Dont Be Fooled!
My wife ordered this jacket for me for my birthday today! It was ordered last week and with the exception of Sunday, it was here in 3 Days. Fast! This is my 3rd product from Revzilla and it is my go to site for all my needs. I know you've watched the review video but let me touch on it a little more. The "Vault" Armor is durable and feels thick. CE Rated! I am 6'3.5", 230, above average length arms, and I have an athletic build. XL fit perfectly. The jackets is soft but firm. The only down side is the armor on the arms. The placement feels a little off but I do believe that it will be where it is needed in an accident. I think it looks better with the hood attached. From the feel of this jacket it is Fall, Winter, and Spring jacket. I am in Georgia so this jacket is great until late Spring. Have not worn it riding but when I do i will update. I own other Speed and Strength gear and it is my gear of choice...I am going to buy the pants next. Thanks for reading.

Green not Khaki
The Jacket does fit large. It's a relaxed fit, but I knew that from the reviews and a Medium on a 180 lbs frame at 5'11" fits perfectly. The only issue is that the green jacket on the website does not even closely resemble then color of the actual jacket. The green is actually a deep bright forest green rather than a rugged khaki green.

It was put to the test in a slide at 30mph ambulance showed on the scene, and said what the heck is this jacket made of! The plates and materials are durable and flexible hard foam. Good in a bounce or low speed slides. Was wearing sneakers instead of boots, and got a broken ankle like a squid. Any slide over 30 the jacket might need to be replaced. The jacket survived I told them not to cut it off during the ambulance ride. And so my jacket can easily be used again

Last, the jacket is pretty hot. Not alot of airflow especially if wearing a messenger bag or back pack. A few vents would've been a good addition. But the sweat dries nicely on a hanger, because the lining is mesh so it won't get rank, and if it does you can hand wash it. Lot of green in the wash water.

Not good for a long ride because of the heat even in moderate heat or sun. Below 70 or riding at night this jacket is perfect! For the money it's hard to get anything better looking with better protection.

Looks great, breathes great
Bought this jacket a couple of months ago. fits like a glove. extremely comfortable. breathes amazingly when I ride in this California heat. only gave 4 stars to durability and protection because I felt the armor was a little on the "meh". not terrible but should have something stronger. also one of the zippers is starting to lose its stitching at the top. at least I'm pretty sure that I didn't receive it like that. still amazing jacket and looks badass. I bought the green version and personally think it looks way better than the black.

Can't beat style and quality
I'm shocked by how little they are selling this jacket for. They could easily get over $200. I bought the Large and I am 6'3" 200 lbs with a 34" waist and about 43-44" chest. It was pretty snug, especially in the arms. I'm going to return it and buy the XL and hope that it fits....

Size chart not accurate
Jacket looks and feels great, too bad the size chart wasn't accurate i measured my chest 3 times just to make sure it wasn't just my mistake. It says that a 3x is chest size is 54-56 in and im 54 1/2 in. and it isn't even close to being able to be zipped. Wish there was one size more cause I love this Jacket.

good jacket for moderate weather around town.
excellent jacket for wearing around town. not airtight enough for really cool temps but not a mesh jacket either. cotton construction feels comfortable if not as sturdy as other textile jackets. i really like the jacket given those limitations and i'm wearing it often. though i probably wouldn't take it along for a long trip. elbow and shoulder pads sit at the right place. back pad a little clunky but not enough to bother me. I live in coastal san diego and this jacket is great for cool-ish marine-layer summer mornings and evenings. gets a little hot during the day. fit is as described. i'm 6'2" 190 and i bought an extra large. fits great across the shoulders and is a bit loose at waist--but i'm an outlier here probably. (small waist size relative to shoulders)

best thing: protection without looking like i'm trying to be a racer. i wish there were more gear in neutral colors and low-key designs.

Great Value
i`m 6 ft and 185 pounds Medium size was a perfect fit.
Padding is where it is suppose to be. You can wear it as a regular jacket nobody will tell you are biker which is nice. You ll look like a war veteran though. I like the rugged look so for me is fine.zippers seem good and sturdy. I got the olive which is a bit darker than the one in the picture.
overall is a fine product.

Although I dont care much for the shoulder pads, I do like the extra padding on the elbows and the tapered sleeves. The jacket fits like a glove.
The price is just right.

Needed a good summer jacket and it fits great, not too heavy, look stylish, and was a good price point and I love that some of the proceeds go to the Warrior Dog Foundation
Josh S on May 27, 2015
this is a great three season jacket but in early spring a fall a light sweatshirt fits just right underneath, and as for protection this thing is great for a every day commuter it has all the right guards in the right place that done shift around when/if you go down. and when your not riding it doesn't stick out like other jackets I have seen people wear. when you want protection and warmth with out all the attention when your not riding this is the jacket for you

How is the abrasion resistance for this jacket being a cotton fabric? The armor is great and all, but what about the material?
A shopper on Jun 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: While wearing the jacket, I took a spill coming around a corner at 25-30 mph and it is perfectly fine, aside from some scrapes and grass stains. The patch on the shoulder was ripped off, but that was the worst of it. Padding absorbed most of the shoulder impact. I only wish I would have threaded the belt loops to ensure that it didn't ride up at all. By lower back received minor scrapes.
It seems the Jacket has a great Air Flow, is it classified as a Summer Jacket? I am looking for a Jacket to Ride in very warm weather would that be a good pick?
A shopper on Oct 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this is definitely a summer jacket. Airflow is great! During winter, I'd recommend a thick shirt under neath it though. During the Louisiana summers, I don't even break a sweat with this jacket though. It's fantastic.
Doest the C.E. Approved armor contain latex at all?
A C on Jan 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: In my jacket the armor was foam based so I don't think so. If its an allergy issue I will say that the armor is very well contained and not next to the skin directly, but I would check with the manufacturer to be on the safe side.
I bought the Speed and Strength Stars and Stripes jacket and it fits good in the arms but is a little short in the body. This jacket seems to look a little longer in the body, I was just wondering if this jacket fits the same? Also does anyone know if the Speed and Strength Off the Chain 2.0 fits the same as well? They all look fairly similar.
Garett F on Feb 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Garrett,

I don't know how tall you are but I'm 6'4 and I'm not sure if that's just the fit of speed and strength jackets. I purchased the dogs of war jacket in a large last fall and the length of the arms and the width if the chest were perfect but the jacket was a little short for me. For an average height person (around 6'1 ) the jacket would fall comfortably below the belt line but if your my height if falls about halfway on the belt which isn't bad but it could be a little longer
How is this for a summer riding jacket?
A shopper on May 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I will preface this with I am generally a very warm bodied individual and I am in Utah. Personally I view the jacket as a spring and fall jacket. It does breathe fairly well so depending on how hot it gets it wont kill you to wear in the summer. The decision to do so should be based on how hot it gets where you are and how well you can handle the heat. If you feel you need to riglde with a jacket in the summer, there are probably better options. However this would probably work as well.
im 6 foot 2 175 which size should I get?
A shopper on Apr 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm 6'4 190 and the large is just a tiny bit short, but the width is good so if I were you I'd go with that. If you want something that's gonna be tight maybe a medium but the large is perfect for having a hoodie underneath for me.
I wear a 3 XL Tourmaster transistions 3 motorcycle jacket, but for a normal jacket I wear a 2 XL. As this has no liner and is more like a regular jacket, what size would you recommend?
Jerry
A shopper on May 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I decided to go up 1 size from my normal everyday jacket size and it fits great. I was right on the upper end of the size limits for my normal jacket size based on their measurements. I would recommend going up the size. This jacket is much more comfortable with a little wiggle room. Spray it down with a good waterproofing spray if you plan to hit any rain on the way! I really like the look and feel. The padding is comfortable too.
Hey guys,

I'm checking out the Dogs of War textile jacket by Speed and Strength. I'm really digging all the positive reviews and the cause supported. I just have one question, style is a key factor in any common rider's gear selection so I just want to know, is the olive color like an army olive green or is it more on the brown side like the picture shows?
A shopper on Jun 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Its more on the olive green side with a hint of brown in it, cool jacket, i like mine ????
Does this jacket have any inside pockets?
A shopper on Dec 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No interior pockets. I used the back protector insert area to bring home some mail (once), but the only real pockets are the 2 in the front of the jacket. Hope this helps.

Rubber side down, ride safe.
I'm 5' 8" ,155lbs with an athletic build. I usually like fitted type jackets. Would a small or medium fit me better?
Max K on Nov 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: i'm 5'9 165lbs athletic too. The small is still a bit big on me. Definitely not fitted, but a cool jacket.
