Sidi is and always delivers on its products
I am a serious bicycle rider and own several pairs of cycling shoes, they are beyond the best and have tremendous longevity. After returning to motorcycle riding I decided to try these Sidi Astro Boots for the warmer Florida climate. What a quality product. Great design and great looks. you will not be disappointed. Additionally I would like to write something about RevZilla as below:
This company is a cut above all the other motorcycle related companies I have dealt with.
Their informative videos are invaluable for the products they carry. The companies customer service and expedient shipping is the best I have experienced and I do a lot of online shopping. Additionally the way the products are packaged clearly says to the customer, We care. The Sidi shoes I recently received were packaged with tender loving care. This company RevZilla has EARNED my business. Thanks for caring and I will tell all my riding friends the same.

Very satisfied with this purchase
Received the next day, thank you RevZilla!

I wear a US size 11, European 45. The fit is spot on for me and break-in is about there after wearing them 6 times (15 hours riding, 2 hours walking). The fit will be snug if your foot is a bit on the wide side. The boots are lightweight, comfortable, and on/off is a snap. The closure system works well but I cannot comment its reliability yet. I really like that there are no strings to get caught in the controls. The Velcro strap is functional too. Ventilation is adequate. The sole works well walking in dry/wet conditions and provides adequate support for some standing on the foot pegs. The shift pad is correctly located for me.

Bang for the buck cannot get 5/5 in my opinion because $215 is expensive.

Protection & Durability would have been scored differently had the two categories been separate. The protection is as advertised so it should be rated as such (5/5 IMHO). You get the protection you bought… I cannot rate durability yet because I have not tested them long enough. We’ll see how they are holding up at the end of the season with 12k+ miles on em.

The Style would've gotten a better rating but everyone in my family said the boots are ugly. I disagree. This is a purpose-built shoe/boot with technical features that influence the look. Sidi did a reasonable job with esthetics.

Side note: I also have a pair of Sidi Adventure GT boots. Both Sidi products were accurately reviewed by RevZilla. I am a Sidi fan and it is my opinion you can’t go wrong with RevZilla.

This boot is very comfortable, and is OK to walk around in. I love the lace system, works very efficiently. It also offers good sensitivity on the controls.
Just what I was looking for.

Finally found my boot!
Wearing a size 14 makes it extra difficult to find nice motorcycle boots. In addition, I wanted something that I could wear all day even when not riding. Although these boots show that they only come in size 48 (13-13.5 US), the wonderful Rep at Revzilla told me they do run a little large but also slightly narrow. So I took a chance and ordered them.
Well, i could not be more pleased with the fit, style and quality. And an added bonus is that these boots are completely Vegan, so I can feel good about making a sound ethical purchase as well.

Great everyday riding shoe
I have big, wide feet, so finding shoes/boots that fit and had the style I'm looking for can be a challenge... I have consistently found Sidi to be about the only brand that works reliably for me!

I was looking for an everyday riding shoe with reasonable technical features, but comfortable and stylish enough to wear around all day in a semi casual office environment, or on the weekend with jeans, and are easy to get in and out of.

So far, the Nitro has ticked every box! They have only taken a couple of days to get comfy, and while they're a touch on the narrow side, the Techno 3 system makes it super easy to let out a little slack. My other Sidi boots have been super comfy once they're worn in, and these feel like they'll do the same.

They are easy to walk around in, and fine for all day wear, and while they are obviously a riding shoe, they certainly don't look too out of place in the office, and are not too bulky under regular trousers or jeans.

On the bike, they feel just right. The shift pad is perfectly placed, and the sole feels just firm enough. The venting looks minimal, but I was surprised how much cool air I could feel when it was a little brisk in the morning, so I suspect these are going to be more suited to the warmer months , and may not be so suited to the cooler months.

All in all, I'm very happy with my choice.

Regarding the shipping process, I ordered them on the Saturday, and they arrived on Tuesday, even though the website said it would take 3-4 days before they'd ship, so I'm super happy with the Revzilla service!

These shoes are nice! They fit me perfect. I little still at top and will require some breaking in, but better than I expected. These shoes will be great for roaming around town on my Ducati Diavel.

Good investment. Great quality.
Ordered normal shoe size and fit perfectly. Great looking and very comfortable. Like the way you can tighten on foot for that perfect fit. Great walking shoe. Everything as advertised with great quality. Worth every penny. Pleased with my purchase from Revzilla.

Took a chance and it paid off.
I state that the fit is slightly small only because I wear a size 9. I have cycling shoes from Sidi and I've always worn 42.5. That doesn't seem to be offered in this shoe, however, the 43 (9.5) fits me perfectly. I also have a slightly narrow foot and that's why I said it fits a bit narrow. Again, it fit's me perfectly.
These won't win any fashion awards, but they do look good and serve their purpose. The difference in feel on the bike is worth every penny over riding with casual boots. Brake pedal and shifter feel is so controlled with these boots, and grip is great when putting your feet down at a stop. I'd buy these all over again. Oh, and the ratchet mechanism "laces" are super quick, easy, and secure.

Absolutely no disappointments.
I ride everyday rain or shine, I also work in these boots. I usually go through a set of boots in about 30 days. My Sidi Astro's have been an absolute pleasure. They are still very good looking after 3 months and 8500 miles of all weather riding. Great work to the people of Sidi. You never disappoint.

One satisfied costumer!

good compromise boot for summer
I have the Sidi gortex Adv boots... but I was looking for something to commute with in hot weather. I wanted light weight, something I could walk in... maybe some breath-ability. This boot/shoe does the job.

I like the tecno 3 laces... pretty cool. Fit is good. I take a US 11 and a 45 fits fine. Comfort wise there is very little padding in these. You can walk in them but I wouldn't want to hike miles. They tend to rub my ankles a bit up high. On the bike they have great feel... easy to shift/brake. Very nice.

Overall this is a good compromise between protection and comfort. I think if a had a fall in these they would hold up well and while not a pair of sneakers... you can walk around (no squeaking) and not look out of place. I normally rock these with a pair of draggin jeans and a mesh jacket...

The SIDI size chart indicates EURO 44 for US Men’s 9.5 to 10 and 45 for US 10.5-11.
My size is US 10.5. Should I order EURO 44 or 45?
Thanks.
A shopper on Apr 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I would go with the Euro 45s. I have 10-1/2 to 11 size feet, and the 45's are about right for me; a little snug in the toe box, but nothing that stops a full day's ride. Of equal importance—to me at least—is that the ankle shaft is large enough that they're not too hard to get off at the end of a long day's ride.
How is the toe compartment protection / reinforecement on the Astro compared to Joe Rocket Velocity (not V2X)? The Astro looks very comfortable to wear and manouver, and both seem to have nice stiff heel protection areas, but I can't figure it out as far as a decent toe area toughness.
A shopper on Nov 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Toe box area is no more protective then other motorcycle street shoes/boots - however, the bottom front sole reaches up and somewhat protects the bottom edges of the toe box area by virtue of the molding of the sole area.. I can feel l the shifter - these boots are not steel toe type of boots. One big advantage of this boot is the ratcheting tie downs (replaces the function of laces) allows for a truly custom fit based on how snug you ratchet down the little thumb ratchets - this is the main reason I got the SIDI ankle boots and these SIDI boots are still my go-to pair of street bike-boots on my motorcycle 4 pair boot shelf. The ankle height boots can be worn to work/school without anyone knowing you took the bike.

I Also purchased the medium weight "shin" height SIDI boots with the same ratcheting lace up system- these shin height boots are more for trail riding. The toe box on this trail/road higher boot is more robust and protective. SIDI also makes a full out MX Frankenstein boot that goes up to your knee using the same ratcheting lace system - if you showed up at work with the full on MX boot - well someone will call security I think (LOL)
