Icon Variant Battlescar Helmet
My wife bought this helmet for me for Christmas... awesome looking, really comfortable, fits perfect(she used the size chart). Can't wait for spring to try it out, I'll give an update then.

Super comfortable to wear, hugs head/face just right so it's secure but you can still function normally. While it looks like a duel sport, it is definitely a street helmet.
Only small downfall I would say is that you have to get your glasses sitting just right or they get pushed a bit askew by the cheek pads. But with a little practice it's not that hard to do. I'm talking eyeglasses, though may be similar for sunglasses too.

Great Airflow... a bit too much! The visor does get whipped around at speed.
Great helmet... super comfortable! Great Airflow... a bit too much! The visor does get whipped around at speed. Up to about 40 mph is great... but after that if a bit too much. I ride a naked bike and you can really feel it at speed. Excellent styling... looks pretty sick!

Recently pulled the trigger on the now discontinued construct graphic and first impression was incredible. I upgraded from the Scorpion Exo 500 and the variant fits much more comfortably and vents much better. The field of vision is exceptional compared to my old helmet, and feels very light on my head. Overall very satisfied with it, and once again Revzilla was very helpful with the YouTube videos and customer support which is where my search started. This was my third purchase from Revzilla, and certainly won't be the last. Can't wait until I order the silver reflective shield to really pull all the style out of this helmet. Thanks again Revzilla.

Icon Needs to Fix the Face Shield Bolts
I've really enjoyed this helmet. The style is fantastic and looks great with the reflective face shield. This fits me better than pretty much any other helmet I've owned and I feel like it offers great protection.
However, I have one ENORMOUS gripe about this helmet... and it will echo what so many others have said. The method that Icon uses to attach/detach the face shield is COMPLETE GARBAGE. The face shield requires you to remove to cover plates and unscrew two bolts for removal. Not only does this take a decent amount of time to do, but the bolts are awful. The bolts are incredibly soft and if your hand slips once while screwing or unscrewing, it will completely strip the head of the bolt. Additionally, if you're like me (driving both during the day and night often) and you change your visor fairly regularly it won't be long before the threads on the soft bolt get folded together and bind up in your helmet. If you're lucky enough to get the bolt out, the threads both on the bolt and where the bolt screws in to will be completely destroyed. You can purchase a pivot kit which includes new bolts... But, unfortunately that won't do anything as the new bolts won't screw into the mangled threads on your helmet. So, enjoy the $400+ display piece for your shelf... unless, of course, you want to just remove the face shield completely and wear goggles.
Can't recommend this helmet until Icon fixes this HUGE ISSUE.

Overall, the icon variant is a great, stylish helmet
I was looking for an upgrade from my $50 helmet and something a little bit stylish. This helmet fits both of that category and more. The liners were really comfortable, the straps was better, and the aggressive look that it gives everytime I ride. This is really a great purchase for me cause it really is worth it.

Variant Helmet Matt Black
Few months ago I bought a Variant Helmet. Never saw one here in New Zealand. I just like the looked of it as I follow Miz Shift on YouTube and it does stand out from everything else even when you have a flash bike but people first point of view will be your head. When I first got it I had been pulled over more then I can ever count cause the cops never seen one. Never got a speeding tickets just wanna check out my helmet and take a picture with it. Everything about the Variant is great. I don't know about you guys with the wind noise but I listen to my music when I ride and I wear a bennie and a neck cover which make it air tight on my ears and I can't hear the wind noise. The only reason will make me think twice about buying another is that I have to pay an extra NZ$386.00 as custom fees. It's sucks but I want my helmet so bad. Revzilla and Icon, please I know a lot of people they wanna buy a Variant helmet from here but since they found out that I have to pay another NZ$386.00 custom fees they back off from it. I want a few but too bad cause by the time the helmet get here I am spending NZ$900.00+.
It's a great helmet and I recommend it.

My head is intact
A few years ago I went to the store looking to buy an Arai XD-somethingorother, and the salesperson (whose judgment I trust) convinced me to try a Hi-Viz Variant. It was a better fit, and the outwardly-curved visor had better optics. On the bike, there was a bit of buffeting and noise from the visor, but no big deal once I knew what to expect. It never made my neck tired on long trips, plus I commute east in the morning and west in the evening, so the visor was a great sun-blocking feature. In the rain (I live in Oregon), the helmet never fogged. Because of the curve of the visor, any water that seeped in around the top edge did not run down the inside of it, obscuring my vision, but merely dripped straight down and out the bottom of the helmet.
Three days ago, my helmet did its job. I lost traction on a wet road, avoiding a cager who violated my right of way. Helmet hit pavement at about 25 mph, on the right side, and scraped for a bit. I have no head trauma and no neck trauma. My head didn't bounce. I didn't even see stars. I will absolutely be buying this helmet again. I only wish they still made it in hi-viz orange.
