Really wish the waistband had some kind of softer material, it is rough on your skin and it isn't much better with a shirt tucked in. The pants do ventilate well though. Size wise, the knee pads do not fit over my knees very well, I may be a little tall for the size I purchased.

The 2.0 2XL short was too small in the waist, so ordered the 3.0 3XL short. Pros: Differences (3.0). Jacket-connect zipper now on the inside which improves appearance. Hip pads larger. Waist adjustment belts have longer velcro with smaller grab tabs. (The 2.0's large rubber tabs prevented full adjustment.) Wide elastic bands now at waist back. Mesh weave wider, softer, repositioned. Two snaps and heavier fly cover. Thigh pockets instead of slash. (Better to get jabbed there than on pelvic bone.) Heat resistant material inside lower leg. Velcro bottom adjustment. All good changes. Cons: Baggy on me. Not double-stitched everywhere. However, bar-tacked appropriately. Overall: good over-pant for hot weather riding..
Yes, I recommend this product.

Im 6'0,195, 33/32 jeans, and the Large fit perfect! Waist is comfy, leg is long enough to just cover over my shoes when riding. I was surprised to see so much mesh and wondered if these would vent well but also keep the cold out...and at 45 this morning,it was a great 20min. ride to work!(couldnt even tell it was cold outside) I was amazed.
Knee pads were in a good position while standing or riding and the velcro and tall side zippers made taking it on/off very quick. My use is mostly for trips to work or typical street riding and i like the added layer that keeps the cold air out and a little extra protection when on my zx14.

These pants do run on the small side (even for an overpant). I had ordered a Large size but had to return it for an X-Large. First time I ever had to return a product to Revzilla, but the process was easy. They fit nicely with my Joe Rocket Honda jacket.

I'm 5'11", 260lbs and wear 42x30 pants normally.
ordered the 3X short based on the sizing and theres no way theyll fit over a normal pair of jeans.
unfortunate because I really liked the features and price.
returned and ordered a different brand because the 4x only comes in 34" inseam with no good way to shorten

The pants are nice and airy but I haven't been able to ride in really hot weather yet. They are basic Joe Rocket pants so if you like there products you will like these. My biggest complaint is the knee pads. They are nice when standing but I didn't buy the pants for walking. While on my motorcycle and knees bent the knee pads are on my upper thighs there is about one inch folding over on my knee's. Who modeled these when they placed the knee pads??? Basically I tried to turn the pads upside down but still no luck and defeats the safety. I am basically going to have to sow my own pockets for the knee pads. Also when I received them one belt loop was broke I sowed it back and the Joe Rocket logo is already coming off. Basically you get what you pay for but I have needle and thread so all is good.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've been riding in these for a couple of weeks now in moderate desert heat (80-90 degrees, no humidity). I got them to wear over my workout shorts to go the gym, and over scrubs to go to work. They flow a ton of air, and offer way more protection than a pair of jeans. But then again, they should offer more protection because that is why we buy them!
The knee pads have two different height pockets to be placed in, neither of which fit me (5'10", 180 pounds, short waisted). The in-hand description of the fabrics? Pretty thin. But if you're looking at these you are probably willing to compromise a little abrasion resistance for the excellent airflow. Summary? These pants perform well, but if I were looking again, I'd go with something that offers a bit more protection. But then again, it isn't summer yet here, so suffering with less ventilation in 100 degree plus temps doesn't sound too "cool..."

I ride an 06 GSXR-750 weigh about 180 lbs, 5' 10" athletic build and wear jeans that are 34" waist 32" inseam. I ordered the XL so I could wear them as an over pant for when I wear shorts or jeans. For that they work wonderfully. They pull over easy and once tightened up they fit nice and snug. Only thing that sucks about the XL is they are a tad long without boots on. If you are walking in your house with them they will drag and you may step on them a bit. I avoid this by just putting them on right before I head out for a ride. Hip pads seem sufficient and the knee pads have a slight adjustment that should work for everyone. I really like the front thigh zipper pockets. Great airflow, haven't worn them in hot weather yet. There is no access to pockets underneath since these were designed to be worn on their own.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Yes, this will zip to the jacket without a problem. Unless your Alter Ego Jacket has been bleached in the sun for a few seasons, this should match the coloring fine.
