Nolan N85 Vortex Helmet
Great features on this helmet and, options.
Would have to say for my first helmet purchase, others were bought for me, this is a really good one. After the initial break-in had a little tightness in the cheeks still but, a simple and easy cheek pad swap fixed that. Now have good comfort and fit.

Good value and feature packed
I bought this on closeout and am happy so far with it. First the good, It is lightweight, has many excellent features (flip down visor is used daily and I LOVE the ratchet chin strap system!) and vents air very well.
The negatives (not really bad just being nit picky) are to keep costs down only one shell size is used. The helmet is light but it feels large for my small/medium sized head. It is a tight fit to get on my head but once it's on there is too much space inside. It is not snug enough. At 90+ mph the helmet flows so much air it starts to pull away from my head and tug my chin strap. It is fine for normal speeds but up to 135 mph it pulls really hard trying to come off.
The vision isn't very good in my opinion. I have to turn my head very far to see behind me.
And finally it's not SNELL certified to the best of my knowledge. Not a deal breaker but I like the added security.
Is it perfect? No. Should you buy it? Absolutely. For the money this is an outstanding helmet.
Also, the included pin lock insert wasn't in my box and Revzilla took care of it no questions asked.

Light, robust, simple and well-fitting if not a bit tight. I have a Schuberth C3, which is better made, but not by much. If you compare the N85 with the C3, the liner is better in the C3 and it just feels a little more robust. But the N85 is very close, and the integrated visor is far better than the C3's. The N85 is also much lighter, and the pin lock and visor is every bit as good as the C3's. The visor lock takes more attention to make sure its in right after removal for cleaning, than the C3. If I had to choose between the N85 and the C3 I'd go for the C3 but just barely, and if money is the deciding factor I'd go for the N85. Its become my favorite helmet. The N85 is an awesome helmet, and its "%100 Made In Italy" according to all sources I can find on the web.

I got this to replace my old EXO 1000 that got in a fight with some asphalt. This helmet is much lighter and has a much larger field of vision than the EXO, and the chinstrap is awesome.I am really pleased with this helmet and am surprised at how well it breathes even when it is in the 90s. This helmet is a bit loud though but Irecently started wearing earplugs (sometimes) when I ride so that is becoming a non issue.

This is a great helmet for the price. I'm in love with the vps because I've always hated fumbling with sun glasses while wearing a helmet so this eliminates that. The air flow through the helmet is fair and wind noise is pretty low as well. I also love the ratcheting chin strap which makes putting the helmet on and taking it off even easier and faster.

Love this helmet
This helmet is fantastic! My only gripe is that sometimes the sun visor on the inside comes off track, but moving the slider on the side of the helmet up and down a few times usually fixes the problem. Really happy with my purchase.
