Went down with this helmet This is a great helmet for protection, I was ran off the road wearing an Airframe helmet. Me and my bike ended up flying down a ditch after hitting the pavement when I got ran off the road by a minivan.. Can't stand minivans lol. I still have it sitting on a shelf where everyone can see it, it's scraped up but it did it's job and I got up and walked away. My leg was torn open but my noggin was just fine. Love this helmet! 2002 R6 2006 GSXR1000 2008 Hayabusa 2009 Ducati 1198S Corse July 18, 2014
yellow visor I was worried at first about the yellow visor, but it turns out to be great during the day and night, light doesn't bother what so ever. And im in sunshine state July 15, 2014
Great product This helmet is awesome. It can get loud at higher speeds, which is expected. I think this is mostly because of the shield covers. there are little holes in the shield where the covers attach which can occasionally whistle if you catch it just right. The thing that bugs me the most is how the shield locks to the helmet. It is VERY secure. At times it feels like I'm trying to tear the shield off the helmet. I still love this helmet. I see a lot of Airframes on the road, but most of them wish they had bought the ghost, unless they have a custom painted one. June 21, 2014
Great hot weather helmet, bad wet weather helmet I have had this helmet for a couple of months now, my other helmet is an Arai TourX3. I love the style, airflow and low weight. This is what made me buy the helmet in the first place. I live in a hot/wet climate so venting is paramount. (Thailand) In 35c+ degree hot/wet climate any helmet will be hot to wear and you will sweat in it, so good airflow goes a long way to help with comfort on long rides. I cut my hair really short and can feel the airflow from the top vents on to of my head. Nice. However there is no such thing as a free lunch. With good airflow comes noise and it is a noisy helmet, but earplugs can fix that. Field of vision is comparable to my Arai helmet. The yellow faceshield is good for cloudy days and only just acceptable at night time. However on sunny days, it sucks. You need to wear sunglasses or get a tinted faceshield. Wearing sunglasses underneath this helmet is tricky because it is such a tight fit and for me leads to pain around the temples/ears. I ordered a gold tinted shield for those sunny days which is really nice. But as I ride at night almost everyday, I tend to use the yellow the most. Now to the really bad part of this helmet: My experience with riding in the rain (It's rainy season here in Thailand now and it rains pretty much several times everyday) is that the rubber seal that connects with the inside of the faceshield on the upper part lets in water. So when it starts to rain lines of water will run down on the left half of the inside of the faceshield only the left half. This leads to distorted / blurry field of vision and fogging of the inside of the "Fog-Free" faceshield. On a multi day ride last week it got so bad I tried to tape shut the gap between the helmet and the faceshield. This however came off when I hit the cloud line in the mountains and visibility came down to 25 meters and I needed to crack the shield for better vision. So in the end I had to ride with an open shield and rain down into my face. At that time, I was wishing I had brought my Arai helmet instead. So my "Yes" recommendation above has some caveats to it. best helmet I've ever bought Happy customer I'll keep shopping with revzilla!!!! May 26, 2014
Light and comfortable, slightly noisier than expected This helmet is very good quality. I bought the silver mirror sheild which makes for a sweet looking combo. Airflow is great but slightly louder than my last helmet. May 5, 2014
Overall nice piece of gear I almost sent this one back due to size. I'm a medium in every helmet I've ever owned but this one runs small in my opinion. After a week riding it did break in nicely. It is a noisy helmet but nothing I can't live with. The air spoiler on the rear tends to grab the wind when looking back. The air flow into the helmet is the best ive had and eliminates issues with fogging. There is no room for a blue tooth in this helmet. Overall a very good helmet for short rides but a bit pricey. Super light! May 3, 2014
Absolutely great helmet! I was a little hesitant to pull the trigger on this helmet but after wearing the helmet all day today I am really happy I did. I have a slightly round head and I am coming from a HJC that I wear in a medium size. The helmet definitely runs a little small. After measuring my head according to the directions on the size chart I was at the small end of the large size and I had to return the helmet and go with an extra large. But the helmet now fits excellent. The only complaint I have is that the helmet is quite loud. I knew this going in and with ear plugs its definitely tolerable. Something I was really impressed with is how stable the helmet is in the wind which will help with fatigue. If you're on the fence because of the price or maybe the reviews saying it's loud go ahead buy it, you won't be disappointed. Great fitment, very comfortable, great airflow, extremely light and really stable in the wind. Can't go wrong! May 2, 2014

scott l: Its loud. I don't carry a decibel meter ...so I can't tell you for sure. I don't like the wind noise. So I wear headphones or ear buds and can still hear the wind... I am very happy with the rest of the helmet. Its by far the best helmet I have ever used. Dec 2, 2013

James M: It's alittle noises , but it's light and if you ride long hours then buy it. All you need is some ear plugs. Most light helmets are loud . I would buy it again. But you will need some ear plugs. Dec 2, 2013

A shopper asked: Does the face shield "ratchet" up, i.e., can you open the face shield in increments to aid air flow? Or do you have to have it all the way open or closed? Jul 27, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Wacey L: Yes it does. I almost aways lift it up one or two notches when sitting in traffic. It can be a little hard to open it with thicker gloves because of the pin that secures it. Jul 27, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
James M: I would do xL, I allways wore xL, but now I am where ing a M , after it breaks in. You want it alittle tight then it breaks in and does not move at any speed. You can allways send it back rev is the best co. For that. It is also a very light helmet. So you will need ear plugs. It's a very good helmet , you will love it. Ride save enjoy!! Jm Mar 18, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
A S: This helmet is actually DOT and ECE rated, NOT SNELL RATED. At least, thats what a customer service rep on the chat feature told me. Just trying to clear that up. If there is any confusion you could probably just look in the pictures at the back view of the helmet and see both of the ratings, hope this helped. Apr 19, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Magnus M: I haven't tested it yet, but I did check it out for you now and it does look like there's pockets to slip speakers into (not like my Shohei where you remove part of the padding to mount adhesive speakers).

I would add a picturelink, but seems it's not allowed.

A shopper asked: Is this helmet AS/NZS 1698 certified? does it have the sticker? Aug 28, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Nathan L: I would say no. The US helmets are DOT approved and we here in Aus are required to carry the AS/NZ 1698 approval. Check your state legislation though because they are starting to change the ruling and you might find that your state will allow differ approval helmets such as Euro and DOT as they are basically the exact same helmet. Hope this helps Sep 3, 2013

James M: I don't think so, it's a race ing helmet . It's pretty tight. Sorry I could not help you. As for a helmet it's great light and I live in Florida it moves a lot of air inside it. I love it best helmet I ever had. Also does not move around at any speed. 100 miles 180 stays put. Have a great day. May 19, 2014
