Nice stiff boots, need breaking in, (4/5 for comfort) because of stiffness, not made for walking, my feet should survive a reasonable crash in these. FAST buckles, wear your protection gear, be safe, God Bless.

I agree with the first reviewer. This is a great boot for an enduro type rider. If you ride hardcore MX or rugged, rocky, single track terrain, they may not be beefy enough for you. I got these for dual sport riding and they look, feel, and fit great. They fit true to size...I'm an 8 to 8 1/2 and got the 9 and it is just a touch big on me.

How flexible is the ankle area of this boot?

I am wondering about the amount of ankle momevent that is possible when wearing this boot. I understand that mx boots are made stiff/rigid for a reason but I'm curious if these are flexible enough for street riding? Flexible enough for ankle movement for proper shifting on a street bike?

These boots should be used for MX only. They will not provide the necessary flexibility or clearance to work with the shift and brake pedals of a streetbike. It would not be safe to use them other than for MX.2 weeks, 4 days ago

I find the ankle flex of this boot to be adequate for street riding. I don't think I'd wear them on a sport bike but if you ride a dual sport or dirt bike, then they work great.Age: 45-54

The Gaerne SG-12 boots are for motocross/off road use. Buy a pair of street boots for the street. Guess they would work on a drag bike with air shift. lol1 month ago
