Good Inexpensive helmet Bought two of these a few years ago, a large and a medium. I wear a 7 1/4 size fitted cap. The large was a little to roomie and the medium was rather tight (maybe I just have a weird head). After wearing the medium enough I did break it in, however I wish it was a little bit looser. The chin strap is great and easy to use and adjust. The inside of the helmet seems to be made of quality material and is comfortable. Also the helmet looks awesome. The air vents are terrible. I don't think the top two do anything, and the chin piece is OK. That is probably my least favorite thing about this helmet. I ride in NC and on hot days the helmet does not keep me cool. The face shield system is OK. It can be annoying to take off the shield because it does occasionally get stuck. I did a low side going about 45mph and I hit the ground face first. I had a mild concussion after the accident but this guy did save my life. It did not crack the frame of the helmet or even the lens, I was impressed. Over all I would say I am happy with this helmet for what I paid (i think around $150) if I had paid the full retail price I might have been more upset. Cheers August 29, 2014
great helmet for the money I LOVE the quick release chin strap. It works great. Only things I could say about this helmet is its slightly loud and the finish is kinda easy to scratch or mark. August 25, 2014
Good for the price Maybe I'm too picky or maybe I was expecting too much, either way my review for this helmet is much more negative than other reviews. Lets start with the pros: It's affordable, meets DOT and ECE standards, good visibility, doesn't feel heavy, has a chin curtain, has a nice comfortable chin strap, has a breath deflector, and the ear cut out prevents the helmet from crushing your ears. The shield is easy to remove/replace but not as easy as some of the other helmets which I've tried, it's a little too clumsy. Not something you want to be messing with while on the go with gloves on. The downside: The product description says that the shield is anti-fog. When I received the helmet I went to ride, and when I put on the helmet I couldn't see at all. At first I thought it was gunk from the sticker that was on the outside of it. I wiped down the outside and tried again. Still blurry. I then realized that there was goo covering the entire shield on the inside. If this is their anti-fog formula it's a fail. Perhaps the shield would never fog up but the goo was so thick that I couldn't see anything at all. After cleaning it (dish soap then a light coat of shaving cream) it still fogs up on humid nights at the red lights, but clears up quick when I crack it open. Also this helmet is loud and starts whistling above 50 mph. Not a big deal since I wear ear plugs but for those of you who don't, this is a loud helmet. As for style it looks like in the photos but is bulkier than I expected. Not a compact helmet. I'm guessing to pass DOT and ECE requirements they had to put in quite a bit of padding. Considering the price I can't complain too much, and I'm guessing I'll be thankful for all that padding when I go down. Lastly and on a smaller note, the cut out at the ear (mentioned above) for an aftermarket com system is good for those who use com systems and is good because it doesn't crush your ear. However the unintended side effect is it ends up touching slightly behind your ear which is very uncomfortable. Luckily once you start driving the vibrations numb it out so you forget about it real quick. August 7, 2014
great helmet for the price I've had about ten helmets and only 1 was better than this one but it cost $650 so it's a great helmet August 4, 2014
Awesome helmet with great features! When I first received the helmet I thought I had picked the wrong size (medium). I was going to return it the next day for a larger size. Glad I didn't. You will have to have break in the helmet - wear it often, even when you're not riding because the padding will be stiff. While breaking it in, you will experience (depending on head shape) pressure in the temple and cheek area. It was tight enough to where I did not need to use the air pump feature. One feature I did use was the DVD drop down tinted visor. At the time I only used this, because I didn't have sunglasses that I could comfortably wear with my helmet. Now, depending on your riding style will depend on if you use the DVD feature. I believe this helmet is meant for street riders who ride hunched over with eyes turned slightly upward. If you ride a crusier and ride sitting up, you will be dissapointed. If your sitting up and looking straight ahead, the DVD comes down just far enough to be a distraction and obscure your vision. However, there is a solution for about $30 more. I recently purchased the tinted (smoked) replacement visor, and I LOVE IT! Highly recommend it. I no longer need the drop down DVD. I recently had PRK (similiar to Lasik) over a month ago, and it's perfect. In regards to looks, the helmet is nice! I gave it 4 stars, but with the added smoked visor I would give it a 5. Oh, the quick release chin strap feature...AWESOME! It's easy use with gloves. August 3, 2014
Beautiful design This helmet is beautifully stylish, but definitely on the noisy side. July 28, 2014
Great Value!! First one I got had a broken vent on the top. I sent it back and Revzilla sent a new one no problem. At first it is snug but the pads do break in. When moving the helmet has enough airflow to keep you cool. the visor is super easy to change when I switch from my smoked to clear visor for night riding. The visor lock is a cool addition. I rode through a tropical storm and I can say with certainty that it does stay fog free. The wind noise is above average but overall is a pretty great helmet for the price. July 27, 2014
Hey Bono! I found what I was looking for. I needed a helmet with better airflow and less noise, this helmet is what I was looking for. The removable nose piece and chain guard are easily removed and stowed for hot day rides. The air flow is refreshingly cool. And the extra shaded visor helps keep temperatures in the helmet down. Unlike my old helmet, I am unwilling to refer to this as a "bucket." July 11, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Krzysztof B: It was my first helmet, so the price was a big factor. I like the helmet, but it is a bit loud, I do use ear plugs, so that helps. I made a chin curtain and that helps with wind drift getting in from under the helmet. I absolutely love a sun visor, it covers the whole view field. Apr 24, 2014
A shopper asked: Will this helmet be suitable for a head that is considered a long oval shape? Apr 14, 2014

Jonathan N: This is a great helmet. I think it would work just fine, however it is a little bit of a tight fit so if that is somehing that would bother you, i suggest getting a little bigger size. The reason being is because it has a pump on the inside that you can pump up the cheek pads to whatever your comfortable fit is. But if you get the helmet at your regular size and its already tight then their would be no point in the pump. So, great helmet, just if you don't prefer a tight fit, order one size up and use the pump to adjust to whatever you want.

P.S. Their is also a release valve so its not like once you pump it up it can never be changed.

chris s: I think that this helmet will fit you no problem, I have a huge knogen and it fits no problem. Even if it is a little lose, (not alot) you can pump it up. Now if it is too loose the lining will eventually loose it's padding and get used to your head. It is a great helmet and has a lot of features that you can't find in any other helmets for the price. Krzysztof B: Hi, just mesured my head from chin to to top of my head 10", from ear to ear 6 3/4". My head is oval but I don't know if it is considered as a long oval. The helmet fits me just fine. I did make and installed a chin guard to stop wind getting into the helmet. I also wear ear plugs to keep a noice down. I hope this helps, ride safe. Apr 16, 2014

Robert C: I have a medium oval head, and I find myself pulling the chin wind guard over my chin and having my chin flush the bottom of the helmet. I love this helmet, but I would recommend trying this one on. Great return policy with Revzilla. So try it out! Apr 15, 2014

Kevin H: I would consider it a medium/long oval shape. It is not as long oval as an Arai Profile. Oval shape helmets fit me best and this is a comfortable helmet to wear. It fits alot like my Icon Variant. Apr 14, 2014

Javier G asked: I wear glasses - do anyone know if I can use the sun glass visor while wearing glasses? May 18, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Krzysztof B: Hi, I don't wear glasses, but I put my Ray-ban sunglasses and I was able to lower the sun visor. Depends how big your glasses are, you should be able to do it. I have a M size helmet and it was hard to put the sunglasses on, my helmet is tight.
Ride safe.

Richard G: Not really, that sun visor inside is very close to your face. Not uncomfortably close, but close enough where glasses don't work. That's why I wear contacts May 18, 2014

Kevin H: I have absolutely no issue at all wearing glasses and using the drop down visor. May 19, 2014
