Bang for the Buck I'd recommend it to those looking for a good summer jacket without breaking the bank (but From the feel of this jacket it is a Fall, Winter, and early Spring jacket) ,It's not too hot that you have to take it off indoors, or too cold that you'd need a different coat in the morning on the ride in to work. It has great armor in the back and elbows plus I think it looks better with the hood attached great street wear. February 24, 2015
Excellent summer riding jacket It's a great jacket for the summer for sure. If you had a good base layer its be decent for spring and fall as well. It has great armor in the back and elbows but seems a little thin for the shoulders. None the less the money also goes to a good cause so its a great way to help a worthwhile cause. I'd recommend it to those looking for a good summer jacket without breaking the bank. I got mine in Olive which looks awesome with my Dogs of War helmet (red/white/blue). February 14, 2015
Awesome Awesome jacket for the price. The olive green is greener than in the picture but it looks good. Like marine corps green. I like the proceeds going to help dogs that come black from combat because those pups get PTSD just like everyone else and need the help. The armor is solid. I'm 5' 11" and about 160lbs and the jacket fits me nicely (medium) February 9, 2015
Great style and comfort First off, if you like this style of jacket that's a bit different, you will love this one. It's simply a great look, no doubt about it. I've gotten many people come up and comment on the jacket, including both from the military riding crowd, the cafe racer types, and many non-riders. Comfort makes me think of that great jean jacket we all had back in the 80's that you wore everywhere all the time. It's not too hot that you have to take it off indoors, or too cold that you'd need a different coat in the morning on the ride in to work. I wouldn't mind a bit more ventilation, but I've wore this on normal hot Colorado days without a problem. I'm not quite sure why there's a hood on it, but it's removable so I don't worry about it. Dont Be Fooled! My wife ordered this jacket for me for my birthday today! It was ordered last week and with the exception of Sunday, it was here in 3 Days. Fast! This is my 3rd product from Revzilla and it is my go to site for all my needs. I know you've watched the review video but let me touch on it a little more. The "Vault" Armor is durable and feels thick. CE Rated! I am 6'3.5", 230, above average length arms, and I have an athletic build. XL fit perfectly. The jackets is soft but firm. The only down side is the armor on the arms. The placement feels a little off but I do believe that it will be where it is needed in an accident. I think it looks better with the hood attached. From the feel of this jacket it is Fall, Winter, and Spring jacket. I am in Georgia so this jacket is great until late Spring. Have not worn it riding but when I do i will update. I own other Speed and Strength gear and it is my gear of choice...I am going to buy the pants next. Thanks for reading. January 5, 2015
Perfect for my son for summer riding My son loves his new summer jacket for riding and for street wear off the bike. It arrived in Oz very quickly too. Thanks Revzilla. Good customer service too. December 29, 2014
This product is worth every cent. This jacket is not only stylish, it's very comfortable. It breathes well, fits well, and has all the protection necessary. I personally laid my bike down weeks ago and I walked away scratch free because of this jacket. I would never get on the bike without it. September 15, 2014
Great jacket! I'm 5'9 and have a fairly large build at 190 lbs. The jacket fits very smooth and looks great. There is protection on the elbows and on the back of the jacket that are removable. Overall, I would say this jacket is well worth purchasing if you're looking for something that will offer protection and look good at the same time. July 7, 2014

William Y: I wanted a non-waterproof textile jacket I could sew my Ural patches on. The price and free shipping to Alaska are big selllers, too. Aug 7, 2014
Brian B: I wanted a jacket i could wear on and off the bike, that was suited to the Australian climate and provided some protection. Jun 21, 2014
A shopper asked: How is the abrasion resistance for this jacket being a cotton fabric? The armor is great and all, but what about the material? Jun 26, 2014

Matthew R: While wearing the jacket, I took a spill coming around a corner at 25-30 mph and it is perfectly fine, aside from some scrapes and grass stains. The patch on the shoulder was ripped off, but that was the worst of it. Padding absorbed most of the shoulder impact. I only wish I would have threaded the belt loops to ensure that it didn't ride up at all. By lower back received minor scrapes. Dec 17, 2014

A shopper asked: How is this for a summer riding jacket? May 15, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (0)
Justin M: I will preface this with I am generally a very warm bodied individual and I am in Utah. Personally I view the jacket as a spring and fall jacket. It does breathe fairly well so depending on how hot it gets it wont kill you to wear in the summer. The decision to do so should be based on how hot it gets where you are and how well you can handle the heat. If you feel you need to riglde with a jacket in the summer, there are probably better options. However this would probably work as well. May 15, 2014

A shopper asked: It seems the Jacket has a great Air Flow, is it classified as a Summer Jacket? I am looking for a Jacket to Ride in very warm weather would that be a good pick? Oct 7, 2014

Sean H: Yes, this is definitely a summer jacket. Airflow is great! During winter, I'd recommend a thick shirt under neath it though. During the Louisiana summers, I don't even break a sweat with this jacket though. It's fantastic. Oct 8, 2014

Garett F asked: I bought the Speed and Strength Stars and Stripes jacket and it fits good in the arms but is a little short in the body. This jacket seems to look a little longer in the body, I was just wondering if this jacket fits the same? Also does anyone know if the Speed and Strength Off the Chain 2.0 fits the same as well? They all look fairly similar. Feb 13, 2015

Eli H: I have the Dogs of War jacket and first and foremost I love it. But I must say it also seems to fit me a little short. I am 6'1'' about 240 (more muscle than fat, I swear haha) and I ordered an XL. When it came, the collar tag actually said XXL and I was upset until I tried it on. Glad it was XXL. The body fits very well in terms of snug-ness, and the sleeves are perfect, but it IS a little bit short on the torso. Mostly in front, and it's not a deal-breaker, but based on what you are saying about the other jacket, I think this might be the way that Speed and Strength jackets are. Good luck! Feb 13, 2015

Garett F: Thanks man. So short torso aside, you would still recommend this jacket? Feb 14, 2015
Chris C: Garrett,

I don't know how tall you are but I'm 6'4 and I'm not sure if that's just the fit of speed and strength jackets. I purchased the dogs of war jacket in a large last fall and the length of the arms and the width if the chest were perfect but the jacket was a little short for me. For an average height person (around 6'1 ) the jacket would fall comfortably below the belt line but if your my height if falls about halfway on the belt which isn't bad but it could be a little longer

A shopper asked: Does this jacket have any inside pockets? Dec 17, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Neil W: No interior pockets. I used the back protector insert area to bring home some mail (once), but the only real pockets are the 2 in the front of the jacket. Hope this helps.

Rubber side down, ride safe.

Matthew R: The jacket does not have any inside pockets. The inside is a breathable mesh material with pouches for the internal CE padding secured with velcro. Dec 17, 2014
