Installed on Nolan N44/ AWESOME!!!
This is way louder than my original Sena SMH10 unit. The versitility is great. LOVE THIS THING.
Put in on an Nolan N44 with the sticky mount just behind the Nolan comm. mount on the left side. Works great.

Now I Have Bluetooth On Both Helmets!
First off I have to mention Revzilla's amazing customer service. Somehow with free shipping I received this the following day and this was from Philly to Phoenix!

More importantly is the product. I was worried I'd have to either get a cheaper bluetooth or bite the bullet and pay another $160+ for an SMH10 so I could have one on my RF1100. I found this kit though and for less than $60 I am now easily able to switch my entertainment/voice guided GPS between my Neotec and RF1100. This kit is literally everything but the bluetooth receiver so speakers, mount and a few different microphone options are included. I decided on the wired mic that sticks on the inside vs the goofy looking boom mic that I have trouble getting to fit in my Neotec. Call quality is much better although I rarely use this for making calls.

I gave a 4 for durability as I haven't had this for long and 4 for ease of install because I have a little bit of wire sticking out, otherwise it's pretty easy to put on.

Sena headsets are excellent
I've used my Sena headset for thousands of miles in all kinds of weather. My original base has worn out on me so its time to replace it. This one gives you the option of using in-ear headphones or speakers without having to change bases. Works great.

Use of earbugs (with sound reduction) make highway travel a breeze!
My wife and I have used the sena smh10 units to communicate between bikes for several years. Great product. However, the speakers are just ok sound wise and you really have to use max volume to hear at freeway speeds (75-85 mph here in Texas).
Using earbuds with built in earplug is great for cycling. Cuts enough windnoise that freeway speeds aren't taxing and you can still hear voice communications or music well.
These units made our recent long trip much more enjoyable!

One every helmet
I have this on everyone of my helmets. It makes swapping the module easy.

Protip - get some acoustic concert earplugs. You can hear everything on the sena speakers better, and lose all the road and wind noise.

I like the product except...
Overall, the Sena helmet clamp is what I expected with one exception. I bought this clamp to put on a Modular helmet. The one that came with my Sena SMH 10 that I bought a while ago did not have a microphone boom that would fit in my Modular. Everything is great except I do not understand why the connection to the ear-buds isn't the standard 3.5 mm. It comes with an adapter, so I can use it, but there is about 4 inches of wire sticking out the bottom of the clamp which is a bit odd, but not any real problem. I do love my Sena SMH 10 though...

Sena put together a great product offering with the A0306 clamp bracket.
Replaced my original clamp bracket because my helmet has a reverse curvature where the clamp was installed, it left a gap between the clamp and the surface of the helmet which caused the failure. The new SMH10-A0306 clamp bracket is easy to install and if used as a replacement for the standard clamp bracket, offers much more flexibility of how you like to hear your music or communications. I wish that SENA would use this style clamp as a standard with their SMH10 system. Using your own earbuds has the advantage of better quality sound and isolation of ambient noise such as wind and traffic. Simple change from in helmet speakers to ear buds by just plugging one or the other into the clamp kit.

Good product with some flaws..
I have the Sena SMH-10 system on two helmets currently. It was recommended by a friend. Overall I've been happy with the product especially with its ease of use. It only takes a little while to install on your helmet and a few minutes to figure out its functions and off you go.

The sound is as good as you would expect through the speakers. Meaning you can hear everything you need to above wind noise but if you want HiFi you need buds. This makes the option to swap very good.

The biggest problem I have with Sena is their reliance on cheap parts. On my previous sets (and why I replaced them with this one) the wires are EASILY frayed and start to cut out. They have re-designed the wiring to keep it from bending so much but I can already tell the wires are made from the same cheap plastic/rubber and will break again, probably sooner than later. Others have complained about this as well, so I know I'm not the only one with this concern. Dang Sena, step it up...you are so close to a great product. Spend some money on better material!

I do recommend this product but only with the caveat that you can expect to replace the clamp kit.

Not what I would expect from Sena and once opened you cannot return
I got this as a second for a modular. My 1st that came with my unit is awesome and based on the description, I figured would go with a separate mic rather than attached boom as well as the ability to change to aftermarket speakers. The speakers sound awful and the glue comes off the backing so the mic does not stay and with a modular you can only use the boom mic. Save the extra $20 and go with the attached mic and speakers. Now I am out $50

I have the SMH-10. Bought it for my wife and I at Christmas, used it for about an hour and it was awesome but my wife's connection came apart at the microphone. I hope Sena will stand behind this we are sending it back as a warranty repair. This unit will allow us to snap in the blue tooth we already have and we will be up and running without having to wait on the warranty repair.

Love the sena product, would like option of using with earbuds to improve sound quality and protect my hearing on longer trips. Around town I like the speakers to maintain situational awareness and not have to mess with earbuds.
Matthew S on Sep 23, 2014
I like using earbuds. But this package gives me a bit more flexibility.

Replacement for the one that came with my SMH10 because the boom mic broke off. I like the flexibility this one offers regarding ear buds.
Ken K on Jul 11, 2014
The plug in jack on the original design kept breaking. Hopefully the new design will work better. Wish Sena would have replaced the old with the new because it was their design flaw.

Donald G on Jul 1, 2014
If you want the option to use ear buds vs. the speakers that come with the Sena SMH-10, then this is the clamp kit to get. It will not break like the other clamp kits that Sena sells.
Jon H on Jun 21, 2014
Original helmet speakers' sound is too low on the highway, so I'll try optional base for ear buds.
Al K on Jun 15, 2014
Needed an extra mount for my other helmet. I liked the flexibility of this kit - having the option of helmet speakership ear buds, and using either the boom mic or small wired mic.

Does this kit come with the speakers, boom mic, wired mic, speakers and earbud cable or am I just getting the attachment base/clamp?
Ian E on Dec 18, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Getting everything except the Bluetooth module that clicks in.... So this is a kit to have on your other helmet so all you have to do is snap in the module
Does this come with the extra mounting adhesive, speaker covers & spacers, mic windscreens and stuff that the standard model has?
david c on May 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes and no. The main unit doesn't need to be permanently placed. They have this clamp instead it's actually better to me. It also comes with a permanent mount if you like.
Does this unit have a MP3 jack like the original unit?
Bret J on Aug 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Bret, I was responding to the main question about the MP3 input. I did not notice any bass gain whatsoever. I got this upgrade to be able to use earphones & this makes a huge difference in sound quality for music. Hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: Yes it does! My I-pod works very well with it.
Will this kit work with the Sena 20S?
A shopper on Jul 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: sorry,I dont know, I dont know if anyone has the 20 yet. Go to the forum on Sena's wen site, I expect you can find an answer there. Or call Sena, they have a useful help line.
Can the earbuds and speakers be plugged in at the same time or is it just one of them?
I like leaving both setup in my helmet but the SMH-A304 which is just a headphone jack broke, the wires were not durable enough for the constant switching.
A shopper on Jun 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: One at a time there is one INPUT at the base of the clamp you can see it in the picture. You can have the speakers installed in your helmet and leave them disconnected tuck the wire into the padding and use you earbuds.

Hope that helps.
Will this headset work with a goldwing wiring plugs?
A C on Apr 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not sure what you are trying to do. The purpose of the setup is to allow you to not be tethered to the bike at all. You would need to be wired in or have a blue tooth adapter that allow you to hook into the Goldwing setup. This clamp has no external connector to hook into the Goldwing system. I was a wing rider for 20 years, so I am very familiar with the setup. I though some variants of the 1800 wing had blue tooth compatibility.
Okay still trying figure out if using earbuds will help change the quality of the sound. For the most part the unit sounds tinny and Im thinking its because of the speakers. Will I gain some bass by using the earbuds?
Bret J on Aug 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: There are earbuds, called Plugfones, which are PERFECT for a motorcycle. They are noise-isolating, and they sound good enough on a bike. I HIGHLY recommend them with the Sena SMH-10. They do a good job blocking out most everything but the music. The speakers are a little tinny, but the Plugfones do a nice job.
What is the compatibility of this item? Is it specific to the SMH-10, or can I use the SMH5 series as well?
A shopper on Jan 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I don't own this, but the SMH5 clamp is different than the SMH10 clamps and are not interchangeable. So this clamp wouldn't work with an SMH-5 base unit.
