Joe Rocket Phoenix 3.0 Pants
I've wore this overpants several times since I received them. Several long trips in them. They wear comfortably. I wore demin shorts underneath them & once I arrived at destination I took off the over pants. My only real issue is that their a little long. I don't believe they can be hemmed. The velcro straps aren't long enough to tighten the legs up enough around my boots to keep the legs from dragging. Otherwise I am planning on purchasing another pair.

Stitching could be better
I bought these basicall because no one else makes riding gear for big riders. Problem is that they are waaaaay to long! If your 6ft 8 then these will be fine if your 6ft then plan on walking all over them. Worn them 5 times and stitching has come loose in crotch area. Not very happy with quality! But had basically no choice of anything else to buy so oh well. If you can find something that fits your size i recommend not buying these, If not then this discription is what you will get!

I like these pants - good protection, good fit, looks. But in the summer I get too hot and take them off. They do as good as they can - they seem tough and would help if I were to lay it down. But, if it gets in the 90's I'm going back to me jeans.

Great pants for the price
I was looking for summer riding pants with decent protection, good quality, and a couple of convenience features, for less than $180. I already had 3-season pants (also bought from Revzilla), but they weren't cutting it in the mid-south heat and humidity. Found it right here.
I'm 6'-0", 195 lbs., normally wear 36 x 32 jeans, ordered the XL size, and the fit is perfect. Even if it isn't, the adjustable waist takes care of it #one of the features I wanted#. The knee armor sits in the right place, the hip padding is larger than my other pants. I've put about 1000 miles on them and don't see any signs of quality problems - no seams opening, textile unraveling, zippers breaking.
Leg zippers are another key feature to me - I like to wear shorts underneath and be able to strip my pants off at extended stops. Whereas some pants have knee-high zippers #which seems useless# and some go to the hip #very functional#, these go up to mid-thigh, which is 'adequate' but requires just a little patience to take off over boots. There are a couple of intermediate Velcro patches to secure the flap over the zipper, which is just an annoyance. IMO they should have put in 12" more zipper and left the Velcro off.
I don't like that Joe Rocket uses their own brand name of fabric and rating that you can't compare directly to a denier rating, but I watched a fellow rider go down and her Joe Rocket gear did its job without a scratch on her, so it must be okay.
Revzilla also did an awesome job shipping them out the first business day, and their video reviews make all the difference in buying decisions.

Best vented pants out there
Really like these pants. Extremely high quality and they look and fit great. Air flow is pretty good - better than any other I've tried. Even at 105+ I was comfortable

Affordable, versatile and stylish protection for the summer.
I had been looking for a pair of riding pants for months! I'm an ATGATT rider but my kevlar jeans were too thick for the brutal south Texas summers! My research kept bringing me back to the Joe Rocket Phoenix 3.0 pants; mainly because they appeared to provide excellent value for money. They have not disappointed so far. I'm 5'11, approx 200 lbs with a 36" waist; I ordered the 38 per the size chart recommendation. Fit was perfect! Using them as standalone pants now, but will use them as overpants in the cooler months. They are comfortable and the waist and cuff adjustment is great. Once the side of the pant leg was opened up a bit, I could easily get them on over my Cortech Latigo boots. Hip pads are non intrusive to me. I've left them in and have no plans to remove. Knee/shin armor is solid and remains in place while riding. I imagine they'd shift a bit in a get off, but something in the area is better than nothing. The pants breathe very well. I decided to take my first ride in them on a 103° 89% humidity, pleasant San Antonio afternoon (!!) The generous mesh perforation moved a lot of air; even in that heat! Comfort factor (vs. my kevlar jeans) went way up! I was wearing athletic underwear under the pants. I wore them all day and experienced no comfort issues. Can't coment on durability (too new) or protection as I haven't crashed in them; nor do I have any plans to ;-) They do feel to be solidly built though; including the impact area textile panels. Only gripe is the lack of side pockets to access your jeans (if worn as an overpant) but the front leg pockets are very spacious and convenient. Overall, l highly recommend them for purchase. Great job Joe Rocket ...and team RevZilla!

Great Pants for the price!!
These are perfect for throwing on over a set of shorts or pants. I ordered my regular size, and they come fitted to go over other pants. I have worn these with only boxers, and they're a bit baggy, but not bad at all. Plenty of ventilation too! For the price, these are great! I haven't gone down in these, so cant say how durable during a crash they would be, but the fabric seems tough.
