Scorpion IMS 1909 Leather Jacket
I'm transitioning from a sport bike to a modern classic, so naturally I was looking to add a retro style riding jacking to my gear closet. This Scorpion jacket went on sale by about 1/2, deal of the year! So I picked one up. Love the styling, the IMS patch is bad-a** and the subtle embossed logos look cool. The leather and materials are absolutely top-notch. The pants zipper and convenient belt loop strap are definitely appreciated. Plenty of pocket space, included a few on the sleeves (right forearm and left shoulder - cool!).
I'm 5'10", 175, and I have a 42" chest. Based on the video review / sizing, I went with a size Medium and it's a perfect fit. The arms have a little extra room but after adding elbow guards they're better. I had to remind myself that I'm used to wearing much tighter fitting sport bike jackets. I had a spare Forcefield back protector (size 001) and picked up Forcefield shoulder and elbow guards. I had to trim them a bit to get them to fit well in the Scorpion's armor pockets, no big deal. With the back pad, elbow and shoulder pads, it still fits and feels great.
Minor nit-picks - I wish all the zipper pulls had rubber ends on them (like the pocket zippers do). Sleeve zippers could have slightly better "grab" to them but they feel stable enough. Again, minor stuff.
At this sale price, this was an absolute no-brainer. Just make sure to budget for back / elbow / shoulder armor inserts and you'll have a rock-solid retro riding jacket.

Basically my favorite jacket that i have ever owned! Supreme functionality and style.

I'm 5' 10.5" and 155 lbs so I went with a medium. This jacket feels like it was made for me. If you're a slim guy with long arms, this jacket was made for you too.
The color is awesome -- closer to charcoal than straight black. The IMS logo and Scorpion branding are very subtle and accent the texture of the leather perfectly. Don't expect any bells or whistles, but if you're looking for a classic jacket for a classic bike, look no further. It doesn't get any better than this.

Love at First Sight
BFTB: I got this on sale which made it all the more worth it. Although I probably would have bought it even if it wasn't.
Style: Has a genuine vintage feel w/ the distressed leather - bamf
Comfort: The jacket looked stocky in the video review but when I tried it on, it fit very nicely. The stiffness and weight of the leather is a bit restrictive but that's to be expected.
P&D: Thankfully I have not had a chance to test it out but I do feel very safe in it.
Air Flow: It's no mesh jacket but I typically ride with the jacket partially unzipped. I'm fine when in motion
Features: I like the liners even though that seems standard on jackets now. The collar and wrist zippers are great for cold nights. I don't use the jacket-to-pants zipper.
I've been browsing RevZilla (Much love btw) for a few months trying to find a jacket that I would wear on and off the bike. I'm glad I spotted this. Highly recommend.

Great on and off the bike!
This a great leather jacket that fits perfectly. Being shorter in stature I was worried it would be too big, but I went with the sizing guide and it is spot on. This version doesn't come with armor, which is fine since I had some from a previous jacket to spare. The armor is not even noticeable since the jacket is so streamlined. I'd wear this jacket even if I wasn't riding. Great bang for the buck with Revzilla's price match.

Like the another review on here I also picked this up at the Indianapolis MotoGP. It is a little pricey but it is worth it. Very nice fit and comfortable to ride in the warm and cold weather. This jacket looks great and I wear it even when I am not riding. Definitely a great pick up if you're looking for a comfortable vintage looking leather jacket. Plus it has the Indianapolis Motor Speedway logo on it so it's even cooler.

I picked one of these up last weekend for the Redbull GP in Indianapolis. Was a bit hesitant based on the price, but this is bar-none one of...if not the...nicest leather jackets I've ever owned. I guess the branding is either hit of miss, either you like Indianapolis Motor Speedway or you don't...but other than the wing and wheel logo on the chest and a couple embosses it's basically unbranded and has a very vintage feel. Weight is awesome -- feels like a leather jacket should: dense but not overwhelmingly heavy. I'm an XL and the fit is right on the money. I look forward to many years to come wearing this as a riding jacket and a casual piece.
