Shark’s masterpiece continues on its evolution. Never has a helmet given you such options between street/road riding, open or full face.
Improvements to the Series 3 include:
- Easier manipulation of the chinbar thanks to the Auto-Up system. The unique motion of the Evoline remains unchanged and has become even more natural with the Series3.
- The Auto-Up system has been simplified - chinbar and main shield are now united in a single movement.
- Fabrics, finish and style. The interior of the Evoline Series 3 has been totally redesigned and is softer, better and more comfortable.
- Brand new ventilation design fore and aft.
- Overall lower weight has been decreased by approximately 200 grams.

Great helmet. Needs more ventilation.
I really like this helmet.
It looks awesome, the internal sun visor is great, but could be darker.
The downside is ventilation. I haven't worn it above 90 yet, but I'm going to guess it'll roast my noggin. I do wish it had more vents.
Its still a little tight. I haven't gotten it broke in. Anything longer than an hour makes my forehead feel like I have a sunburn. However, great helmet and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Good product. Exactly as expected.
Great helmet. No pressure points yet - although it starts to tilt up ever so slightly at higher speeds (if you don't have a windshield) like me.
I knew it was going to be a large helmet, but it works great as 3/4 and full face.
I only wish the small bottle of oil it comes with (for the visor) would not have opened up in the box staining the protective storage bag.

Real nice helmet. It looks great and mechanically everything is smooth.
I love the ability to flip the full face guard back when in town to get more airflow and when I hit the highway I go to a full face.
Its a great helmet, comfortable, quiet and flexible.

Nice helmet
Looks and feels high quality. Flip feature works well; removable eyeglass pads are a plus for me. Some of the interior pads are held in place via Velcro that is glued to the helmet interior- two of the Velcro strips in my helmet had fallen off when I took it out of the box. I'll just glue them back on.
Because of the sun visor feature, I think, the helmet sits very tall on the top of the head, and frankly looks a bit silly when worn in the 3/4 position. That's the same for all of these types of helmets, though.
Only real negative is that most of us who prefer matte black like the color because of its subtlety. Shark kind of ruins that with its bright white logos on the forehead and back of the helmet.
All in all, it looks like I'll be happy with this helmet.

No air flow, nice flip feature.
I can't understand the high ratings in airflow unless they are measuring it with the chinbar flipped up, which is meaningless. All the tiny top vent does is rattle when opened and I feel no decernable airflow from the chin vent. There is some airflow from below chin opening, but all helmets have that.
Chinbar flip does work well. Sun visor feature is easy to deploy, but doesn't come low enough for comfort. It's not at all like wearing sunglasses which I still prefer.
I recommend it solely based on the fact that it can be ridden with chinbar in up position.

Like it a lot!
Great features, a little noisy, but quieter than my half helmet. The internal visor is awesome, and being able to open the helmet up is a great feature. Also works well with com devices!

The Nolan N103 had a fairly round interior fit. The new, Nolan N104 now actually has a more elongated interior. They increased the space in the front and back, around the crown of your head, while making it a bit more narrow on the sides.It may still work for you, but if you are worried, you could also take a look at the LaZer Monaco Helmet. The LaZer has a round interior, more similar to the N103.

As far as the Shark Evoline 3 ST:Medium = 1855 g
Large = 1905g
XL = 1875g
The original C3:
Medium = 1655g
Large = 1595g
XL = 1785g
At this time, the only C3 Pro which we were able to weigh was a size Medium that was equipped with the SRC system. It weighed 1754g.
The reasons for the variations between sizes are due to the differences between shell size, EPS liner size, and padding size.

Don't know about the Q2 but G4 I think is similar in size and I got it to fit but I had to tear apart the sides a bit to do so. In short, it wasn't made to fit it easily but you can make it happen with a little persistence.8 months ago

I, too, have a big cranium. The XL works for me, but I definitely notice some hotspots on longer rides. I've seen videos where there's a foam pad under the liner you can remove for a bit more comfort, so I'm looking into that. I'm commuter though, and XL definitely works fine for me.Age: 35-44

You should be okay with XL. This helmet is slightly on the larger side anyway when compared to some other brands (from reviews I've read). Also, the pads wear in a bit over time. I had a large Shoei and the Medium Shark Evo fit me perfectly.8 months ago
