Nice helmet, but little noisy This is my first helmet, so I can really compare to anything else. However, it is a nice helmet for the money. I will start with things I do like sun visor is very good it covers the whole field of sight, and it is easy to operate with or without gloves. A chin strap is easy to secure with the gloves on. Pump chick pad system is good, but I do not use it cause helmet is snug as it is (MD). Now, things I do not like so much. Air flow is not as good in temp over 90F. First few times I rode I have noticed that air was getting to the helmet and was causing my eyes to water. First, I thought the fouls air was getting through face shield, but that was not the case. The air was getting through the bottom of the helmet. I made my own chin curtain and it solved the problem. The helmet is somewhat loud, I do use ear plugs so it is not to bad. In slow traffic cracking the face shield helps with airflow in hot temperatures. Overall I like the helmet and I would recommend it to others new rides. November 29, 2013
Fit slightly off for my head My head fits the measurement for the size Small in this helmet, so that's what I bought. It feels the slightest bit loose. I have noticed that the chin will inch its way upward as I ride, so every now and then I have to pull it back down so that my eyes are in the middle of the visor viewport. I am debating on buying an XS head liner to see if that helps keep it in place. The forehead and cheek protection fits pretty good. It's pretty snug on my checks when I use the pump. If I could do this over again, I might try a different shape or brand of helmet. It does get a bit warm inside. I could feel the air coming in the chin vent, but didn't feel much airflow at the top or the back. After an hour of riding on a sunny 75 degree day my head was pretty warm. The graphics are a bit much for me. It seems like most of the S&S items are pretty...out there. I would have preferred a solid color helmet, but I bought this at my local shop and this design is all they had in my size. I will say the matte black looks pretty neat though. Someone else mentioned that the visor needs to go one more click up to really get out of your way, and I have to agree. You can see with it up just fine, but it's one of those small annoyances. However, I generally ride with my visor down, so it doesn't matter much. The ratchet chin strap is very nice. It takes me forever to get those d-rings tied up. The chin strap is a big long, so I had to cut off the excess so it wouldn't flap around. There is a nice amount of padding in the chin strap for comfort. I can't wear my glasses with this helmet. There is just not enough room to comfortably fit the bows in. And then, I'm not confident they would stay where they should as my head bounces around a bit when riding. So, I wear my contacts with it, but the wind really dries out my eyes, so my contacts get uncomfortable kind of quickly (an hour or two). I don't know if any helmet really allows you to wear glasses, but I can say this one doesn't. The breath guard comes out easily if you don't want it in there. The lever to drop down the inner sun visor is very stiff. I really can't pop it down on the go. I have to stop and use both hands (one to hold my helmet for counter-pressure). Popping it back up is easier. My helmet came with a fleece/cotton bag to store it in. It doesn't offer much protection other than keeping the cat hair off of it though. Bottom line: I don't hate this helmet, but I don't love it, either. It's just okay. July 26, 2013
Love this helmet I have an Icon Airframe as my first helmet (3 years) and loved that helmet. Got this helmet and was hoping it would fit as nice, and it did. The fit is excellent and all the features are very neat. The pump up system is cool, not completely necessary. I find that it slowly deflates as I ride, but doesn't take even a second to pump it up a few times whenever.. The sunglasses pop down thing is very cool. It doesn't work as well as a real pair of sunglasses - but its built in and more convenient. Overall its got a lot for not a steep price tag! April 15, 2013
Great Helmet for the price All in all for the price of the helmet you get a lot of bang for your buck. I used this helmet as my entry level helmet for a riding season. The good -Drop down visor system -Field of vision -The fit is nice -Good ventilation -Extremely comfortable liner The Bad -A little loud for my liking but doesn't disturb me March 25, 2013
Great features, yet only two gripes. This is my first helmet I've ever owned yet I'd say for all the features it offers its hard to come by something just as good for the same price. Ratchet chin strap is great... easy on and easy off. Helmet can be removed even with the thickest of gloves on. DVD flip down visor: This thing is great if you forgot your sunglasses. You can slide it right down with the flip of a switch and BAM you have some decent eye protection on. Air pump system: Well I haven't had to use this yet. I purchased a large and it fits snug on my cheeks as is. I guess this would be nice if I purchased an XL (which I assume would be too big for my head) and just pump it up to fit. Visor Removal: This is a pain in the butt. I removed one side just to clean off some bug guts and that was all easy to do. Yet reattaching the visor is a pain. It literally took 10 minutes to do so. (Revzilla did mention this in the review so was to be expected). Ventilation: Well I can't say my head has been sweaty as of yet since winter is just now ending but... Two head vents and one face seems to be a very small amount of ventilation for a helm these days. March 19, 2013
Great Helmet! I bought this helmet a couple of weeks ago from Revzilla. First off, let me say, hats off to Revzilla. Great service and great prices! I will continue to shop here, even if the prices are a little higher than somewhere else (which I haven't yet seen). Second, let me say this helmet is fantastic! It looks very stylish. I bought the gold tineted visor with it and it looks great. The strap is very snug fitting and the pump system just makes me feel even more secure. I haven't yet used the drop down visor but it's a nice feature. The helmet is just extremely comfortable and fits like a glove. I do like Speed and Strength products. Great for my price range. A shopper asked: Will this helmet be suitable for a head that is considered a long oval shape? Apr 14, 2014

Jonathan N: This is a great helmet. I think it would work just fine, however it is a little bit of a tight fit so if that is somehing that would bother you, i suggest getting a little bigger size. The reason being is because it has a pump on the inside that you can pump up the cheek pads to whatever your comfortable fit is. But if you get the helmet at your regular size and its already tight then their would be no point in the pump. So, great helmet, just if you don't prefer a tight fit, order one size up and use the pump to adjust to whatever you want.

P.S. Their is also a release valve so its not like once you pump it up it can never be changed.

chris s: I think that this helmet will fit you no problem, I have a huge knogen and it fits no problem. Even if it is a little lose, (not alot) you can pump it up. Now if it is too loose the lining will eventually loose it's padding and get used to your head. It is a great helmet and has a lot of features that you can't find in any other helmets for the price. Robert C: I have a medium oval head, and I find myself pulling the chin wind guard over my chin and having my chin flush the bottom of the helmet. I love this helmet, but I would recommend trying this one on. Great return policy with Revzilla. So try it out! Apr 15, 2014

Kevin H: I would consider it a medium/long oval shape. It is not as long oval as an Arai Profile. Oval shape helmets fit me best and this is a comfortable helmet to wear. It fits alot like my Icon Variant. Apr 14, 2014
