Joe Rocket Radar Dark Leather Jacket
Great Jacket But Small
I measure exactly 42 so bought a 42
The chest and shoulders feel good, however the arms are pretty small. I am athletic and do lift, but don't have a giant arms. Other than that the jacket is great.

Great jacket for Summer
I'm 6'1" and 185 lbs with fairly long arms and a 42 inch chest. I got size 44 so that the arms would be the right length, and they are perfect for me. The jacket is a little loose in the chest area, as anticipated, but that works out well so that I can wear a thin fleece jacket underneath in the spring and fall seasons when under about 60 F. I got it at the beginning of last year’s season, and it’s been a wonderful jacket for me. I got it because it fulfilled my desire for a jacket that would flow plenty of air, be comfortable to wear, and leather in the right areas for protection. It is absolutely awesome in the heat with all the air flowing through the mesh portions. I'm very comfortable while moving at any reasonable temp, and comfortable even at stoplights up to the high 80's. I wear the inner liner below 73 F or so, and it does a great job blocking wind chill. With the liner in, and an additional thermal type jacket underneath, I can comfortably ride in town down to about 45 degrees as well. The only concerns that I have with it are how well it would hold up in a serious crash at the interfaces between the leather and the mesh, and that the leather would remain in the right places to protect elbows/arms.

I'm 5' 11'', 42'' chest, 32'' waist, and I bought a size 42. Fit is great throughout and there's plenty of room for chest armor and upgraded back armor. I live in central Wisconsin and I'm usually very comfortable wearing this without the liner during summer and early fall. Haven't had a fall yet so I can't say how protective this will be but it sure seems to mean well in this department.

great value for the price
Needed a medium weight jacket for So. Cal. weather. Comfort range so far is 45-85 degrees. Liner out above 70 degrees and air-flow was good. Jacket is comfortable and the elbow and shoulder pads are not obtrusive. All around good deal for the bucks.

Love this Jacket
I gave this jacket 5 stars across the board. I really tried not to but this jacket does what it's supposed to do really well and I'm very happy with it after wearing it every day for almost two months.
Bang for the buck, there's no other jacket on the market that is a leather/textile hybrid that provides this kind of protection at this price point.
As far as style goes, I think it's a great looking jacket. The branding is subtle and the leather/textile placement gives it a stylish look so it more than just functional. There is a version of this jacket that has the speed hump on the back, which I'm not a fan of so I'm glad the "Radar Dark" comes sans hump.
This is a moto jacket so the comfort level is very good when used as intended. The jacket fits the body in a natural riding position. I bought a size smaller than my normal jacket size as I wanted a tighter fit and I don't regret it at all.
For protection, the leather is placed everywhere you need it and nowhere it's not needed, making acceptable concessions for textile placement for a cooler ride. There is CE rated elbow protection with straps on the outside of the jack that hold them in place. The back protector is just foam so I upgraded to a Klim D3O Viper T5 Pro Back Protector that is level 2 CE rated. With this jacket, I feel I am protected as I need to be and don't really think safety is compromised in any way.
There are mesh jackets that move more air, but I'm relatively happy with the amount of airflow allowed in this jacket design. I live in Los Angeles so I'm always riding in warm weather. In stop and go traffic and at red lights it gets a little warm (obviously) but when I'm moving, even at just 35mph, there is enough airflow through the jacket to keep it comfortable.

Great value hybrid jacket
I had an aging textile Joe Rocket jacket that I had inherited when I purchased my first street bike back in 2006 (which at that time the Joe Rocket was used and beat up) so I decided to look for an upgrade. Since I was looking at buying a new jacket, I expanded my search to leather jackets. For me, I am used to the fit and finish of the Joe Rocket jackets. I have not yet gone down, so I can not speak for the durability and protection in the event of an accident (but I hope it is good & that I never have to test it).
I was looking at new textile jackets and decided to check out if there were any leather jackets in my price range. Since it can get hot in the Northern VA, DC, MD area, I decided to look at perforated leather jackets and hybrid leather jackets. It came down between the Joe Rocket Sonic Perforated and the Joe Rocket Radar Dark. I went with the Radar Dark because it has the airflow panels and belt loop straps that I could use on a longer ride. So far it has been great. It fits well, has a great extent of adjustability, and feels very solid. I'll have to see how well it does when it i sa little cooler outsid (using the liner). I would highly recommend since it is an affordable option.

I live in Louisiana so even our winters are warm sometimes. I was looking for a jacket to offer protection, comfort and air flow. I really like this jacket. My other leather jackets are very stiff and not as comfortable as a textile or mesh product. This jacket makes me feel very safe with the leather over most of the jacket, but the addition of the mesh on the front of the arms and shoulders really makes this jacket much more flexible and comfortable in my opinion compared to a solid leather jacket. The fit and finish is great as with almost all of Joe Rocket's products. Definitely happy with my choice.
