I wear these as an over pant. I went up one size. They were a little tight with jeans on so sent them back. I'm 5' 10" 185 lbs I wear a 35/36 waist and 32 " inseam. If I wore them like they are designed the X-LG was perfect. As an over pant the XX-L is the best fit.
The one thing I don't like about them as an over pant is the leg zipper only goes up a little way. My old pants the zipper goes all the way up. If I could do it again I would look else where only because of that. I know I'll be staying warm so I'm happy about that.

You get what you pay for with Motorcycle gear.
The first pair I ordered by the chart were to small and I had to return them. Thanks to Revzilla's return policy, no trouble there, just had to wait. The second try fit perfectly. I can get a pair of jeans on underneath these but for comfort sake I just like to wear these while riding and take a pair of jeans in my backpack.
I do wish I had a couple more inches in length on the inseam because they ride up to above the ankle when I get into the saddle. So that's twice I've warned you potential buyers to go for a size or two larger when ordering.
They feel like a cozy sleeping bag when the thermal liner is installed. When it isn't installed the knee armor seesaws on my kneecaps and after a few hours my knees are tender and soar. Not so much of an issue when the liner is in.
Other than that the pants look and feel like they were assembled out of quality products with extreme care and attention to detail.
Middle TN isn't the great white north but it can get brutally cold here. My goal is to keep riding as long as there's traction. These pants along with the GTX jacket should help me achieve that with relative comfort and protection.

Comfortable fit, armored protection, and un-assailable quality. An excellent pant for long tours.
I have put a lot of miles on these Rev'It GTX Legacy pants. The more ride in them, the better I like them.
At first they seem like an odd fit. The longs are really long. I am 6'2" and have a 34" inseam, so I ordered the "long" size. They seemed almost too long. The knee pads droop down lower than my knees when standing, even when adjusted to the highest velcro positioned. These are not pants to wear for social occasions.
But sit ON YOUR BIKE, and you'll get it. They are cut to fit perfectly when riding: the right length over your boot, the right position for the knee protectors, the right length and comfort up your back. Of all the motorcycle pants I've owned, these are far and away the best fit and greatest protection ever.
This summer, I wore them on a 5,000+ mile trip from Colorado to Canada and back via six western states and two provinces. 900 miles was in the rain, at times pouring down at 42 F degrees. The pants worked perfectly. On extended rainy days, I did wear an additional rain pant, but only to ward off the mud and road slop.
I found them to be sufficiently warm without the insert down to 50 degrees. Below that, the thermal inserts worked nicely to 35 F. They are comfortable on warm days up to 80, after which they become stuffy but still tolerable up to around 90 with the vents open. Yet for the bullet-proof feel of the fabric, amount of armor and GoreTex, they balance high-low temperatures just fine.
Yes, they are pricey. But on those long 600+ mile days or 8 hours of pouring rain, they are worth every cent.

Great pants, buy one size up.
According to the chart, I should wear a medium. Returned them for the large and they fit great. Not an overpant so there isn't really room for pants underneath but they were great on my ride. It was 39 degrees and raining. I stayed warm and dry. No complaints.

Outstanding cold weather pants
Completely awesome cold-weather pants. I bought my true size, and I can still get jeans underneath them. Waterproof, stylish and (thus far) rugged. Even on the coldest (below 30 degrees) mornings, these pants deflect all wind, provide incredible warmth, and are waterproof to boot.
The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because of the short leg zippers. They only zip up to just below the knee, which makes putting boots on/off a little bit of a stretch.
