Icon Variant Battlescar Helmet
I have been eyeballin this helmet for over a year and I finally pulled the trigger. Although I have not ridden with it yet..darn you winter...I feel very secure in the fit. It has the look I wanted and the quality of the materials and the liner is the best I have ever tried on.
I had to exchange since I am a borderline medium/large and I went with a large at first. I needed to exchange for the medium and the fit is superb. I never had to exchange an online purchased item before and I must say Revzilla made it painless. Couldnt be happier with the customer service and quick turn around.
Overall this is a great helmet. One complaint is the visor change....could have been made a little more robust and easy to change, but no biggie.
Note when changing the lens...The plastic detent that holds the lens into the housing is a little tough to get it inside the track. I had to open the detent a little bit so that it would go inside. this part is crucial to getting the lens to seal properly, so please take your time and make sure you aren't too rough cause you will bend that detent and ruin the lens ability to stay tight. I got the Gold on the black BattleScar and all I can say is awesome.
Out-freakin-standard service from Revzilla. You guys will certainly be getting my business from here on out.

Great helmet... definitely turns heads
I love this helmet! Let me just get the negatives out of the way as there are very few, and all are minor... 1) this is not the most quiet helmet I have ridden in, but it isn't deafening by any means. 2) You will notice some buffeting at speed during shoulder checks, however individual results may vary (personally, with my tree trunk neck, it's little more than an annoying tug... but for those with smaller/weaker necks, it can be awkward at first) 3) While not the worst, changing out the face shield is not super quick.... Now on to what I love about this helmet... 1) It just looks freaking awesome.... there isn't a day of riding that goes by where I don't have people gawking as I roll by. 2) For its overall size, it is actually pretty lightweight 3) Seeing as I use this helmet while commuting, the peak really helps cut down on the early morning/ late afternoon glare from the sun. 4) It is super comfy and great ventilation, no hot spots on my head, no pinching, and plenty of airflow to keep your head from baking

Love this helmet!
First, I love this helmet! It is awesome looking, pretty quiet compared to other helmets I have had in the past, and very comfortable on long trips, even with earbuds in. The fit was fine, I read some reviews where they had issues with the seal, but mine sealed up just like the original face shield, maybe I got lucky. I bought the Charcoal Battlescar which came with the dark smoke face shield and a clear shield. The dark smoke is optically clear and I get very little reflection on the inside when looking out. I screwed up and must have used something abrasive and scratched the inside pretty bad when cleaning it. I ordered the silver face shield because I thought it would look cool, which it does, but it is as though the mirror is on the inside and you are staring at your face when looking through. The optical clarity is not as good as the original dark smoke either, but it is not that noticeable unless you look for it. I rode at all times of day and positions of the sun, but only found clarity and little reflection when the sun was at my back. I can't recommend the silver face shield, maybe it's better with the gold, but the dark smoke is not only clearer, it's also quite a bit darker for sunny days.

Comfortable fit, lots of airflow and looks sick!
I love this helmet! I've wanted it for a while. It's looks awesome especially with the mohawk. I got a gold shield on the black Battlescar. It's super sick looking!
Really comfortable and not very heavy. Simple features..nothing spectacular like my previous helmet (Scorpion Exo-1000). Vision parameters are awesome..I can see a lot more around me. Airflow is absolutely awesome and without the chin guard, you get twice as much air. It's great for the hotter climates.
When I first got this helmet it looked reddish brown. Then outside it was black and grey (like I expected). Under the lights in my bathroom it's purple. It is kind of a cool feature I wasn't expecting. The texture is really an awesome design. It's had a khaki padding interior too.
Overall, I love this helmet and would recommend it to any rider.

This is a great helmet, I live in subtropical part of Australia and cruise at 90mph plus so I was looking for a helmet with good ventilation with the visor down, the icon puts a pleasant movement of air down across the face . The visor will catch at high speed but only if you lift or turn your head which is not recommended anyway at the ton and up with no fairing lol

Great if specialized helmet
I've ridden with the helmet for almost two weeks to date. Mostly I've been in town & one day, rode the bike to a novice day on the track about an hour away. I have absolutely no complaints for in-town riding. It looks cool, is comforatable, vents very well, and noice at in-town speeds is not an issue. On the interstate, it is very noisy (a common complaint I have I guess for being a round oval). What is worse, the scoop/visor definitely buffets, especially when driving around cagers. On the track & back roads, the buffeting is less (fewer vehicles). The profile is narrower than the signet q, but not a problem. I had minimal fogging while riding through fog & in a warm rain. I haven't used the hemlet in the cold (yet).

would by again
great helmet. it offers great looks and protection. it flows alot of air to keep you cool and when it gets cold they even provided a chin thing to seal up the helmet and it doesnt fog up
only issue i had is one of the guide stubs on the visor broke from normal operation and is not covered under warrenty

Okay read all the reviews, was nervous on getting it. Used ICON measurement guide- spot on. Does fit very snug in the cheek pads...they do break in and get comfortable. I have about 2000k miles on this helmet now. Highway and backroads. Noise is much less then HJC and Fullmer that I had. Have it lots of rain and have had no issues with leaking in thru the lens. Visor surprised me with it not pulling my head around. Slight pull at higher speeds when turning your head for a moment in the 20-30 degree than goes away due to the cross vents.
Love this helmet and would recommend!
