Save your money!!!

Gerrbings provides a jacket that is better in quality than my Nike warm up jackets, but lacks in the function ability department as well as the quality of the material they use to construct the jacket.
the heat is a joke it doesn't even get hot and if it starts to warm it shuts off...I can't sit there and time a battery but I know it's NOT working. The material after wearing it 5 times has the worn out clothing fuzzies on the nylon based material the jacket is made of, looks like I wore it for 5 years straight.
This is a mere $80 jacket that should not be sold w the impression it could be warmer with power, nor outside alone or a mid layer.
I can see it working forThe 10 minute review but wow what a disappointment, no need to get the gloves and vest after this expirence.

Very Disappointed
I hate to give a negative review. First let me say this has nothing to do with the outstanding service I receive from Revzilla - it is about the Gerbings Core S2 jacket.
The jacket itself looks to be well make. I'm 6'0' and 185ibs and take a medium. The jacket is designed to fit tight in order for the core heat to work. Overall it fits great and the material is warm even without it being on. Now for the bad news. For some reason, my battery cuts off on the lower settings. it just turns itself off. At full power, the battery that comes with the jacket only last 2 hours so the lower setting are important. I called Gerbings and it took forever to get a response which was - we have had some issues but try putting a rubber bank around the battery and plug. This works and when the jacket performs as designed I really like it. However, at $199 it is a lot of money for a defective product.
I would be very hesitant to buy another one with the same technology or for that matter any of the Gerbing line.

Hello. I live in Russia, and in winter the temperature is from -20 to -38. And often very windy. I wonder if this jacket will keep me warm for about 3-4 hours outdoors. And how shall I take care of it, i mean can i use usual washing machine to clean the jacket?
P.S.: please don't make any suggestions, i need facts. don't want to freeze 'till death)
