Pretty decent for a modular
I find the HJC IS MAX BT doesn't vent too well and is a bit noisier than I thought it would be. I bought this for the ability to use the Chatterbox BT communicator. A friend I ride with at times has the setup and I figured we could chat as the setup is pretty nice. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and would buy it again. I think for the price it's a good helmet but I really wish it vented better and was a little quieter. Oh, another thought, I bought the Matte Black and love how it looks. That is one thing HJC pulled off very well.

Nice helmet for the price
Order "at least" 1 size larger. I ordered 1 size larger and had to return it for the next larger size. Fit is very tight for size indicated. It would be nice if helmet had a slide lock for the strap instead of the d-rings, but for the price I shouldn't expect too much. Haven't tried the built-in bluetooth option yet. Noise level with my regular bluetooth earpiece was good. I could actually ride and have a conversation when necessary without having to shout.

Helmet fits great, only comment is that it is louder than I would like. Though I read reports that a modular would be louder that a regular full face. Other wise the helmet is great.

overall great helmet
Great helmet. Especially for the price, the helmet is great. The helmet started out a little snug though. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and it's fine. Definitely a must buy.

Great Features but Not Sized for Long Oval Head
I bought this helmet primarily for the sun visor feature, which was a welcome upgrade from my original modular. I had to buy a 2XL, which is one size above the size table recommendation, but I still have fitment issues. The sun visor knocks my glasses when lowering in place unless I press the shell forward. The chin bar is very close to my chin - I can hit it by moving my jaw forward - so there is no room to position at a boom microphone. I also had to deepen the speaker recesses so that my slim profile speakers didn't press into my earlobes. Without the pin lock upgrade, this helmet fogs up quickly, particularly when stopped, so I almost always ride with the shield cracked open or full up. Overall, the helmet is solidly designed and fine for my short commutes, but not comfortable on a long oval head for long rides.

Best bank for the buck!
After reviewing several other HJC helmets, I feel that this one is by far the best bang for the buck. You get the benefits of the air channels and a plethora of vents. The sun visor is a very nice addition the helmet. Overall, I'm very happy with the item, and the Matte Black looks beautiful.

Good product for the money
Great product was tru to size I was looking for a light helmet that had good visabilty to the sides and this one has both. In fact its the same hemet as a well known bike manufacturer sells with thier name on it and $100 more!
