over all ok
only problem is I feel this helmet was anothers return. the liner doesn't stay in place by it's self. already had to add velcro to make the front stay in place. About ready to order a whole new liner to see if it sits better.

A little pricey, but a very nice helmet
Ultimately, I think this helmet should be about $100 cheaper, but it is a very nice helmet. For $650 it should have came with a tinted faceshield as well as a clear one.

Get a better SHOEI, AGV or ARAI for the money.
I finally got to test one of these out, I was always curious if I could shave some weight from my RF-1100. I was disappointed.
Its as heavy as any of the good helmets (it probably seems light to the el-cheapo that most people are upgrading from). Its nowhere near the advertised weight and is within 100g of my SHOEI, which actually costed me a hair less.
Now, here is the kicker. The SHOEI looks and feels like it was built to last well beyond the warranty and has been certified to virtually every additional safety rating available. Its quieter, has better vents and the overall build quality is night and day compared to NEXX. They (meaning the 3 higher end helmets listed above) use more shell sizes, meaning you don't get a massive dome on your head like this one. The visors have real mechanisms instead of just a screw. I could go on, the pads are better. Ummm, better provisions for intercom...
I guess the one thing this has over those is you can say "OMG CARBON!" and youd look a bit less of a weirdo compared to someone who didnt have visible weave on their helmet.
So, unless you want to spend as much as or more money to get a vastly inferior helmet but maybe (if you have the right sized head) save 100g of weight then go for it. Otherwise go with the big dogs, they have been doing it longer and it shows in the final product.

Best Helmet that I have ever owned!!!
Cant speak highly enough about this Helmet!!
The day after I got it I took off on about a 800 mile weekend ride with some friends.
Best piece of riding gear I have ever Had!, No neck pain, Best view of any Fullface that I have seen,
this Helmet is as light or lighter than the "brain Bucket" novelty Helmets.
I dont ride a sport bike I ride a cruiser "Harley" and even sitting up tall with no windshield no neck strain, now granted I am have not gone much over 90 mph with this on, but I rarely would.
Summary Best Helmet I have owned or seen!! dont know what could make it better?
as a few other people said yea wind noise is about the same as any Fullface Helmet I have used, but I use ear plugs when ever I ride anyways so no problems!
Money well well spent!!

NEXX Carbon XR1R **(with Red accents)** Medium**
This is the lightest helmet I have ever owned. if you are looking for something Light, Confortable, Huge Peripheral View and Stylish ... look no further THIS IS IT !
Where ever you go you will always get good compliments about this helmet starting from day one so get used to hearing the words : DAMM, Super Light, Stylish, Sick etc ... (LOL) !
Also this helmet includes some extra pads to fill any spots in the helmet that may feel slightly open (as nobody's head is perfectly shaped) which makes a PLUS to obtain an almost perfect snug fit !
Price? Well I put it like this: If you think you can get something cheaper is on you but don't expect to perform as close to any of those helmets in thee range of $500 & above. As the saying goes: You get what you pay for !!!
Conclusion: In the case that you don't know your true fit or the proper helmet you should ALWAYS feel free to ask any of their staff members and they would be pleased to help you. Unlike other retail stores they will give you a range of helmets to choose from regardless of price and at the end you can make the final decision. I like the fact that they don't push you to buy a certain kind but only the proper helmet for your driving application.
A++ REVZILLA ROCKS!

Great helmet for the price
This is an excellent helmet for the price. Sizing is a bit strange. I'm usually right between L and XL. I could not even fit L on my head, however XL feels large. XL uses a larger shell, so it feels and looks much larger, and is also heavier. However, due to the larger shell, the field of vision is HUGE!
-Looks great in any colour/design you pick.
-Very light
-Excellent lining, very comfortable and great materials.
-HUGE filed of vision! Larger than any other helmet I have. Love that.
-Visor is a pain to remove/install.... I like to take it off regularly to clean, and it takes only a few minutes (and you can use a coin to remove it, quarter works fine, a screwdriver is not required) to remove/replace, but I wish it was easier.
-It is LOUD compared to my other helmets. Earplugs are a must at all times for me with this one. Louder than Shoei and Arai helmets I own. I might be a little spoiled riding a lot with Schubert C3, which is very quiet.
-Excellent ventilation. However, even with all vent's closed air is coming in from the bottom. Great in warm weather, not so much when it's cold! I was able to tame it with a scarf or bandana... Works great in warm weather :-)
-Aerodynamically it could be better, I get a lot of "head-shake" at speed with this one compared to Shoei/Schuberth helmets. I ride a naked BMW R1200R and I only use a tall windshield on long rides. WIthout the windshield the head is in nice clean wind, and Schuberth is quiet and stable at all times, Shoei likes to go straight but doesn't like head turning left/right so much and tries to lift at high speeds. This helmet feels stable at moderate speeds, but starts to wobble at higher speeds. Since there is no buffeting from fairing/windshield, this is obviously due to the aerodynamics of it. Not a deal breaker, but on a long ride it can be tiring in stronger winds. On motorcycles with windshields this could be quite different. I avoid windshields since they send all the air straight into my helmet (I'm 6') creating noise and buffeting. Always annoyed me on sport bikes, and if it sends air into the helmet I'd rather not have it at all. I wonder if a smaller shell for those wearing smaller sizes would be better (?).
-Shield optics are excellent, not distortion to speak of.
-Pinlock works great to keep it fog free.
-I wish there was an internal sun visor like on Schubert
-Fits round oval, so if you're more of an oval shaped check it well first.
-I like the reflective inserts in the padding, works great for added visibility at night
-Finish is great, had no problems so far
-It's not as light as I expected it to be
-The regular XR1R is the same except a bit heavier, my girlfriend likes that one very much (doesn't care for the carbon one) and it comes in a lot more finishes if that's something you're interested in
Overall, great value for the money, an "affordable" lightweight carbon helmet. Not on par with Arai/Shoei/Schuberth high end helmets, but a great helmet never the less.

Very light with a great viewing port.
When my wife picked up the box at the door she thought it must be empty! No, there was a helmet inside! Looks great. The helmet is a little costly for not having a built in visor. It is much nosier than I had hoped for but nothing a set of good ear plugs can't handle.

Faulty design and bad customer service
I bought this helmet last year
1. Few months after it fell from my motorcycle seat which is not even 1.5 feet high and the helmets carbon layer came off from 2-3 places. It is so fragile. Now it will only get worse because the water will go inside and damage it further.
2. The mouth air vent came off and there is no replace part for that. I don't understand why they have made such a cheap vent?
3. The rear bottom vents are like metallic mesh and few months after I bought the helmet these mesh are coming off the helmet and getting deteriorated.
