Only Denim Jacket that makes you feel like you are wearing a motorcycle jacket
Excellent overall jacket. Been looking for a denim jacket that can be actually used as a motorcycle jacket for a long time now. Excellent value for money, design, and gives quite a good protection level when using the protection gear. What is really cool, is that even with the protection gear on, the jacket does not change shape or feeling. The only thing regarding comfort, is that the sleeves come a bit to short in proportion to the overall sizing of the jacket. No worries though, since its mainly a summer jacket and a little skin above the wrists is really no problem.

Great lightweight jacket, ideal for hot, Australian summer days. Great fit and tough. Haven't tried it with the armor ... but there are pockets in the shoulder and back region. Nice to see there are still a few things 'Made in the USA'!!

Western/Trucker Denim Jacket WITH Soft Armor!!!!
The Western/Trucker denim jacket is almost as common as leather jackets amongst certain segments of motorcyclists - you're usually talking about your everyday Levi's, Lee & Wrangler. But here Roland Sands has taken this staple and added some clever twists to it to make it a great light-weight motorcycle jacket that is very much at home both on and off the bike. The denim feels to be of decent quality, nicely cut, well-stitched, and has subtle motorcycle-specific features - zippered side pockets, bi-swing back that works well, and pockets for soft armor in elbows, shoulder & back that take RSD's soft armor (does not come with the jacket, need to buy separately). Even with armor in place the jacket does not look too bulky to be automatically seen as an all-out motorcycle jacket. Obviously, you cannot expect it to offer the same protective capabilities as a racing motorcycle leather suit with hard armor, but it sure beats the alternative of riding in your typical non-armored street denim jacket! RSD sizing seems to run a wee bit on the smaller side. I'm around 5'10" tall, weigh around 175 lbs with chest size somewhere in between 40 and 42 - I usually wear a size Medium but was advised to get a Large, which I did and it fits me very well. Overall a very stylish motorcycle jacket at a decent price that ticks all the right boxes in my book. And to top it off it's made in USA! I'm wearing this as one of my hot-weather motorcycle jackets and am loving it very much. A DEFINITE buy in my book!

Sonam A:I have the Fubar denim jacket and the Ronin leather jacket. Both do NOT have kevlar or similar material in them. The Fubar is pretty much a typical trucker/western-style denim jacket with motorcycle-specific upgrades, including pockets for RSD's light armor. The Ronin leather jacket too has pockets for this same armor. Hope this helps.Sep 27, 2013
