puma boots are great, much comfier than dianese.. sidi n the others i nvr use, they all squeek after a few uses.. only puma n dianese for this rider.. however note, puma comes a bit small so if u are a size 10 buy size 11... also unfortunately the zippers on these pumas bust after a certain amt of use, i had to get my re-zipped twice.. but still i keep buying them bkz 1. they are the most comfortable of all comparable boots, 2. air flow is very good, and3. they're puma, rock n roll ....

boots fitted perfectly right from beginning, like a glove, very comfy even on my wide feet. One downside - be careful drying them after being soaking wet - I had boots wet for 4 days (never had a chance to dry) than they dried on 105F hot day and shrunk one-two sizes down, next few days of riding was nightmare. Used some stretching solution, liking those boots again!!

I have owned these boots since march, and these are my first pair of riding boots.
Since I have nothing to compare them to, I just have to say that they work out great for the extensive weekend rides I go on. They're stylish,comfortable and durable. The toe sliders work out great, and many times helped me out. They provide great support and my feet never feel fatigued after a few hours of harsh riding.
Great buy, I'll recommend these to all riders who are looking for comfortable boots to use for occasional rides and track days.

I've been wearing these boots since the Spring came this year, and I've ridden through rain and shine. The Goretex kept my feet dry on every trip!
They are extremely comfortable. The only time they lack comfort is when I walk around (for a long time) in them with short socks, as the upper half of the boot chaffs my skin. Long socks or short walks and it's no problem.
The only reason why I wore short socks in them, is they are hot in the summertime. I'm sure that is true of all decent boots however. The material did seem to wick the sweat away from my legs however which was nice.
The boot protected me in a low side crash. Speed estimated to be 20-30mph at the time of asphalt contact. The bike dragged me by my left foot until we stopped, and then it was sitting on my ankle. Thank goodness the Puma's have a molded heel! The heel held 600lbs off of my foot and didn't budge. I had x-rays and my foot had no broken bones. The left side of the boot, and a bit off the top got scrapped up.
They also look great! I have gotten many compliments on my boots. I'm hoping to replace my boots with an identical pair! The only fault I found is the zipper system began to tear at the very top on my left boot after a couple months of use.
A+ product from Puma!

Only have a few hundred miles on the boots so far but I'm very happy with the purchase. I was a little worried about the fit because I have wider than average feet. I normally wear a size 9.5 shoe. I got the size 43 and they fit great. The only thing I'm a little worried about is the durability of the zippers. They're of the waterproof variety and Im not sure how long they'll last.

I was very excited to find the Puma Desmo GTX riding boots on the Revzilla web site. Puma is a high quality brand and I have enjoyed their products in the past. After receiving my Desmo boots I can see that the pro riding footwear they make exceeds the quality of their regular products. The materials used are of very highest quality, and are in pristine condition out of the box. The workmanship is also of very high quality, some of the straightest and most uniform stitching I have seen. All the joints where the boots are glued are straight and clean with no over gluing or residue. It is a product worthy of a premium price.
The bold and dynamic styling not only looks great but it incorporates high impact plastic and rubber bumpers in all the right places for safety during a hard lean or accident. I was surprised to find that they came with two sets of toe sliders of different design. I removed the racing sliders and put on the second set; they are shorter and seem to relax the fit of the boot slightly. The sliders are easy to change with a standard metric hex wrench. These boots are very form fitting from the ankle down and do not have mush stretch in them so these are for someone with a narrow foot. My feet are of average width and they are a little tight on me, I think they will wear in nicely, but it is going to take a while, they are very stiff.
If you have never had a pair of Gore-tex boots you really need to get a pair. My feet have not had as much as one drop of water on them no matter the conditions in my Gore-tex boots. Riding in rain, ankle deep water, whatever you can throw at it, your feet are always dry. That is another big plus for these boots.
I would recommend these boots to any serious rider.

Just got these boots and been wearing them around. So far I love them I got them for my commuting boots and I definitely think they will be great for that.
For the sizing chart watch out because its a size off. I got 44s thinking they would be 10.5 US and they are 11s. The socks I wear with my boots luckily make these fit ok. I am tempted to send them back for a second time since the first time I mistakenly put 45 instead of 44, but I really don't want to wait for them to be shipped back since riding season is finally here.
All around build quality is great and the style is great old Puma styling. Comfort is top notch also, nice comfortable lining. They are a narrow boot which suits me good because my fit are narrow, but for someone like my buddy who has a wider foot he said they were not as comfortable and prefers his Sidi boots.
All in all I am glad I bought these and hoping they last me a while.

First off...these boots look great. That's what I liked about them. Fairly unassuming...no crazy buckles and straps (I don't race or do track days). One commute so far in a light rain, kept my feet warm and dry. I wanted boots to wear under my pants, and the velcro closure on the boots seems to be designed to be wrapped over pants. So I either need to do some serious calf workouts, or start tucking my pants during a ride.
I have had problems before finding the correct euro-us sizing for footwear. I have had to send back multiple pairs of mountain bike shoes in the past to find the right fit. Same deal with these boots.
I usually wear a size 11.5-12 in US sizing (depending on brands). The euro conversion chart suggested a 45. I could barely cram my toes into them. The next size up fits my right foot well...ok, maybe a little big. The left boot...still cramped. When I reached inside the boot to see if there was any leftove paper from the box, I discovered the stitching on the inside (which is nicely located under the insole on the right boot) is dead center in the toebox on the left! I've had shoe trees in them for a week to stretch them out, and have been wearing them around the house hoping to break them in. It's helping a bit, so I would expect after wearing them for a few weeks it won't be a problem...fingers crossed.
A bit frustrated with the entire purchase, however. I could have bought Dainese boots at my local shop for the cost of these plus two return shipping fees. A bit disappointed in the Revzilla return policy, but I guess the Zappos business model doesn't work for everyone.
Lesson learned...don't buy boots on the internet if return [shipping] isn't free.

Hello Revzilla,
I am torn between these two boots and I am hoping to get some advice. I am a beginner rider, and I wouldn't describe myself as an aggressive rider (no track days for me). I will be mainly riding the bike around the city with the a few longer trips (less than 80 miles). I am riding a Ducati Monster 796... Not sure if that is relevant. I am looking for a boot that is comfortable on and off, and one that provides good protection. Thanks in advance

they are both excellent boots.. for ur non-track Ducati rides i would recommend the V2.. very comfortable for long uses and off the bike they just look like a pair of regular handsome boots..

I would go with the Desmo boot, they provide a bit more protection and while they cost more or at least to me my feet are more important than a few dollars. I got the gortex ones since I do ride in any weather. Super comfy and have plenty of protection. I wear them for at least 8 hours straight at work and never have a problem with them.

Both of these boots are quite comfortable, but for sporty riding, the Desmo offers slightly more protection with things like the toe slider and other added hard-part protection.
