Sargent KLR650 91+ Seat 4.9 5 14 14
No complaints I have not spent much time on the stock seat before replacing it with this lowered seat. I have no complaints about the Sargent seat (other than price). It's supposedly lowered but I honestly can't tell the difference with clearance (I believe it's wider than stock, so it cancels out any attempt at lowering). By now though I am used to tiptoeing and enjoy the high height where I can see above other vehicles. It's comfortable. It's sexy. Would I buy it again with it's high price? Maybe. As a commuter on a tiny island which there is no "touring", I would probably try cheaper options first. May 21, 2013
My second Sargent seat. Comfortable and great quality. My second Sargent seat. Comfortable and great quality. I like the way I can ride in a number of seating positions while not getting numb in the butt. April 15, 2013
Good addition to my bike Easy to install and very comfortable. Material seems a little thin, I am afraid to be rough (I take great care getting on and off the bike from fear of damaging the seat). A little pricey but I am happy April 1, 2013
Low Seat Bummer... I'm 5'8", 160 lbs. with a 30" inseam and I found the low seat too ergonomically unsound. While riding the short trip to work I found that the clearance between the seat and my footpegs was causing cramping in my legs making for an uncomfortable ride. I also felt the bike become too low for me, I missed that perched feeling you get on the stock height. Having said that the quality of materials and the craftmanship of this seat is top notch. And the seat ITSELF is comfortable to sit on. Due to the wear marks inherent to installing and sitting on a new seat, it does not meet the requirements for an exchange, understandably. As soon as I can sell this one and save up some cash, I will be buying the standard height seat from Revzilla. Hope this helps... February 21, 2013
Affordable and easy to install. Sargent low version for KLR 650 is an affordable and easy modification that has an immediate and noticeable positive effect. The lower profile of the seat enables a more comfortable riding position and eliminates stress points that lead to discomfort on long rides that I experienced with the stock seat. For the short legged individuals; it is an easy way to increase the area of contact between your feet and the ground without lowering links and/or sacrificing ground clearance. It is a hard seat at first, but the level of comfort increases with the miles. I can not honestly rate the durability as I have not had the seat long, but it appears to be a quality made product. Lowered Seat Great product that gives you a couple more inches closer to the ground. The material has a carbon fiber resemblance and texture. Revzilla sent the product out fast even though I live way out in Hawaii! January 21, 2013
2009 KLR650E I'm 54 & 280. Yesterday I put 628 miles in this saddle. It is a little ruff on the back side on the hard hits. That is way you get up on your legs. If you are a true rider, then this saddle is for you. January 21, 2013
2008 KLR 650 Sargent Low Seat very nice seat and does help with the vertically challenged. i installed this seat and lowered shock to 3 and it has made a big difference. i am 5 8 and can almost flat foot on both sides now. the seat is more comfortable than stock which is a bonus as i was looking for lowering bike without affecting handling. fast shipping and revzilla cash for my next purchase made this purcase a winner! i highly recommend this seat and revzilla. I actually only need to know how much more it lowers my reach to the ground when sitting at a light. Some lower seats are wider, and don't really help you reach the ground better. I am inseam challenged, and cannot "flat-foot" on the stock seat. I also find the stock seat uncomfortable. I don't mind the height, except when on gravel, because my tip-toes don't have enough of a "footprint" for traction, and I'm always slipping whenever I am stopped on gravel.

I have to ride on gravel roads everyday, as well as stop. Will this seat improve my leg's reach to the ground? I'm thinking two inches should do it, but I don't want to lose any suspension travel by lowering the bike.

Answer:
The low seat is approximately 1 inch lower than stock. The true benefit is that the front of the saddle is tapered and more narrow so that your legs are not forced apart as much while stopped with your feet on the ground.

Answer:
I have 30" legs, on my KLR650 I can back it up in the gravel. I live out in (BFE) Oklahoma, so I'm on gravel 90% of the time.

I was looking for the same information then I came across the following review.

Based on the information within the review, the low profile seat will drop you down 2 inches.

Hope this helps.
