Real Decent Seat. Initial Reaction: A Keeper. Bought this seat based on generally good reviews and company reputation. As most everyone has noted it is a huge improvement over the evil stock seat. Real nice finish and looks great on my 05 BMW R1200GS. Really nicely sculpted and fits my 54 year old behind nicely. As well I like the lip in the back that keeps you from sliding back during acceleration. I am 510' and weigh 190 lbs and opted for the standard heigth based on a 33 inseam. If your inseam is 32 or less you might consider the low version if you wish a flat foot stance. The seat is considerably firmer than stock and will take some getting use to at first. But you will find that you will be able to ride AT LEAST twice as far before fidgeting. If I have one complaint it is that the fit betweeen the seat and tank leaves about a 3/8 inch gap that the stock seat does not. I have fashioned a foam rubber shim to fill the gap so you can't tell. All in all a very nice seat for just north of 325 bucks. Ride safe and often my fellow riders! July 30, 2015
Sargent World Sport seat for BMW R12GS So after enduring the stock torture device that BMW likes to call a seat for almost three years, I decided it was time to give my backside a break and hopefully make the bike a little more enjoyable to ride. After a much exhaustive search for what to me would be the "perfect" replacement seat, I finally decided on the Sargent product for several reasons. One, I liked the small underseat storage compartment. I was now able top keep the important papers (manual, insurance card, and registration card) within easy reach. Two, I did not have to sacrifice the factory seat and would be able to revert back if I so desired. (What the... was I thinking?? I'll never go back after this!!) And third, the styling and materials of the Sargent product appealed to me the most. I'm up to around 1k miles of riding on the new seats and they seem to just keep getting better each time. Yes, there are times when I still get sore, but it's not painfully sore like with the factory seat. If you are considering replacing your stock seat and are hesitant because of the price of an aftermarket, I can honestly say this was some of the best money I ever spent on the bike! July 23, 2015
Great seat over the stock BMW seat I bought this for my 2009 BMW R1200GS Adventure. Fits perfectly even though the application is not listed. It is a huge improvement over the stock seat but seems to be a little lower in sitting position. I've only been able to ride about 200 miles using it but so far really like it. July 7, 2015
So much better then the stock seat Much better then the stock seat. I have a big #%& and it is just what I needed. However, not sure if the weld seam is going to bother me. So far I feel it but my rides have all been ~1+ hours. The weld seam looks better but I think I will in time wish I went for the custom flush seam I am 6'1" 250 lb, 2011 R1200GS Adventure May 18, 2015
Pretty good option! I've only had this seat for a few weeks and have not done any long trips on it yet. That said, so far I'm very satisfied. Particularly when considering the price point. Sure a custom seat is likely going to be more comfortable but for this price I'm happy. Much better than stock 1200 GSA seat! March 30, 2015
Great seat A great seat...very comfortable... Much improved over the original equipment seat....I wish they would put this seat on as the factory seat... October 20, 2014
Easy rider The Sargent seat is a handsome, comfortable, durable alternative to your stock seat. It fits like the OEM seat; so it's a very easy and important addition to your motorbike. I have used these seats on two motorbikes and recommend it highly. August 18, 2014
Outstanding. Very comfortable Received product on a Tuesday. Went on a 2100 mile, 7 day journey the following week. Couldn't have been more pleased. One day we spent 12 hours and 500 miles in the saddle. All secondary roads. Highly recommended. June 30, 2014

Dean K: I purchased the regular height seat but from the research I did prior to the purchase the padding is the same the difference is in the seat pan and the attachment points. Hopefully this helps. Jul 12, 2014

A S: I was able to return mine after a few days (was too low for me, otherwise very comfy). I kept the packaging and returned it in new condition just like I received it. There was a small fee for shipping that was deducted from my revzilla bucks. Gotta love revzillas customer service. May 29, 2014

EC A: Hi Ted
it makes the seat height great however it is a very firm seat. Way to firm for me. Good Luck with your purchase however I would ask you to review the return policy. I was not allowed to return mine after it had been ridden on my bike.

Richard O asked: Will this seat fit a 2014 GS Adventure? Apr 13, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Walter F: According to their website Sargent hasn't released a seat designed for the 2014 GS (still in development). Looking at pictures they posted of the new seat, the front portion that wraps around the gas tank is shaped differently therefore I would have say this seat probably will not fit a 2014 GS. James W: No. The seat for the 2014 GSA is under development by Sargent with a target release date of June 2014. Check Sargent's web site for details. Apr 13, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jaime O: If you already bought the riders seat of course is a good upgrade. If not I think is a good idea start with the front seat. Is an A+ upgrade. Oct 21, 2013

Jason S: But Revzilla does not sell it? I do not see it listed on the website.

Thanks Oct 21, 2013
BILL R: That is a question for customer service, which is great by the way. My "guess" is that the answer is yes.
