Shark Vision-R High Visibility Helmet
Internal Visor, good fit
The view port is large, the visor works great. Air flow is decent but not the best, i think this may be caused by the visor.
Had to be creative with chin mount camera, and it is a little tight to get on, but overall, if I had to, I would buy again.
Great Sharp rating for features and price!

I went with this helmet thanks to the video and decent reviews. I love the drop down visor, it is probably my favorite feature. The seal on the face shield is great and is more quiet that any other helmet I have had. I like the styling - as a female I am not into pink helmets and this one is gender neutral. As other reviews have stated, the most annoying part of the helmet is the chin strap mechanism, but it is not a deal breaker. It has been a little more difficult to break in- it always makes my scalp hurt across the top of my head. It is getting better though. This helmet is a little pricey, but it feels good when riding and there is no movement when turning your head at higher speeds. I would but it again.

I don't understand why Shark does not produce 2XL helmets anymore. I have several but can't be a customer anymore.
Very interesting decision.
Shark, you should revisit this as many customers are now orphans. They can't buy your products.

Well designed, great independent safety ratings, great price
I am extremely happy with this helmet. I began my search in the premium brands when I discovered exceptional independent safety ratings on this helmet at almost half the price. I purchased with the thought I could return it if I didn't like it but I'm definitely keeping this one. Resists fogging exceptionally well and I'm really happy to be rid of the pesky second inside lens I was using on my other helmets. The Vision-R is quiet and comfortable with outstanding lateral and vertical vision. Love the internal sun visor as it eliminates the need to carry a separate face shield around (and the need to stop at sunset to switch screens). Visibility is awesome during the day and the white parts glow at night. The liner is removable for cleaning. Great airflow... especially with the face shield in the defog setting. i If I were to give any criticism it would be the sun visor could be a little darker.

Sunvisor is great. Very easy to use even with heavy winter gloves on.
The helmet is a bit louder than I anticipated. Ear plugs are recommended when riding at higher speeds. Your peripheral vision is vastly improved over any other full face helmet on the market. Makes lane changing so much safer. I am an all weather all year round biker and I find it hard to get the visor (no pinlock) to fog up on me. Airflow through the helmet is brilliant. The sun visor is very easy to use and a great feature. it is dark enough for me. Would I buy this helmet again? Absolutely yes.

Arai user for 15+ years
I really love the Arais. I have several Quantums and an RX-Q. However, for my Suzuki GSX-R750 I found the Arai just did not have expansive vision I needed. I got this Sharlk to solve that problem and it did, perfectly. Plus, it is as quiet (maybe even more quiet) than my Arais and has plenty of glasses clearance and a drop down inner shade. While I still may use Arais on my other bikes, this is my "hands down" sportbike helmet. Great helmet !

A lot louder than Series 1
I recently suffered a face first accident in a Shark Vision R series 1 GT Carbon. It most definitely kept me pretty and did an excellent job of protecting me. I was so impressed, I straight away ordered a new Series 2.
Unfortunately the Series 2 has not impressed me nearly as much. The padding is lower spec than the previous model but fortunately uses the same mounting points so swapping was easy. The real killer is the wind noise. The series 1 ventilation could of been better, and the top vents were difficult to open with a gloved hand, but the fix for this in the series 2 seems to be a bit brute force. It definitely has more airflow, but I can't hear myself think, and I can no longer use my Scala Rider G9 with the new model as I can't hear anyone on the phone and can only barely hear music. The new square tabs to open the top vents are definitely easier to use with a gloved hand, but create so much more turbulence I wish they hadn't changed them.
I don't recommend this helmet.
