Excellent Carbon helmet!! I've always wanted a carbon fiber helmet and this fulfills my needs! It's a beautiful helmet with really badass styling. The hi-viz yellow visor is a plus as well because you can see better during the day or night. The construction of the helmet feels really high quality. Now for my one gripe, this thing is SUPER LOUD!! I mean, It's probably due to the really good airflow, but wow is this thing loud. I ride a 07 R6 with full Leo Vince system and I can barely hear my bike over the wind noise. I always wear ear plugs so it's not a major problem so if it's no issue to you then get the helmet. Lastly, I bought this because for the $375, you can't find a better carbon helmet. I originally wanted a bell star carbon, but I will gladly take this for $375. Absolutely amazing helmet with great features and did I say badass styling? July 31, 2015
Hot Florida days Overall the helmet is amazing and worth every penny only draw back for me was the wind noise, it is the loudest out of any helmet I have ever owned, but the air flow is amazing you can really feel it flowing in 90+ degree Florida days so I'll take the loud wind noise for the air flow. June 8, 2015
Great helmet just too noisy It's a great helmet and it is comfortable and light but it's just too loud and it's best to wear ear plugs with it. It is aerodynamic and it looks great! I def reccomend it! June 8, 2015
Doesn't get any better than this! Thumbs up for the Ghost Carbon Airframe.Has everything you need for a quality helmet.Every time I go riding, everyone always says what a cool lid I have. Then the face shield really sharpens everything during the day time.Plus it comes w/ a cool bag & a cloth to keep your shield clean. You won't be disappointed if you buy this helmet. Perfection of a helmet. I have went through many helmets and i have to say this is by far my most favorite and best purchase i have made. Fits extremely and comfortable. Incredibly light weight almost as if you're barely wearing a helmet yet offers superior A class protection. And lets face it, its sexy. Comes with a yellow visor. Recommend getting a clear visor if you dont like yellow tints. June 2, 2015
Exactly what I was looking for I typically only ride about 10 mile distances at a time but evey month or so I like to ride to cities about 1-2 hours away on the expressway. I noticed that due to the constant position for an extended amount of time make my neck very tight and sore with previous helmets. This carbon fiber helmet has helped a great deal. It is very light and a lot more comfortable then I thought it would be. The medium size fits my head very well (hat size 7 1/8). Overall look and build quality is very nice. I've heard other people say the helmet is loud due to the light material at higher speeds but it doesn't seem too much loader than my old typical Icon helmet I had prior. Overall very satisfied with this helmet. May 31, 2015
Awesome Helmet! Just got mine in the mail yesterday and love it already. Packaging was nice and well put together, the box it came in represented the price of the helmet. It wasn't some cheap box with an expensive helmet inside. Helmet comes with a nice carrying bag, a few stickers, and a cloth w/ spray bottle to clean the face shield. It didn't come with any glass cleaner though which was a bit surprising, but it is inexpensive and readily available anywhere. The yellow shield comes pre-installed, I also bought a dark smoke shield to go along with the helmet. Which was included in the box and came in its own plastic sleeve. After getting the helmet out of the box and trying it on. The fit seemed very snug but not uncomfortable(keep in mind this is my first helmet and have nothing to compare it to). My head measured 23.25 inches and I purchased a size large. The shield locks securely in place on the bottom and the vents are easy to open/close with gloves on and easy to find. Shortly afterward I began the process of changing the shields out. Taking the original shield off was no problem, the locking mechanisms were relatively easy to open but did not seem like they were flimsy or would open easily at highway speeds. Removing the face shield and the black covers(cant remember what theyre called) was easy. However, getting the new shield on was a totally different ballgame. It was more difficult than I expected it to be. Eventually, after some swearing, I was able to get it in. It came down to manipulating the hooks when the lock is in the open position. The helmet looks awesome with the dark smoke shield! Being the first helmet Ive purchased and have not had a chance to ride with it yet, I cannot speak about protection, durability, air flow, and noise level. I will update the review once I have ridden with the helmet on. Overall, Id say this helmet is definitely a good buy and would recommend purchasing from Revzilla. Delivery was timely and as expected without any delays. May 14, 2015
Love the look and feel of this helmet! Amazing! Love the looks and feels of the Rubatone. Tactical visor adds the perfect element, although I will most likely be switching it to my tinted visor. March 30, 2015

Eric H: From the reviews that I read what sold me was the amount of responses on how well the helmet gets a lot of air in it. My experience in the past with many full face helmets are the ventilation systems aren't that great and before you know it, I get aggravated because I'm hot, my head is sweating, and then my head starts to itch and before you know you are pulling over taking your helmet off and scratching your head because it's not flowing enough air. Let's hope this helmet changes this! Jun 14, 2015

Wacey L: Yes it does. I almost aways lift it up one or two notches when sitting in traffic. It can be a little hard to open it with thicker gloves because of the pin that secures it. Jul 27, 2014

james m: I would do xL, I allways wore xL, but now I am where ing a M , after it breaks in. You want it alittle tight then it breaks in and does not move at any speed. You can allways send it back rev is the best co. For that. It is also a very light helmet. So you will need ear plugs. It's a very good helmet , you will love it. Ride save enjoy!! Jm Mar 18, 2014

scott l: Its loud. I don't carry a decibel meter ...so I can't tell you for sure. I don't like the wind noise. So I wear headphones or ear buds and can still hear the wind... I am very happy with the rest of the helmet. Its by far the best helmet I have ever used. Dec 2, 2013

A S: This helmet is actually DOT and ECE rated, NOT SNELL RATED. At least, thats what a customer service rep on the chat feature told me. Just trying to clear that up. If there is any confusion you could probably just look in the pictures at the back view of the helmet and see both of the ratings, hope this helped. Apr 19, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Nicholas J: Nope. its pretty noisy, especially after 60mph. But honestly its such a nice helmet i dont even care. Its super light and vented making it comfortable when its hot out (I'm from florida where summer is high 90s everyday). If you were to ride at high speeds for long distance just throw in some ear plugs. Definitely one of the best looking and feeling helmets out there, don't let a little wind noise affect your feelings towards this helmet. Jul 23, 2015

james m: Sorry to tell you this but the icon airframe ghost carbon is junk!!! After a few months you will start seeing white spots all over the out side. The outer layer starts to look really bad. People who ever purchased carbon helmet will be very unsatisfied with it. I am not happy with mine. After months you will start seeing white spots, also mine fell apart on top of it and icon will not sell me it. Icon is not a good company. I Talked to them and they do not care about there customers at all. This co. Sucks cheep junk made in Korea. As for cleaning it spray wax is what they told me. A shopper asked: Is this helmet AS/NZS 1698 certified? does it have the sticker? Aug 28, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Nathan L: I would say no. The US helmets are DOT approved and we here in Aus are required to carry the AS/NZ 1698 approval. Check your state legislation though because they are starting to change the ruling and you might find that your state will allow differ approval helmets such as Euro and DOT as they are basically the exact same helmet. Hope this helps Sep 3, 2013
