Olympia X-Moto Pants

Designed to coordinate with Olympia's X-Moto and GT jackets, this style can be worn as a stand alone riding pant or as full over pant. It’s “Mega Vent Panel System” allows it to transition from solid body, to adjustable airflow construction in seconds, while front thigh vent panels lay flat when placed into self storage pockets. An authentic Cordura® shell with 2000 denier Cordura® reinforcement insures maximum abrasion resistance. Two front zipper pockets and two rear snap pockets offer extra storage for personal items. Foul weather rides are never a problem as these pants are also equipped with a waterproof / breathable liner that can be worn as  wearable stand alone pants. Adjustable knee armor positions, stretch waist panels and EZ hem bottoms help riders achieve a customized fit.

Knee pads are useless. I've had the pants about 6 months now and put about 4,000 miles on them. I really love the pants fit and comfort and they work great in the rain. However, the knee pads are useless. When standing around they cover the knee nicely, but when you go and sit on your bike the knee pads shift inward and only cover the inside of your knee, leaving the front side and outside that your going to fall on unprotected. I had to unstich the knee pad pockets and move them over so they cover correctly. As for sizing I use them as over pants when I commute. I'm 5'10" 220lb and wear a 36x32 jean. I had to get a size 40 for them to fit comfortably over my pants. Also when you get them hemmed ($65) make sure your tailor/dry cleaner measures you sitting on the bike or sitting in a similar fashion. This being my first pair of motorcycle pants I didn't know that so they measured with me standing up, now when I ride my pants are about 4" too short. Sucks a lot in the winter and rain but I'll live. April 8, 2014
perfect for wide temp ranges Decent airflow for warm temps, but you will sweat at low speeds when it's sunny and above 80F. With all the liners in I was fine to 40F and lower speeds, needed more layers for highway and colder. Pants fit true to size so if using in cold weather with liner in and over pants, it'll feel tight and mine didn't buckle but wore fine. Only wish the outer layer was totally waterproof without the liner, as it gets pretty heavy when wet. April 7, 2014
Buyers Remorse I really hate to leave a less than excellent review and I am really hard to displease, BUT I cannot seem to bring myself to like these pants. I do not like how the buttons unsnap at the waste when sitting and bending down to click up my boots, the knee and hip protectors are less than stellar, the lower cuffs are waaaaaaay too long and require one to locate a taylor for a "custom fit", they fit way small so get a bigger size if you get these pants, and the worst of all the lower cuffs are so tight they DO NOT fit over my MX boots even though the features of the pant say they will. Bogus. I guess I shouldn't be surprised from a lower priced pant. I should've went high line, but tried to go on the cheap. My fault 100%. March 31, 2014
Great pants, have a smaller fit I'm 220 lbs 5' 10''. I'm wearing 36 size jeans. I have bought 36 size pants and they fit very tight. So I recommend to buy 1 size up as it was mentioned in review by Antony. I took last one from clearens so I have no option to change. But despite the fit i decided to keep them cause in terms of functionality they are great. Perfect ventilation and protection! I recommend them! March 24, 2014
Great product for the price These pants are worth every dollar! I have only been riding in these pants for a couple months, they have been great from 30 degrees to 60 degrees so far. Great quality pants! March 17, 2014
Nice pants with great features These pants are made exceptionally well and have many features that I was looking for. I look forward to using these pants for many years to come. They offer great protection and are very comfortable. March 17, 2014
Olympia exceeded my expectations. The fit, finish, features, and ease of use of this Olympia product has set a new standard for me. The pants also have hip pads (not shown in the video). I was very happy to see those. These are tough stuff! February 24, 2014
Great bang for the buck Purchased these pants on a closeout to complement the Olympia Ranger pants I now have. The Rangers are a bit too warm for Florida spring and summer riding. The side zip is much easier to use but is not waterproof. The included rain liner is quick to put on and does not require securing to the pants to use it. Pluses are the adjustable knee armor and hem-able bottom cuffs. I haven't tested them yet in the full summer heat but I'm confident that they will be an improvement on the Rangers and Dariens I've worn in the past. If you can still get these on closeout jump on them. January 27, 2014

Andrew S: Chose to complement my Oly Nomad jacket, with an eye to buying an X-Moto jacket for cooler temps & touring. These are very long..unless you have supermodel legs plan on hemming. They tout "adjustable fit" but it's a business decision not to mfg/inventory tall sizes IMO which leaves most people paying for alterations. Not a big deal I guess. Pants seem very sturdy & versatile. Venting works pretty well and would be great with a vent below the knee. I found the knee armor very hot above 85F. Aug 9, 2013
A shopper asked: Is it possible to replace the EVA foam in the hips with actual armor? If so, what fits in the pocket? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Feb 19, 2014

Brent S: Have not replaced any pad as is a summer riding pant for me. If I remember they are replaceable in hips and knees. Great riding pant and would/will buy again. Feb 19, 2014

Frederick E W: Yes, the hip memory foam is replaceable, but I am not sure what fits. It is a large pad, about the size of a knee pad, so almost anything should be fine Feb 19, 2014

Roy R: Yes, the hip foam is removeable. What will fit I have no idea the pocket for the hip foam is about 9 inches deep and 5 inches wide. Feb 19, 2014

Austin F asked: Do these pants connect with the Olympia AST 2 Jacket? Thanks. Jan 16, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Frederick E W: Yes, all Olympia gear uses the same connection zipper. However, be warned that these pants are not very warm. I have both these and the Ranger pants, and the Rangers are a much better compliment to the AST Jan 16, 2014

Austin F: Ordered these 2 minutes before your response and quickly rescinded my order after finding this out. Thank you so much! Jan 16, 2014
Frank G: Both come with a zipper but I haven 't used it. I really like this set up for long distance and cold weather. I just haven't felt the need to zip them together as the coat is long enough and the pants big enough to overlap enough. Jan 16, 2014

Paula R: Thanks for sharing that link. I have seen that suit, and it's close, but the combination of features that really attract me to the X-Moto pants is:

1) large mesh panels (think off road in 100+ degree weather). I also like the idea of the leather on the inside, but it's not a deal maker/breaker.
2) the mesh can be closed off from the outside (I'm probably, errr, unique, but I've never found using a liner works as well as simply closing the mesh from the outside, so for me, other mesh items simply won't work. I would likely have the mesh closed most of the time, (except for situation number 1, so I like the option of the better abrasion protection when having them closed, too.)
3) Full length leg zip - quick and easy commuting pant!

That being said, I do like the Rev'it gear, because it's smaller, and I do like the option of full-c zipper.
The Rev'it jacket looks nice - mesh that you can cover up from the outside! Yay!, (not to mention what seems like better abrasion protection overall). If I was in the market, I'd definitely be looking at that...

And, solely for purposes of discussion: I don't really understand the concept of having the waterproof liner on the inside of gear. In rain, you might be dry, but your jacket is heavy, cold, clammy and going to take a while to dry, depending. Plus who wants to stand in the rain, take off the jacket, insert the liner... blah blah? I'll take my outer rain suit any day.

Just putting my thoughts out there. Can't be heard if you don't speak! And yes, I'll admit I'm picky. Hard to part with good money on something that doesn't quite suit your needs.
Thanks for doing what you do - I think your videos are a great tool!

Jacket Size Guidelines
We suggest you use these size charts as a general guide. Variables in weight distribution and height may alter the appropriate size range indicated. As a general rule Olympia Jackets are designed in America, with an "American" body in mind. As such, you will find that Olympia tend to fit more generously then European brands (such as REV'IT!, Dainese, Alpinestars and Spidi). If you are in between sizes, we recommend to you to err on the smaller side.

Pant Sizing Guidelines
Olympia pants fit true to size. If you intend on using them as over pants, please go one size up.

Inseam Lengths
Olympia pants are cut with generous inseams to accommodate various riding positions. Olympia EZ hem bottoms (can be hemmed up to six inches) and adjustable knee armor help riders achieve a custom fit
