Great jacket!
Excellent jacket for the price. Fit is not exactly as the chart says. Just order what you normally wear in most jackets. I wear a large in an AXO and a large in the Joe Rocket was a perfect fit. (5'10", 195 lbs. semi-athletic, 42 chest, 34-36 waist)

Air flow for summer is excellent. It has a vest style quilted liner that does not extend down the arms so I could really feel the air flow through the arms. I would not recommend for cold fall riding in lower 40 degree temps.

Arms are fairly tight so if you have huge muscles try one on first. Armor is top notch. I emailed Joe Rocket and they got right back to me with pictures of the internal armor.

This has it all. Zipper for attaching pants, belt loops for your belt, adjustable waist as well as arms. Zippers for air flow in biceps, chest and back area.

The one and only negative is that the neck snap is not adjustable and I can't get it as tight as I would like.

Awesome jacket!!
This is probably the best jacket your can get for the money. Has leather in the important spots and huge vents for when it's hot. I wear it in 35 degree weather with a hoodie underneath and in 80 degree weather with the vents open. Awesome year round jacket and always comfortable. Joe Rocket always makes a good product!

Great looking jacket
I am 5'9 with a 40 inch chest. 165 lbs. i have a medium, plenty of room. Arms are definetly long enough when streched out on bike. if you have thick arms this jacket will be tight on arms. I really love this comet jacket.

Great value for the price. Included CE elbow armor and spine pad. The airflow on this jacket is amazing. Doesn't feel like a jacket when riding in warmer weather. Would highly recommend to others.

Great Jacket, good fit, you won't be dissapointed
Looked at many jackets for summer riding (thought long and hard about the Cortech Sport 3.0 AIR . This was priced right and I like JR brands. I'm 190# and 5'10", jacket fit perfect. Also ordered the extra Forcefield spine protector (002) and it fit right in.

Only worn the jacket a few times already, but was exactly what I was looking for. Already have a mesh and a JR leather, but wanted something a little more protective for summer. Feels good, sleeves not too long, somewhat light weight. Also has the leather in the spots that need the extra protection if you go down.

Conclusion: mine fit great, right size, added the extra back projection.

Con: Wish it came with the extra back protection. But for a buck 85, got a good 3 season jacket. Will wear the full leather in winter.

Great style and function
This jacket is a great three season jacket in Montana. I like the style and cut, I think it fits well with my cruiser V-twin even though the cut of the jacket is sport bike. I bought the XL. I am 5'8" 185 muscular, 43" chest, 33" pant waist, 33-34 arm length, 17" neck. Jacket fits real nice on me. The arms are a bit long (about half inch), but if I extend my arms out front and zip the wrist everything pushes up into place and it is comfortable while riding. The waist fits well over my clothes; I thought it was going to be big, but the adjustable waist allows me to tighten it up tighter than I need. Currently riding with out the liner and vents zipped (2 chest, 2 rib and 2 back) in the morning (50s) and unzipped after work (90s). I got a great deal sale price around 140, so I am completely happy with the jacket, but if I had to give one down point it would be the back armor could be up graded (really a minor point). Although I previously rode in a sweatshirt and baseball hat, so the back pad is a huge up grade for me!

Great jacket I got on sale
I got this jacket on sale and it's great. It has tons of armor and a nice mix of leather and textile. The air flow is ok and without the liner the jacket's interior can be a little bit uncomfortable. Something with the mesh they used in there. I got used to it though. Great jacket that fit me good at XL (6'2" male) But I had to bring it all the way in at the waist.

Quality for the price. Looks great as well. Suitable for riding 10C to 20C degree weather. Otherwise gets hot even with the lining off and all zippered vents opened. Just ordered Joe Rocket's Velocity mesh jacket for the Australian summer. Will keep you posted.

I heard it was a comfy fit, that would work well in the summer and slightly chilly fall. The leather abrasion resistance was a major selling point, along with impact armor.

is this jacket rain proof?
A shopper on Apr 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'd say no. Light rain, for a short duration may be fine, but it's not a wet weather jacket.
I'm 5'9 41 inch chest, 160lbs, semi athletic. which size should i get?. I was thinking about the M
A shopper on Sep 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: So I am 6'2" 39" chest, wider shoulders, thinner arms. I tried a Large on in the store in another Joe Rocket jacket so ordered a large online. Promptly traded it for an XL when it came in and the XL fits perfectly. I suppose it depends on how tightly you want it to fit. I have a sport bike and I found the shoulders far too constrictive on the Large even off a bike. But, again, I tried a large on in a store and found it fit. I definitely have room in the chest with the XL -- could have gotten away with a large in that regard. Mostly shoulders and arm length.
Does this jacket suits a kind of sporty cruiser ? I am riding 2015 Vulcan S

BEST ANSWER: I would think so.
how to clean a Joe Rocket Comet jacket? is it machine washable as the inner label says "DO NOT DRY CLEAN
Trevelyn W on Jun 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have machine washed the zip out liner but only wiped down the outside with a rag and soap and water. The leather on the arms and shoulders would not do well in the washing machine.
Will the Tryonic See+ Back Protector item:825511 fit into the jacket??
Nader A on May 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure as I haven't replaced the original back pad, so I guess I'd like to know that as well.
Which model of the Revit back protector TRYOUNIC SEESOFT will fit this jacket ?
A shopper on May 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I measured the back protector in the jacket to be 18" tall by about 13.5" wide and it is shaped like a cross. The mesh holding it in is very tight to it so I would not exceed those measurements.
Hello, does someone know what's the approximate shipping weight for a medium size?, thanks
