Great Jacket I personally love this jacket. The liner makes it work for 3 seasons, and without definitely helps in the hot summer commutes. The styling is good and the functionality of the coat is also good. I do not typically rock headphones while riding but feel this jacket supports that aspect as well. My usage of this jacket is daily 40+ mile commuting in all weather types with lots of hwy included. The bike ridden is w/o a windshield so air flow is easily achieved. July 6, 2015
Fitting Problems This jacket fits really weird on me, when I am walking around town, it fits like a charm but right when I hop on my bike it bunches up and becomes very uncomfortable I'm wearing a size Large and I am 5'8 maybe 195, 2 bills. Its not such a big deal because It seems to adjusts itself when you start riding, but I do feel like this is a jacket for someone who has a very large torso, being that there is a lot of access material on the jacket (Because it is mostly a relax fit) it will tend to bunch up. I'm not sure if going with an attack fit will make the jacket feel and look better when riding. I understand that its supposed to fit loosely, but it starts to become a little annoying over time. Good, roomy jacket 6'5", 325 lbs, 46" waist, 37" sleeve, 53" chest (yep, big guy!) Ordered a 4XL Hypersport, which had most of the features I was looking for (actually wanted the prime, but none available) and was supposed to fit. Not a chance. 4" gap on closing the front. Revzilla suggested the Sanctuary, since it has a roomier cut and was available in a 5XL. Highs: Quality is very good. Really like the 3DO armor. Lot's of pockets, roomy, comfortable. Liner is effective, very warm at 50F on the first ride. I pulled the liner at about 70F and it hit about 85F that day, jacket was comfortable. Was expecting a bit more airflow without the liner, will be interesting to see how it does on 90+ days. The 2 way zipper on the cuff is a nice touch that allows for noticable airflow. Given that most of the synthetic doesn't flow as much as mesh, it might be nice to have a few more zippered inlets on the body. The neck is comfortable and interferes less with the helmet in the back than other jackets I own, but doesn't come up very high. At 50F, I was wondering a bit if I should have brought a neck piece for coverage. Lows: I *think* I could try a 4XL, it is a much bigger cut than the Hypersport. However, even then I think the arms would still be too large for me, which means the elbow armor moves more than I'd like for safety. The cuff is very large diameter, to the point where it's bulky and awkward to stuff into the gauntlet of my glove. I bought this because I wanted the protection of leather, which this has. I would like to see a bit more leather, and more open mesh for airflow, as well as a better cuff and snugger arms - which would be the Hypersport/Hypersport Prime. This was a good compromise though, and I believe its a good choice May 26, 2015
Great Jacket At first I ordered a large due to the sizing chart, upon pulling it out of the box I knew it was going to be too big. I sent it back and got a medium, much better. Something to keep in mind. The jacket itself is very well made along with most of the Icon gear I've handled. Its very comfortable to wear on and off the bike. In the product video I found it looking kind of fat because of the material in the stomach area, but it doesn't tend to look this way when I checked it on myself in the mirror. My only complaint is that is doesn't have an adjustable cuff diameter. It can be difficult to keep cold air out of your sleeves with a short glove and the liner out of the jacket. I would buy this jacket again. May 21, 2015
Big Boy Jacket I'm 6'4-6'5 280lbs. I'm sometimes on the heavier side. I first thought about ordering the 5XL after trying on Deinse and Alipine stuff but the awesome guys at Revzilla told me I was smoking crack. I briefly told them my dimensions which are about 6'5, 280lbs, 37 sleeve, 56/57 inch chest, not fat nor flabby or disproportionate I'm chubby but not athletic at all and they suggested to go with a 4XL but even then they suggested the 3XL. I went ahead ordered the 4XL with expedited shipping trying to get it into for a long weekend ride but unfortunately it was too large! REVZILLA WENT AHEAD AND SENT ME A RETURN SHIPPMENT LABLE 100% at no charge to me! I then received the my 3XL Brand new Icon Sanctuary Matte Black Jacket! GUYS, this is an awesome jacket! The elbow pad are perfect, length of sleeve is just right and exactly where you want it. Back pad is 100% in the right place and the leather looks GREAT! I thought at first the jacket was gong to be all show and no go but this jacket is perfect for the EVERYDAY rider or RYDER! Leather feels awesome, pads are great the S.T. Joseph Charm is a great touch, phone pockets are grey zippers are excellent and easy to use, quilted inner lining is fantastically made and totally functional! The waist ratcheting adjuster are awesome! With all these positives the only NEGATIVE I can say I do have is that after 2XL Icon only offers Matte Black in these jackets I would have loved to use this jacket in the matte black and green! I use this jacket for street bike and sportster use. 2001 Honda CBR600 F4i - Stunt Use 2005 Kawi ZX10R - Recreational 2011 HD Sportster 48 -Recreational WORKS GREAT DONT KINK OR HAVE ANY TIGHT AREAS. Relax fit but not baggy! Oh, btw, CYCLEGEAR says they have these in stock but THEY DO NOT! Call Revzilla and they'll tell you where they have it and how long it'll take to get it to your door step. awesome jacket this jacket is everything it claims to be.very comfortable. April 27, 2015
No regrets I was between this and the Scorpion Clutch jacket for $200 more; I wanted to save some money so I went with the Sanctuary. I am 6'1" 200 lbs (with long arms) and the L fits like a dream. With the liner removed you get a ton of airflow in the armpits and back. Not an overly aggressive jacket; it is a relaxed fit and super comfortable. April 24, 2015
Great jacket! This jacket looks and feels great. Feels protected. Reason I had to upgrade to this jacket was the zipper on my old jacket failed-that won't be an issue for this jacket for many seasons. Haven't ridden in warm conditions yet but should be plenty breathable for warmer conditions. April 20, 2015

Christopher F: Leather for protection. Unfortunately not as quiet as the discontinued Icon Design line, but that did not have D30 which appears to be more flexible. May 12, 2014

A shopper asked: Does this jacket have any connections in the back for clipping or zipping onto pants? Many jackets have a strap that can clip onto a belt loop...wondering whether or not this jacket has this strip Jun 19, 2014

Robert A asked: Does this jacket run big or true to size? I don't know which size to get because I have a chest size of 40 but have longer than normal arms. Also will the white version provide as much visibility as the hi viz? Mar 16, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (2) No (0)
Thomas S: I also have a 40" chest (my arms measured 33-34") and the LG fits me perfectly. The sleeves hang a little past my wrists while standing but they sit right where they're supposed to when I'm in 3/4 or tuck. It's a little baggy around the shoulders but once the leather breaks in it should conform to them a little better. Can't speak to the visibility as I got the stealth black jacket (looks badass) but nothing will make sure you're seen as well as hi-viz yellow. Mar 16, 2014

A shopper asked: are there any reflective things on the stealth jacket? Apr 19, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (0)
Thomas S: Nope, although I guess if you know any chicks you could always have them "bedazzle" it (lol). If you want something that'll make you more visible I'd stay away from anything with 'stealth' in the description. You also might want to get a really loud set of pipes for your ride. I feel that a loud exhaust is more effective than a bright jacket for making your presence known. Ride safe. Apr 19, 2014

Tahir M: No reflective material on the stealth jacket. Just got mine about a week ago and it is fully "stealth". In my opinion, a good vest or hi viz bag is necessary. I purchased the squad 3 mil-spec bag and it goes great with this jacket! Good luck Apr 25, 2014

A shopper asked: Hi, if I'm looking for a good winter jacket in a sport bike style would this be a good choice? Would the leather overlord be better? I live in NC so winters are mild and I have a mesh jacket so breath-ability for summer is not an issue. Thanks. Dec 28, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
David W: I love my sanctuary jacket, but I don't think any perforated jacket would be my first choice in winter. With the lining in you don't really notice a breeze through the vents, but there is a noticeable amount of wind coming down around the collar.

This is a great 3 season jacket, but I'd go with something else as a dedicated winter jacket. With the lining in, I can wear mine down to about 40°F with a tee shirt and sweatshirt underneath.

David T: Parts of this jacket are perforated but it does have a thermal liner which is great in late fall but as far as a full on winter jacket I would advise against it.
With the thermal liner in the jacket is pretty snug so layering would be immobilizing (I've tried it)
You don't want leather for winter anyways. Leather gets hard in cold also limiting mobility

Richard C: It's not a winter jacket per say, but with a good wind proof jacket under it it does well, I've worn it in the upper 40's and was comfortable with the liner in and a wind proof light jacket under it. Dec 28, 2014

peter b: I live in Hampton Roads area of Virginia and it holds up pretty well in the 30s-50s. it has the full quiled liner which is nice. I usually throw a light sweater underneath it just to play safe. I've also gone down with this jacket and it held up beautifully. Some scuffs but saved my arm and shoulder and it's still useable Dec 28, 2014

Oscar M: Hi
The jacket is more a light wight jacket, so i don't use it on these temperature. But for short rides les the 10 miles i could work, with good underware.
I use the jacket from late spring to early autum.
For me it is not a winter jacket.
Kind regards

Tim S asked: I've got the icon striker back/chest protector. Is the coat designed to accommodate this, or should I buy a size larger? May 12, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Edward C: Hi. This kacket is designed to accomodate the icon striker back/chest protector. I did not need to buy a size up.

Be aware that the new icon jacket sleeves seem extra bulky loose after 2012. My torso fit fine, but my shoulders and sleeves seem to be ao out of place, and I had a small! This jacket is too bulky for me to the point that if I go down, my elbows and my shoulders aee toast!

I woiluld not recommand this jacket, unless your body build looks like the bulky model in the revzilla video.
May 13, 2014
Reply to Edward Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Richard C: Tim, I ordered a large because I have a 42 inch chest so that's what the size chart said I needed, it was just too loose. So I returned it and got a medium that is perfect. So if you measure your chest and use the size chart I think your striker rig will fit just fine if you take the D3O armour out of the jacket. But the jacket is not designed specifically for that. It is designed to be worn by its self. May 12, 2014

Oscar M: Hi Tim
It is a little difficult to give you a good answer. The jacket is designed to be tight, so it will not be blown up by the wind. When I see the pictures of the icon stryker back/chest protector, I think you should buy a size lager. But the jacket has already a back protection.

A shopper asked: Does the Stryker ce back protector fit on this jacket? Thanks for the help. Mar 20, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Michael M: I would not know if the Stryker back protector fits inside the pocket in the back of the jacket but the one that comes in the jacket is 15.75in tall, 6.5in wide at the bottom and top, and 10.5in wide in the center at the widest spot, and it's about a half inch think. Again I just use the D3O armor it came with, I do not have a Stryker back plate or vest. Only one I know that has those is Downshift. Hope this helps mate. Mar 21, 2015
Reply to Michael Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
John C: I'm not familiar with the Stryker, but it looked like it would fit a number of back protection. I returned the jacket because of poor quality stitching, with the liner. I would not recommend this jacket. Apr 5, 2015

JOSE R: Hi, I purchased this Jacket last season and it definitely served the purpose. I'm 5'4 and weight 135 at the time of purchase. It fit me just perfect, the jacket is well ventilated for those hot New York summer days. this jacket does not feel stiff like some other riding jacket which fit too tight, and don't give you enough flexibility.
