Shark Evoline 3 ST Helmet - Solids

The Shark Evoline 3 ST is a modular helmet that truly and safely transforms from a full face to an open face helmet in one easy upward motion. We have all seen people with modular helmets cruising around with the chin bar in the upright position. It is a natural desire to want more airflow on a hot summer day. Virtually every other modular helmet on the market is not engineered to absorb an impact with the chin bar in the open position however the Evoline 3 ST accomplishes just that. Evoline 3 ST owners can enjoy the comforts of an open face helmet around town then drop the chin bar for added protection before entering a highway. In addition to the inherent versatility, the Evoline 3 ST is packed with creature comforts like a CoolMax liner and a drop down internal sun shield.

Great for long distance riding, inner city commuting and anything in between, the Shark Evoline 3 ST offers riders an unrivaled level of comfort, protection and freedom.

Improvements to the Series 3 include:

  • Easier manipulation of the chinbar thanks to the Auto-Up system. The unique motion of the Evoline remains unchanged and has become even more natural with the Series 3
  • The Auto-Up system has been simplified - chinbar and main shield are now united in a single movement.
  • Fabrics, finish and style. The interior of the Evoline Series 3 has been totally redesigned and is softer, better and more comfortable.
  • Brand new ventilation design fore and aft.
  • Overall lower weight has been decreased by approximately 200 grams.

Features:

  • Lexan Polycarbonate shell
  • Shark Easy Fit system for comfortable use with glasses
  • Sharktooth ready
  • Integrated drop down sun shield
  • Removable and washable CoolMax liner
  • DOT approved

Shark Evoline 3 ST Helmet - Solid Colors 4.3 5 357 357
Nothing else like it Bought the helmet and just rode 1400 miles on a west Texas trip that I do regularly. All the features worked perfectly and I really appreciated being able to convert the helmet back and forth to full face based on wind and temperature. Didn't get rained on so don't know yet if it leaks. The fit is not large for size as the video suggests. I wear a large in HJC/Harley and the large Shark is a little snug compared. Probably the shape is different. The helmet is heavier than others I have owned, but it didn't bother me. Being able to set the shield and visor in any position is great. The chin mechanism worked perfectly. It rode very well in the wind. Very pleased. May 28, 2016
Great helmet- Poor fitting This is no way a glasses friendly helmet and it pushes on my cheeks so hard it gave me a headache. These run small not large. I wear a large to XL with most helmets but an XL was way too small for me. Love the concept and after watching the video I had high hopes this was better than my last Shark. It was better in the forehead but that's it. Sold it to a buddy for $300.00 instead of going through the return hassle. I'm back on the hunt for one that works for me. May 24, 2016
This is my new everyday helmet. I just recently got this helmet, and I've already put in about 500+ miles on it. Putting it on is a chore, as the opening is tight. I have a 19.5 neck which steadies my large head, I purchased the XL and it fits snug but comfortable. It is a chore to put on, and if you wear glasses, take them off before putting on or taking off the helmet. I did my research and checked all the reviews so I didn't have any misgivings about it, and I can say that it is lighter than some of the other's I've owned. The noise is negligible with the chin piece up or down as the face shield comes down to such an angle right at my chin that it directs most of the wind noise away. Haven't worn it on really scorching hot day's yet, but I don't see it being horrible, in fact, with the way this helmet is made, if you get hot, you can treat it like a good beer and pop it open. I'm very happy with this helmet. June 8, 2016
Decent helmet for the money. Using the size chart and ordering a large I had to return it to get an XL for a fit that didn't crush my face. I put the helmet on for the first time and moved the slider for the sun shied. A black piece of plastic broke off and the shield no long would move with the slide on top of the helmet. Given the length of time it took to get the helmet in the first place, 8 days, I don't have the time to return it and get another. Although its inconvenient to raise the main shied and grab the sun shield by the bottom to raise and lower it I'll just have to live with it. June 7, 2016
very satisfied I always used open face helmets during my 30 years riding experience. The shark well integrated design is the only reason that convinced me to buy a convertible helmet. I can now use that helmet in open face configuration without the impression of having an open hood on top of my head and enjoy the full-face configuration when needed. The only inconvenient I had in my buying experience is the fact that I am ordering from Canada and Revzilla did not give me the option to chose which delivery service to use. UPS was used and it is, by far the worst. I would have appreciated the possibility to use USPS. June 7, 2016
Good features but lousy fit I bought this helmet for its features such as the great hybrid convertible full face protection and clean storage of the chin protector when not in use, the eyeglass stem accommodation because I have to wear eyeglasses, and finally, I wanted to accommodate a Sena radio system. I knew I could return the helmet to RevZilla, and I was told that good helmets took some "breaking in". Now that I've had a chance to break it in, I've found several things that disappointed me. 1. Locking and unlocking the chin protector are a problem. I think the width of my face is causing the lock to not engage when I put the chin protector down. If I fool with it I can get it to work but it is never simple or easy. Once locked, it will not unlock unless I fiddle with it for a while. again, it is not simple or easy. 2. The "eyeglass accommodation" does not work for me. Again, maybe I just have a fat head. In any case, I can't put the helmet over my head with my eyeglasses on. I have to put the helmet on and then stick the temples of my glasses between the helmet cushioning and my head. From then on, any shifting of the helmet will change the position of the glasses, I tried taking some (and finally all) of the padding where the eyeglass temples rest as per the helmet instructions. It didn't work. 3. I mounted the Sena system. The helmet accommodated the wiring, and mounted just fine. However, wearing the helmet with the mounted speakers was a problem for me because the speakers pressed up against my ears causing chafing and pain. I couldn't mount them any other way. Also, the general wind noise in the helmet was so high I could not hear anything very well when I was riding, nor would the Sena system respond to any voice commands, regardless of where I mounted the various microphones. The noise was the same regardless of whether the chin protector was up or down. You might think this is a total indictment of the helmet. It isn't. I think I got a helmet that didn't fit my particular head structure and now, I've had it too long to return it. When you've been told to break a helmet in, and it doesn't "break in", you've got a helmet that you can't use and no way to replace it or return it. The helmet size I bought is the size I've always worn successfully, and it is the largest that Shark makes in that model helmet. June 7, 2016
Great store, cool helmet I bought this helmet for my wife. Revzila delivered really fast, nice product. Only thing is the kind a heavy, but she loved it. June 7, 2016
Well, hmmmm.... I have my Shark EVO Hakka for 6 months now and I think it's good time for the review. It's not all good news. I am size large and neutral shape. SIzing is accurate (60cm=L). Shape is neutral, but there is decent amount of pressure on cheek bones that is bordering uncomfortable. Pressure increases with a chin-bar locked in forward position due to limited lateral flex. Vent holes serve only ornamental purpose. I cant feel the difference of vents position. Visor fogs easy, but there are 9 detentes to increase the air flow. Most of the wind comes from underneath the helmet. That also tells you that the helmet is noisy. Visor rattles in open position at speeds over 80kmh (50mph). Visor is not made of high quality polycarbonate and it picks up dirt easily. The seal around the visor is not perfect and it leaks water during heavy downpour. You would need hex drive in order to replace the visor. The internal sun visor is excellent and have infinite adjustment slider. Balance with chin-bar forward is good and locking it in that position comes with somewhat whimpy, plasticky click - not extremely reassuring. Moving chin-bar in back position liberates your face and provides ample of air, as you would expect from open face helmet. That also changes the balance. I would recommend this helmet only to cruiser riders with decent amount of wind protection and for cooler climates. June 6, 2016
