 31, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The turning/locking pieces are pretty delicate and would be easy to lose. I've only removed it 3-4 times over the passed 6 months because of this. I just ride with the visor up instead. Overall satisfied for the most part with the helmet for the price. The versatility is nice.
Does it come with the black tinted face shield?
A shopper on Feb 22, 2013
BEST ANSWER: It comes with a clear face shield but smoked/tinted shields are readily available here at Revzilla. With the interior drop down sun visor, you may find that you don't need a tinted shield.
I tried on an XL recently and my chin was hitting the chin bar... Would going to a 2XL change that?
A S on Jun 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Fit the helmet to your head, not your chin. If the size that fits your head doesn't fit your chin, you need a different make/model helmet. If you buy a larger size hoping it will fit your chin, it will be too big on the head and 1) be uncomfortable, 2) be noisier and 3) be unsafe. I had the same problem when I had my SS2200.
I bought the SS2200 spin doctor but I want to get the smoke shield how do I look for it?
A shopper on Apr 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Call the customer help number and ask the friendly staff to help. Piece of cake.
Is the chin bar rated for full face helmet, like the Nolan N43E?
A shopper on Mar 19, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The chin bar isn't the same as a full face/modular chin bar. It's some measure of protection but more for looks and to keep a little air/rain off your chin than anything else.
I am looking to add a Bluetooth system to my SS2200 helmet and am concerned due to the small speaker openings mentioned in the product video. Is there a particular brand or model that I should AVOID with with this helmet? Thank you in advance!
A shopper on Apr 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Bought this helmet along with the Sena Bluetooth for my wife. She loves the fit and function of the helmet but the bluetooth was not an easy install. After some thought and effort we managed to install the main body and mic while retaining all workings of the chin and visor. The speakers however are too large for the cutouts in the liner. The liner is also of hard material, not easy to modify and slightly off centre. We filled the cutouts, attached the speakers, and because they're slim enough, they work ok. She does complain that they touch her ears slightly but not a worry.
How easy is it to install an intercom/CB system on this helmet? My system attaches right about where the latch appears to be on this helmet.
A shopper on Apr 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I had to use the glue on mount included with my system. ..I have Cardo Bluetooth. I simply moved it back so as not to interfere with the helmet operations. Everything else then lined up fine....speakers. ..microphone. ..all of it. Hope this helps!
How many shell sizes does this helmet come in?
A shopper on Jan 25, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The Speed and Strength SS2200 Spin Doctor Helmet is available in two different shell sizes. The shell size break point is Medium | Large.
Can I get a thicker liner?
