Lot of bang for buck Fits true to size on your head, it's lighweight and very comfortable. Graphics on shell and liner are really nice. The liners are very soft on your head and face. Ventilation is good but it does get a bit noisy. Drop down visor works good. It could've been lower but it does the job. The pump-up cheek pads work great but the actual pump is really close to your chin. The shield is good and has wide range of view but be careful how you clean it cause you could mess up the anti-coating on the inside. Overall is a great helmet. You get a lot for what you pay for. I would definitely recommend this helmet. September 25, 2012
Perhaps i was expecting more...maybe i just got a bad apple. Helmet looks great. The red is a nice bright red, not a dark red. Taking off the shield is easy-breezy and the air flow is great. Problems: The air pump system is FANTASTIC....until it deflates on it's own. The first time i went riding in it i noticed that when it came time to take off the helmet and deflate...there was nothing to deflate. Hmmm. Second time i used it i had the same problem. Hmm HMMMMM. Today at home as per the instructions of a revzilla rep, i inflated the pads and just let it sit on the table. After 15 minutes, still had air and it deflated. Pumped it up again...this time waited 30 minutes. All the air was gone. Nothing to deflate. Second issue: The shield has streaks on it over by the far right side that look like dried water markings. I almost want to say that there is something wrong with the shield coating in this little section. Held in the right light these dried "water streak" patterns have an iridescent shimmer to them. If these issues weren't present, i'd be satisfied with the helmet. The drop down internal visor is very convenient. A bit rattly when on the fwy. The helmet is also pretty noisy on the fwy. For the price however, it's much better than what's out there. September 6, 2012
Great helmet Had the helmet for 2 years now, and have ridden from 110 degrees to -10 degrees. The vents flow ok, but only in full race tuck or turning your head 30-45 degrees do you feel the top vents along the top of your head. That being said, the rear vents pull a lot of heat out of the helmet, I've yet to find it uncomfortable. In cold weather, expect your neck to freeze, but your head will retain heat and stay just fine. The click-down visor is an AWESOME feature, and the inflatable cheek pads let you custom fit for whatever quirks your lumpy head may present. Also, it's great to pump them up fully on a windy day to keep from getting pushed around. After 2 years though, the pads aren't inflating as much as they used to, but that could be just wearing down the cheek pads after 8,000 miles of riding. Good helmet for the price point, design looks amazing both at a distance and up close it's even better. It does run small however, I wear a 7 1/8 size hat, and needed a large to not feel crushed. Good Helmet for the price I love the helmet the only thing I have to complain about it the front screan does get foggy at night once in a while depending on weather but I would beleave that's normal. Other than that it's an excellent helmet it fits nice and tight and i feel protected when wearing it. July 23, 2012

Great helmet at a good price! This is the second helmet I have owned. Compared to my HJC CS-R1, it comes with a higher price tag, but is loaded with features that I simply couldn't find in a helmet around $200. The HJC did fine for a $90 helmet, but I immediately felt a difference in durability and product quality. It is a fantastic helmet and looks great. The inflatable cheek pads may come in handy as the material begins to loosen up. I would recommend this to anyone. December 6, 2011
Awsome Looking Helmet! I'm very happy on my purchase. I got the black oil and it looks sleek with a silver faceshield. This helmet has a low tin profile so it doesn't look like a bubble head on me. And RevZilla always deliver Great Service!!! Thanks!!! September 11, 2011

We are not aware of any specific links, however using a google image search does reveal several images of the EXO 500 Oil with some different color face shields on it.

Hey, I have owned the exo 400 and two exo 700. Great helmets. My cousin bought the 1100 thinking the higher model represented higher quality...not true. Scorpion is a great company btw. But the 1100 is more of a touring style helmet, meant for the upright position. The 500 is meant more for the 3/4 to full tuck position (aka sportier profile). Hope this helps. And if you're in no rush, I would recommend waiting for the s2000 to release this fall. I made the mistake of dropping $800 on a bell RSD black beauty carbon helmet, thinking it would be a HUGE step up from the scorpion, but didn't find that to be completely true. Good luck and hope this helps.
