Great Hybrid!
I live in Louisiana so even our winters are warm sometimes. I was looking for a jacket to offer protection, comfort and air flow. I really like this jacket. My other leather jackets are very stiff and not as comfortable as a textile or mesh product. This jacket makes me feel very safe with the leather over most of the jacket, but the addition of the mesh on the front of the arms and shoulders really makes this jacket much more flexible and comfortable in my opinion compared to a solid leather jacket. The fit and finish is great as with almost all of Joe Rocket's products. Definitely happy with my choice.

A great jacket for a great price
This jacket was a lot better than I thought it would be considering the price. It worked well on the freeway (70mph) keeping me warm and feeling protected and kept me cool as well on the freeway. The jacket itself is one of the heavier jackets I have looked at giving me a little more peace of mind and this jacket also is loaded with features. So all in all I would definitively recommend this jacket.

My new favorite jacket
I bought this jacket and have been using it for ~2 weeks, and I have to say I love it. I've ridden in 38 degree nights on my bike with no wind screen and have ridden it up to 75 degree sunny days (still hasn't gotten too warm yet) with the full liner in and have been thrilled with how well it works. I was cold at 38 degrees, but it did a more than adequate job of keeping me warm enough to be safe but I have a fairly high tolerance for cold. At 75 it still did great and was more than cool enough. I would assume that once the liner is out, it will handle hot weather just as well as it does cold.
The fit is great,I measured my chest to be ~39 with a deep breath and ordered a 42, which fits great and has room for a hoodie under it (though it does get fairly snug with something that thick). I'm ~5'10" ~170 lbs and the length and arms are spot on.
The only negatives would be that the outside pockets are pretty tight and I have a hard time getting my hands in/out of them, so I don't use them. Also if the coat isn't sitting right, the neck piece can dig into my throat some. But with some adjusting the problem goes away.
All in all, I would recommend this coat highly. Very sharp looking, feels very solid, and handles a wide range of temperatures well.

Awesome jacket! Wish it had more hidden pockets is all..
This jacket doesnt cease to amaze me. I am 5'10" with 44" chest and a 34" waist so I taper from top to bottom. This jacket has a great fit. The mesh on the front keeps my body temperature just right. On cooler mornings here in Houston, I would zip up the liner and on the warmer afternoons, I would remove it for the ride home. Very easy to secure the 8" zipper to the pants as well. The worst part of this jacket is cleaning all the dead bugs out of the shoulder vents! haha

Great look and great price
I love the look of this jacket, and it's very comfortable. Also love that it has belt loops so the jacket stays down during riding.

Awesome jacket!
I have owned this now for 6 months and don't like to review anything without really testing anything. I live in Arizona where temps easily get 115 during summer and even hotter on the roads. I am 6'7 and where size 54. This jacket had amazing air flow and did a great jobs of keeping me cool while on the move. I did not have to sacrifice any protection because of the leather impact area's as well as removable armor. Very well made and nothing has yet to break or show wear. Removable liner is nice for when it gets cold during winter here but other then that I don't use it. I like the belt hoops on the bottom of the jacket so that you can attach to a belt so no plumber crack. Also like the 8 inch zip to attack to my textile pants when I wear them. I would also like to mention the side adjustable straps help keep the jacket nice and snug around the waist. Would also like to mention there is an inside pocket on the left side of the jacket which is a good place for your phone if you use it for music with ear buds.The armor does make the jacket weight more; However, the design helps to keep noticing the armor minimal. Easy to clean as well. I just throw it in gentle cycle without soap with cold water. While damp I apply saddle soap and then gentle buff with dry towel. (Do not dry clean or use dryer) Overall great product for all 4 seasons in Arizona. Highly recommended!

Excellent 3 season jacket
I was looking for a good first three season jacket with the protection of leather but with the airflow of mesh. I settled on the Joe Rocket Radar Dark jacket, and I am not disappointed.
The sizing is true to size, and fits exactly how it should. With the liner in though, i don't expect to be able to wear much more than a thin shirt underneath, so size up if you plan on wearing additional layers underneath.
The RevZilla video shows a large hump on the back of the jacket, which I believe is an old model. The 2011 model does not have this hump, and is styled in a very low key aggressive styling.
I'm happy with this jacket, and I feel safe and protected whenever I'm wearing it. I'm glad I got it.

really good summer jacket
I rode with this jacket for two weeks before i wrote this review.
It replaced my joe rocket sonic perforated jacket.First off the fit is spot on, it fits well and with a little waist adjustment it's good. Compared to the sonic, this jacket is lighter and has more airflow. Now i live in Texas and its get hot here, real hot, and with this jacket I get plenty of airflow, leaving me cooler.
This jacket also gives you more flexibility than a regular leather jacket you are able to move your arm around more, even with the adjustable forearms. You can actually touch the middle of you back with it on. Those of you with leather jacket know what i mean.
This jacket has armor plates in it and they stay in place and don't seem to move around which is a plus. But i never went down to test them and hope i never have to.
Now its a good jacket but there are several quirks about it,
On thing is the arm seem to fit 1/2 to long on me, but it may be just me and me t-rex arms.
It comes with a liner, totally useless It wont keep you dry or warm, if you buy it your gonna hang the liner up and forget about it.
Now this is me first actual textile/mesh jacket even though i say only 40% isn't leather, as Ive only own leather jackets. But at speeds it feel like it balloons up around the torso. You cant see it
but it feels like it, just something i notice, but not a real problem.
This jacket is the best bang for you buck, even with the little quirks, you'll enjoy the summer heat all day long with it.
