Good product I purchased this helmet for my wife. I own several HJC helmets and they are great for the price. They are also comfortable and last a long time. The ones I have seen have not only been DOT approved but Snell as well. December 17, 2012

Great fit. OMG! I love this helmet! I have tried on many helmets trying to find the perfect fit and this is it! I feel secure without it being too close. I never feel that need to adjust the helmet while riding. Plus, it just looks fabulous! July 24, 2012
Great value! This is my second helmet, so I can only compare it to my first. But so far I love it, I have had this helmet for about a week and several hundred miles... compared to my previous helmet, the noise from my pretty loud Honda f4i is almost unnoticeable. Although there is a fair amount of wind noise but that is expected at highway speeds. another feature that is nice is the shield lock, and that the air flow ducks are easy to operate with gloves. Air flow.. not as good as I expected, at slower speeds I find myself riding with the shield up to get more air flow. but it has been over 100 degrees the last week. and tolerable. also, the helmet is very tight, I used the size chart and ordered a medium but is sometimes difficult to remove. overall, a great helmet for the $ ! cant beat 100 bucks for a great looking and comfortable helmet. July 5, 2012

I'm looking to buy a helmet that is quiet, lightweight, has anti-fog, and is as safe as possible....for a reasonable price. Which of the two helmets would you recommend? And does the HJC CL-16 Shock have anti-fog?

Answer: 
To begin, the CL-16 is Snell and DOT approved, the CS-R2 is just DOT.

CL-16: Lighter weight, better venting – with extra exhaust vents on the chin for extra anti-fog, and this helmet comes with a Pinlock Lens and Shield. It also has removable/washable liners.

CS-R2: No Breathgaurd or Chin curtain included. Liners are removable/washable, has built-in communication pockets – which means that there is a larger space in the liner over the ears.
