Great jacket for the price
I don't normally buy stuff like this online but the reviews on it were good and I trust revzilla so I figured why not I'll try it out. I've had this jacket for over 6 months now and I'll most likely update this review in another 6 months. First thing I noticed after getting out on the road was the air flow was excellent. I live in VA and in the summer it gets it and humid, I'd normally cook in a regular jacket but wasn't bad at all when I was moving. Take out the liner for the hotter months and the airflow gets even better. Leather doesn't feel cheap, looks nice, zippers are a bit stiff though and get stuck sometimes. Have to be careful with them. The waist belt is nice because Ive got a smaller waist so I can adjust it accordingly. The fit itself is good overall. Plenty of mobility, not a lot of break in required.

Only thing I noticed that bugs me is one sleeve is shorter than the other, but besides that great jacket over all. Sizing chart is true, I bought a winter river road jacket using the same size as this one and it fits the same. This is my first jacket purchase but I'm picky with what I buy, I like this jacket and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't wanna spend $3-400+ on a jacket. Get a lot of bang for your buck with this one.

So far so good
Have worn it in 87 degree weather and as long as your moving the evaporation and ventilation work together to keep you cooll. Looks very cool. Seems durable for a minor brush but I hope to never find out. Tons of easily accessible storage.

Nice, but has some flaws.
I like this jacket, but seeing as it was my first jacket with my first bike, I really didn't know what to expect. Now that I've put a few hundred miles on this jacket, I can properly assess what I like and what I don't like.

Likes:
Lots of storage, very breathable, comfortable.

Dislikes:
I hate the strings on the side that never stay tied and always come undone. Also this jacket is heavy and a little stiff for my tastes. Also no padding in case you should ever hit the ground.

I've since migrated to a light-weight breathable motosports jacket with protection for elbows, shoulders, and back.

Overall, I'd recommend it for the casual city driver (which I am), but should you get stuck in traffic, this thing is way too hot for summer.

Great leather for abrasion resistance to wear over armor
I wear this on top of my Leatt 5.5 Body Protector Pro HD.
It has no built-in armor so it fits well over my own. Would be great if it had a back zipper to attach to pants, but oh well.

It breaths pretty well.

It doesn't have the refinement of a quality leather jacket, but for riding purposes, it's a pretty good deal.

Good company reputation, plus it is perforated which we need in the heat here

I have an armored mesh jacket but wanted a leather jacket as well. I ride 3 seasons so this jacket should be perfect. I bought because its perforated and has a zip out liner for cooler temps. The only downside is it's not armored but being leather it will save your hide if you go down. It is a good looking jacket and at $99 it was the best price of any web site out there by far. If your in the market for this type of jacket you wont find a better price than at Revzilla.

I wanted an abrasion resistant jacket (with no armor) to cover my Leatt 5.5 Body Protector armor. It also looks great and matches my cruiser look.
Abtin on Sep 24, 2015
I normally wear biker jackets through all four seasons and in the hotter seasons its a pain to wear with the thermal lining, so hopefully this perforated jacket works out.

I will always love uncentered ziplines (is that what they're called?). My style plus protection, and the reflective strips are very nice.
Ryan S on Dec 4, 2014
like classic look to go with my cruiser and like the summer leather perforated.
charles j on Jul 3, 2014
I love RR classic and vintage lines. Unfortunately smaller men's sizes are out of stock or nonexistent. I wanted a lightweight classic biker jacket for spring and fall riding on the east coast so this perforated jacket is perfect. Honestly, it's probably the best jacket I own and I've acquired way too many over the years. Even on the hottest days I'll wear this sometimes to avoid sunburn- once you're cruising it feels like a cool fan is blowing on you!
David P on Jul 1, 2014
Nice to have the protection and look of leather, with the breathability offered by the perforation
Ryan S on May 7, 2014
This jacket is for my dad. He's a hardcore Harley rider and I wanted to get him a good looking jacket without paying the Harley price tag. This jacket looks better than every other old school jacket I've seen and the price is great and it's perforated!! I can't wait to see his face when he opens it.
Matthew O on Dec 20, 2013
This jacket is awesome but initially I ordered one size too small hence the exchange from 46 to 48

Hey there,

I'm almost the size of Offices Mahone in the video. Maybe a tad larger.
I was wondering if, aside from the liner that comes with the jacket I could wear a hoodie or a sweatshirt underneath the jacket. Is that possible? Even with a thinner hoodie / sweatshirt.

Can you recommend something that would make this jacket water resistant? Like an extra liner of some sort.

Thanks!
A shopper on Feb 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I found the jacket runs a little big. I ordered the XXL according to the measurement guidelines on the site. I found the XL fit me better, so thank goodness for the awesome return policy of Revzilla it turned out to be not a problem to exchange it.

I would imagine if you removed the liner you could easily wear a thin jacket or hoodie under this jacket. The liner in it is about the same weight as a thin material hoodie or jacket. I had this jacket about this time (Feb - Mar) last year with 20-28 degree mornings it kept me nice and toasty on my way to work, or school. By the time the afternoon 50-60 degree weather I could remove the liner and be comfortable on the ride home.

There was a time last April where it was kinda cloudy and there was a strong chance of afternoon rain. I was going into work early and I thought I was going home early to miss the rainstorm, but a co-worker called in and said he wasn't going to be there on time to relieve me. I ended up watching as the rain came in and boy did it pour! It was raining buckets of water. I was able to pull my bike into the shop and keep the seat dry. Long story short when my co-worker finally showed up to relieve me it was right in the thick of the rain, thunder, and lightning. I had no choice but to ride home. I live 14 miles from my work. I got my riding gear on and headed out. That was an adventure! I rode that bike all the way home occasionally wiping my goggles off and seeing lightning strike just yards from me in the famer's fields on my way home. When I got home right around my wrists and a little down my back was soaked I think the water down my back came from the water running off my helmet, but for the most part I was dry.

This jacket is awesome! I had my doubts about it, but all in all its a great jacket and it keeps you cool during the summer too! Which is fantastic.
Does the product come with armor? If not, which armor will fit it? Thanks!
A shopper on Jun 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The jacket does not have armor, nor does it have any pockets for the placement of armor. If you want armor, you will need to purchase elbow pads that attach to your arm or to include the shoulders, back, and chest, you would need to wear body protection under the jacket such as the Leatt body protector.
Hello, I 'm wonder if the classic look leather jacket suitable to wear it in the hot weather environment like in Malaysia ?
A shopper on Apr 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Have never been to Malaysia, but I purchased this jacket and live in North Carolina. During summer months I still cook in this jacket. Love it though so I deal with it.
I already own the Ironclad jacket. How much better is the ventilation in this one than the regular one with the vents open?
A C on Jan 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't have the original Ironclad, so I can't say for sure. However, I comfortably ride with this jacket till about 70. Anything else past that I opt for my mesh jacket with padding. Standstills are especially warm past 70 in the NC sun.
Being a perforated jacket how well would it keep you dry in the rain? I am debating on weather or not I should invest in this jacket or the un-perforated one.
A shopper on Jan 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I find the jacket has a nice weigh to it without it being to heavy
It has a inner liner which is easy to remove and replace and will keep you dry
But even without the liner in and it rains you don't get very wet it also drys very quickly
I live in Australia were it gets very hot I can wear this jacket in the heat and still not get over heated
Hope this helps as I love the jacket and was worth every dollar
John
I'm a small woman and it's hard to find good looking jackets. Does this jacket couture to a woman's shape? Or is it better suited just for men?
A shopper on May 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: On my opinion, it's suitable only for men. Sorry :-(
